For those of you who accused Clark of mishandling the ball, obviously you haven’t played competitive basketball in the past. Otherwise you would have clearly seen that the pass was behind Clark with all her moment moving forward. Get real!
And Wallace did that twice. She screwed up two chances for them to win in the last 12 seconds of the game. And look what she did after that pass to CC. She just stands there out of bounds and does nothing despite CC being covered by 3 defenders. Only Boston came to help her. People need to lay off of Boston. Yes she is in a bad slump but unlike some other players on the team like Wheeler & Wallace. Boston is trying to help CC, not sabotage her.
You get real...Clark has passed the ball behind players and at their ankles all season...hell, she's averaging 6 turnovers a game in the WNBA, which is consistent with what she did at Iowa, where she was a Big Ten turnover leader, averaging 5 TURNOVERS PER GAME FOR FOUR YEARS. If they had data on her 4 years in high school, it would undoubtedly indicate the same...its who she is...amongst all the fancy long shots, she consistently is involved in turnovers.
@@waldolydecker8118 . Hey, get your facts straight! Please read. We are not talking about all year here. Omg We are talking about the conversation surrounding the last few minutes of this game. You can clearly see the pass was thrown behind cc, even if she was able to catch the ball and regain her balance, she would’ve have had players smothering her and she would not have been able to get a shot off.
@@ljsmixbox44 - Clark is suppose to be the the GOAT....GOATs don't need a coach to tell them to go get the inbounds pass with 2 seconds left so Clark can take the final shot since Clark is the team's advertised long ball shooter. Clark would have to be stupid to need a coach to tell her that. Instead of doing what Jordan and all other great guard do, Clark sulked and quit. Not a center's job to go get an inbounds; that's Clark's, but absent Clark, Boston had to do it or the 5 second inbounds clock would have expired.
@waldolydecker8118 This is where you're not making sense in your comment. First of all...Clark is a rookie that's adjusting to playing in the WNBA, night in and night out rather every Saturday like the NCAA does. And a rookie is going to go through a lot of things in their first season as a professional basketball player. Here's the difference. When Jordan came out of college to play for the Bulls.. He had Phil Jackson, who is one of the best NBA head coaches. Jackson had seen how Jordan played at NC. And it wasn't long before Jordan became a captain early in his career. On the other hand... The Indiana Fever head coach failed to see Clark's talent when she was at Iowa. She's smart and aggressive. She knows how to move ball upcourt, and she can find players. Her IQ is high in basketball. Even Kobe had it rough his rookie season with the Lakers, but head coach Pat Riley let Kobe stay in the games so he could groom himself to play in the Lakers system. Kobe also became a captain early in his career. He wasn't the best in his rookie season, but the "Black Mamba" had become one of the best NBA players on the basketball court. He was a thinking man, like Jordan.. So you just can't dwell on the negative in Clark. I don't look at Clark, Kobe, or Jordan as the goat. That just brings up an argument. There are good players, better players, and great players.
@@ljsmixbox44 - Quit lying, clown...when Jordan was drafted by the Bulls he wasn't coached by Phil Jackson....Phil Jackson wasn't the Bulls head coach until Jordan's SIXTH year, so your attempt to make excuses about the Jordan comparison is based on your lies about Phil Jackson, so is a failure. Your "rookie" excuses for Clark are also phony. When Clark was at Iowa, YOU said she was ALREADY the GOAT...the greatest player ever and she was already better than every player in the WNBA. Now that you and the media's lie is being exposed with every Clark game, you are trying to distance yourself from all your early Clark claims. If Clark was already better than every WNBA player like you and the media said she was, then being a rookie is irrelevant. Stop trying to reverse what you had been saying for the past year about Clark. Now that you see Clark getting her azz kicked by multiple players across the WNBA, you full of excuses, lol. You and the media shouldn't have lied in the first place, then Clark wouldn't be failing to measure up to the GOAT label you foolishly placed on her. You got nobody to blame but yourself and the media for lying.
That Coach for the Fever is not Qualfied to Coach she has no clue? The Seattle Team needs to be Fined for not shaking hands with Catlin Clark that was wrong!💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥☝🏾
Temmie should have been in, under the bucket. No one could stop her from getting a high pass and bucket/foul. AB in the game and not Temmie - ridiculous.
