It was very clear that Sides removed the green light from Clark in the 4th quarter. An exemplary player exposes the weakness in the players around her. Those who were "good enough" before are now exposed as substandard. A great coach is needed to incorporate that talent and bring the substandard players up. The current coach is not capable.

She shoots over 8 3 pointers a game and is making 35% so far. That is her offensive game. They show you the 3 she makes not the 7 she misses and you (not anyone directly) declare her the greatest ever. Her offensive game is extremely limited. So she does what she she should do which is improve her game by choosing better shots and getting her teammates more involved, which is what she is supposed to do as the point guard everyone demanded she be. The team improves as does her numbers, they go on a 4-1 run and her "fans" are mad because she doesn't shoot enough. People are literally mad because she is doing better and playing smarter. They blame jealousy which is stupid and makes no sense on her not just throwing up junk like she is a Harlem Globetrotter. That 17 point 13 assist game makes her a star. Shooting 35% to score 22 a game is going to make her a loser. It almost seems like her fans would prefer that so they can keep gossiping like they are watching a reality show.

I tend to agree, what bothers me is the stupid things. The coach appears have elementary level of the game. First issue she blames the team and and then players and adds her, by we. You know to expect having trouble scoring from same offense plays.,when to rest your players who's not preforming. The math tells you that you need score 90 plus that means two players needs to average over 25 a game and the other players need score close to 50 plus. Are going to be what you count on scoring. Sides is inexperienced or it's a fix for the next draft, or their a coach /player issue or a poison position.

Simple fact is, Clark is too good for this team, and the team just doesn't seem to know what to do with Clark. Lisa Bluder at Iowa knew EXACTLY how to use Caitlin Clark. It was very clear that Sides removed the green light from Clark in the 4th quarter. Toss in the missed layups and dropped passes, and it makes it really hard to watch this selfish team with a terrible coach.

An exemplary player exposes the weakness in the players around her. Those who were "good enough" before are now exposed as substandard. A great coach is needed to incorporate that talent and bring the substandard players up. The current coach is not capable.

I said the same thing to my friends that they need to clean house. They need to build a round Clark and have players that are willing to build around Clark and be there and ready when she passes ball, like when she played at the University of Iowa. They show you the 3 she makes not the 7 she misses and you (not anyone directly) declare her the greatest ever. Her offensive game is extremely limited. So she does what she she should do which is improve her game by choosing better shots and getting her teammates more involved, which is what she is supposed to do as the point guard everyone demanded she be. The team improves as does her numbers, they go on a 4-1 run and her "fans" are mad because she doesn't shoot enough.
People are literally mad because she is doing better and playing smarter. They blame jealousy which is stupid and makes no sense on her not just throwing up junk like she is a Harlem Globetrotter. That 17 point 13 assist game makes her a star. Shooting 35% to score 22 a game is going to make her a loser. It almost seems like her fans would prefer that so they can keep gossiping like they are watching a reality show.

You are saying things that all of the Caitlin Clark fans are thinking… the coach obviously has ties to several players that are just not a good fit for the game that is required to compliment Caitlin’s extraordinary talent. When things are working for 3 quarters then the coach reverses back to what doesn’t work and they lose all the ground that they gained it is absolute insanity . This is just my feeling, but I feel like the coach is trying to save some of her favorite players trying to save their careers. I guess at the cost of Caitlin… if the owner wanted the caliber of player that Caitlin is they should’ve been ready day one to start shifting how the coach and how the team plays and I feel like the Coach is displaying passive, aggressive behavior .like the coach plays a portion of the game the way that the owner or whoever is above her wants to and what they expect and she, she says yes, yes to their face and then sabotage it going back to what she wants to do for the players that she truly wants to promote and support, all the other conflict of interest I’m hoping they have some kind of strategy going into this Olympic break and make some major changes in front of me. I don’t think letting Celeste go was in the line of doing what’s best to build a team. Ultimately, it appears from my limited knowledge that Coach side just wants a balance team where everybody’s making about the same amount of points and attempts and chill. I tend to agree, what bothers me is the stupid things. The coach appears have elementary level of the game. First issue she blames the team and and then players and adds her, by we. You know to expect having trouble scoring from same offense plays.,when to rest your players who's not preforming. The math tells you that you need score 90 plus that means two players needs to average over 25 a game and the other players need score close to 50 plus. Are going to be what you count on scoring. Sides is inexperienced or it's a fix for the next draft, or their a coach /player issue or a poison position.
