I'v had one back in 1985 love that mini bike. I pant the bike with lacquer paint.
At that time my kids I made the frame and order the parts got the engine at Harbor freight tools and got the pant at Napa auto parts in can's.

I've had that happen myself, and the way I fixed it was flipping the brake pads around.
