We always had a big college come to our small town to practice. They wouldn't ever tell us where they were from, but they sounded great from sun up to sun down in the summer.

My fucking high school marching band does this shit. One day at band camp every year some of the brass kids pull this shit, and every year I cuss them out in front of everybody. Just give us the extra damn 15 minutes or what ever of sleep. Damn.
We were on tour somewhere in New Jersey and a gang of local kids wondered into the gym and started screaming. The low brass section chased the punks down the street and we all returned to our sleep. The kids were never seen again. That's how things were handled in the early 80's.

To put it into perspective, the 9ish person snarelines are always drowned out the horns
Imagine the loudest high school marching band's brass line, multiply it by 3 or 4 then crank it up a little more
