Appreciate the work, made my Saturday night go a lot smoother then expected with all those spacers and washers lol.. now time to put on the stage 1 kit, can’t have alotta go without alotta woah.
Ok so I have a couple of questions the silver thing with the arm on it the part that likes out and has a hole where does that screw into so it doesn’t move when ur driving I’m missing that piece on my minibike that’s literally all I need for it to run please help!!!
I attempted to adjust my brakes, when i move the bike it would squeal, as if the brakes are too tight. I took apart the entire assembly to get familiar with it. When putting it back together i noticed the bolt for the brake shaft was stripped. As I put it all back together I could not get the tension right. I know that bolts holds the shaft in place I am going to replace that bolt and go back to adjusting the brakes by adjusting the adjustment bolt. Any other things i should look out for?
From what you shared it sounds like you are on the correct path to getting it fixed. Also the bike should be under warranty. Call Coleman and have them send you a new brake kit, (free of charge) due to it being damaged. Coleman warranty center is super easy to deal with from my past experience.
Mann I did this to my baja warrior and the brakes still not working, i replaced the springs and cable and drum still no brakes . The only thing I can think is the inside of the rim is Brent
I don't think so. I think that they are not being spread apart far enough to brake the wheel. You may have to adjust the brake lever so that the brakes spread wider applying more preasure to the drum.
I am so pissed right now. I did several different performance mods on my mini bike and at one point i had the rear wheel off and when i put it back on and was about to take it for a test drive i realized the brake was no longer working so now i can't go riding until i figure out how to fix the brake. I can't figure out for the life of me what's wrong with it. I thought it was the brake cable at first cause the end of the cable some how managed to get caught and wrapped around the rear axl while i was riding and it locked up the back wheel when that happened. So the end of the cable got bent from that. I ordered a new brake cable replacement online and just installed it and thought i was gonna be good to go once i had the new cable in but of course it still doesn't work. I pull the brake lever and get nothing at all. So i'm assuming there must be something wrong with the drum brake assembly nut i have no clue what it could be ? Is there any small parts or screws or something inside or outside the brake drum assembly that could have fallen out when i took off the rear wheel that the brake cannot work without ? Cause i remember when i took the wheel off the whole brake assembly kinda popped off the wheel and some pieces came off and shot across the floor but i dunno what they were i never did find them after that lol. Please can someone tell me what to look for on the assembly that is crucial to the brake working ? know nothing about brakes and cannot ride until i have this fixed. I already tried tighten that nut at the end of the cable and it still didn't work. I got tension but still the drum brake was not working when i pulled brake lever. Just keeps rolling no matter how much i pull lever. This sucks !!
Select Coleman 196cc on left side and then click brake. It should give you a brake diagram. alpha-sports.com/coleman_parts.htm?fpg=%2Fcoleman%2FUTV%2FOutfitter+550++UT550%2F16.htm
On my BT200x the rear sprocet will not line up with the driven sprocket ,I notice there is only 1 spacer per side versus 2 and the through axle bolt is through from other side could this be my prob? I have a 3/4 sleeve over the 5/8 crank shaft the new Coleman’s have and a torque converter .hope feeling better and sorry to here about friends

If it won't engage when the adjustment screw is all the way tight, what do you do?
@ShinkleGunDog pull the screw of and turn the arm closer to the front tires
How are the brakes pads/shoes holding up?
Thanks great video that's exactly what I was looking for.
thanks for the video. very helpful. glad you overcame cv19!

thanks man, for your concern. Good video
My pads don’t stick to the side walls you think the wheel is too worn out?
I don't think so. I think that they are not being spread apart far enough to brake the wheel. You may have to adjust the brake lever so that the brakes spread wider applying more preasure to the drum.
@@GrayHairedDad thank you I was thinking the same thing I see you can adjust the lever position 👍🏼

Excessive brake dust in the drum can and will cause it to squeal
hey so my drum brake completely spun around and snapped my brake cable, idk how to spin it back around
Mines just did the same. How did you fix yours?
@@gascrazy15 the part inside that rubs snapped so i had to get a new one
mine did the same, fixing it now
Did you have to remove chain or the brake cable
Yes
Hello, when I ride my crf230f the brakes sometimes stuck when I press it too hard and it squeaks only when I pull off. What do you think the issue is?
I don't see the link for the break parts in the description. The break on mine squeals like a virgin on her wedding night.

It could be. You could try and lose. The motor and shift it over to align better with the chain. Let me know if you have questions.
I just brought new brakes and it's still not working
What's not working? Does it engage when you pull the brakes at all?
Hahaha heard grinding in my “brakes” lol whole bearing blew
It needed to be cleaned. That’s all.
Im so depressed
We all are good luck get well soon only the strong survive

about to change my kids now too from a horrible squeal. Common issue sounds like!
