    Have you ever wonder how to start a yoga sequence to warm up and stretch your body in the morning? This Iyengar yoga class led by Kathy Cook and Juan Carlos is for you. This yoga sequence focuses on balance and stability through lengthening and strengthening. Whether you want to DIY your yoga sequence, or if you are on the go and don’t have much time, you can practice this short sequence as a starting point. Kathy and Juan Carlos are both certified Iyengar yoga teachers. The action included in this Iyengar yoga class includes some basic asanas-yoga poses accessible for beginners.

    What position is the neck in the first three poses ? ESP downward dog . This is a fantastic lesson and just what I needed

      Hi Tara! The head in downward dog ideally in this demo is between the arms. As one gets more opened in the shoulders the head and neck descend.
      The other poses were first mostly done in the beginning position with a concave upper back so the head is more lifted. Moving deeper in the poses we take the head and neck downward but extension is the first criteria for direction.
