Dom exudes supervillain energy, but Laurie is the one to be wary of in the grand scheme.
Dom is the eccentric villain who you KNOW is planning something if he hasn't already announced it.
Laurie is the cunning villain keeping in the shadows, revealing his plan only when it's too late for anyone to do anything about it
That's probably why he played such a convincing and slightly hilarious and unnerving Stalin in their House Rules: Communopoly
I gotta say, Dom's webcam doesn't do him justice.
He looks both less and more sinister at the same time, and I dig it.

With the tie and the stubble, Dom really fits the look of a failed gangster who ultimately gets betrayed and dies before the end of the movie! Makes me think that it would be incredibly entertaining to see the team play Fiasco!

Hands down, best moment for me is Adam poisoning Sully then immediately realizing that he is still handcuffed to him. I die laughing every time I see it. 36:00 for the curious
i think the shining tell of this game being great is the fact that it got laurie and brooke to literally conspiratorially whisper to each other a plan to poison another member of the heist. amazing
Sully came so close to winning. Iirc the rules state that a player who lands the plane and has more money than the parachuters have in excess of the amount they need then that player wins and the parachuters lose :P If that rule came into effect I could only imagine the hilarity that would have ensued when they realised Sully was in fact the only winner.
Yep, the rules allow one more turn for anyone left on the plane after everyone parachutes out. Sully could have spent his last turn (after the others parachuted out) by: looting $30 thousand from Dom, discarding 3 cards and (hopefully) finding the pilots license, then coasting down to the ground winning on account of having a higher end-score.
With the pilots license he would very likely have been able to stick the landing.
i absolutely want more of this holy shit this game is so fun. this is madness. madness of the highest order and i adore it.

28:43 THAT CUT. "We're going to die together" and Dom going "and I'm going to choose when and how" clearly had some hilarious followup, because that was a HARD cut. First time on this show that made me go "hmmmm, that Patreon is starting to look mighty interesting".

This was a lot of fun and way more cutthroat then I was expecting. Still the joy of Dom and the Best Friends Club was unmatched.

I still love and feel joy at these in-person BGC, so jealous of y'alls playroom. Also yay for some new blood with Brooke and Dom! One thing I would like from the series in the future though is a little more complex/intense/or bigger games. Since Cosmic Encounters all the games have been light, silly, and fun which is lovely. But I crave some big box monsters in my life.
I hope they do Twilight Imperium. Basically the mother of all complex games

Kinda surprised y'all aren't doing horror games for October. Would love to see some Betrayal or Mansions of Madness. I've never heard of this game before, though. It looks like a good time!

I’d imagine this is a function of filming schedule. Likely this was filmed earlier, not necessarily with an eye to release times. Also there’s going to be a lot of working around individual players schedules, possibly filming a bunch of videos together in a batch.
This channel has easily become my favorite week to week watch. It's gotten even better since it became in person.

I’ve watched a lot of these, and I honestly think Hit the Silk is probably my favorite episode of Board Game Club. Just everything that makes this channel great all hitting perfectly imo.
