You didn't need to cut off the bar because the torque converter should have a 1 inch plate to put the engine on. That plate eliminates the need to cut that piece off. Unless you were straight chaining it which it looks that way in which case you would just need to cut the mount for the chain guard. I straight chained mine and I went from 25mph to 41 mph. I just lost most of the takeoff speed I had but that's alright because now I can cruise the country roads almost going the speed limit

Do not worry about cutting out that bar on the back. We race off road a lot, and that back area is not where these frames will typically crack. What engine do you have? All small block crankshafts except the Hisun 196 use a 5/16x24 bolt. The Hisun 196 uses a metric bolt, M6. Either bolt needs to be at least 2 inches long. When you tighten it down use blue loctite on the threads.

I don't get it. By the time you add all the upgrades that people do on these things, you could actually buy a real motorcycle. Instead of some Briggs & Stratton wannabe with no rear suspension and crappy front suspension. To each their own I guess but like I said. I don't get it. The only real purpose I can see for these things is for a kid to learn on without having to use a hand clutch. Otherwise they're just cheap Chinese junk.

Some people love the fact that they can build their own and modify these simple machines with a few tools. They also love the fact that they can get a minibike starting at $600, where as a real motorcycle like a Honda 50 typically start new for $1600-$2000. Different strokes for different folks.