From the rulebook: A Reset timeout is a stoppage of play requested by a team that allows it to advance the ball and make substitutions but not huddle. Each team is entitled to one Reset in the final two minutes of the fourth period and one in the final two minutes of any overtime period.
Its a timeout that Indiana called after 5 games when they came to the conclusion that they were duped in the draft and would like a "reset" so they can do it over and get it right.
Yep, but if the alleged "best player" sulks and quits on the play because she's still upset about something that happened earlier, then whatever the coach draws up is irrelevant, because the "best player" refused to execute it. Jordan ALWAYS went and got the ball for the last second shot....no excuse for the "best player" refusing to go get the ball - and don't lie and claim the coach told her not to go get it, lol. She has attitude and she just quit on the play.
That first inbound for Indiana was dumb, get Clark to catch that ball easily. God… Think Boston just did the “do whatever” instead of thinking clearly and trying to pass the ball to Clark immediately.
Meanwhile every time the camera panned to the audience there were hundreds of people in Seattle merch, the largest Seattle crowd came to watch their team win.
It's funny the wnba complaining about Clark yet nobody would watch them if it wasn't for her. The guy says 18k people in attendance in Seattle. He diesnt mention Clark if it wasn't for her there would be 100 people in attendance.
CC looks better on defense, she's moving her feet better. But, whenever she makes critical mistakes on the offensive end her 'supporters' don't like to mention them. But the team as a whole looked much, much better. As you can tell those three point bombs from CC are not there. All the teams the Fever has been playing take away that option.
She has been hitting threes I don’t know what games you’ve been watching but as you saw she got double teamed, which she does a lot in games and on Iowa they actually ran plays for her to get open. They don’t do none of that here. I’m starting to think they might need a new coach. They’ve got two All-Stars on their team now and the supporting cast could be doing better but the coaching just isn’t there in my opinion. Having 2 terrible seasons, and then starting out 0-5 she needs to be replaced/fired. She does not have what it takes obviously. Plus Clark was doing good and she took her out a majority of the last five minutes and then they came back then she wanted to put her back in absolutely terrible coaching.
You have to blame the Indiana coaches for having two inbound opportunities and no one being open. You also have to blame the passer and the guards that were on the floor. This was a team loss, but ultimately the coaching in those inbound past moments sucked.
Wallace is one of Coach Sides pets along with Wheeler, so the coach will continue to give her opportunities to screw over the team despite those horrible inbound passes. It sometimes feels like Wallace & Wheeler are just there to screw over the team & make sure they lose. I have seen both Wallace & Wheeler on the court several times look straight at a wide open CC & throw it to anyone else but her.
@@amyk6319 WNBA analytical data shows Caitlin Clark having the ball in her hands THE THIRD MOST IN THE LEAGUE. Put another way....out of 144 players in the league, Clark is #3 out of 144 in playing time and ball handling. This data proves Clark even has the ball more than players across the league who are better than her. Clearly you want Wallace and Wheeler to make Clark #1 on the list, lol.
@@amyk6319 Right. On the 2nd inbound play, #3 (Wallace) threw it to CC's left as she was moving right, causing her to lose control and not be able to set up for a shot. She lost control which led to Boston's jump-ball and we know how that ended up. At 6:14 (after the 1st failed inbounds) Sides hesitates for SECONDS as she has no idea what to draw up - If I'm the front office, that indecisiveness/deer-in-headlights look concerns the crap out of me!
you got it. the pass was low, late, behind her, and way to hard, to a person on the move. you have to lead that person accordingly. Wallace did not do that. she threw it to where she was instead of where she was going. ask a qb.
Clark dropping the ball and the Fever center tipping it to Seattle player. Mistakes at the end of the game when game is on the line most always ends in a loss. It seems like their leaning to much on KC right out of the gate. The rest of the Fever players need to step up and start shouldering the intensity to win.
You can tell by the announcer that this was Seatle's greatest win ever and the highlight of their season. Beating Caitlin. It is now or never for these teams.
not really, 'cause nobody lied and promised that Wemby was the best player in his league and would dominate the other players and teams like they said about Clark coming to the WNBA. Nope, not the same.
It will still take a few weeks before the rest of Clark's teammates will be about 10% as good as she is. A perfect example of what I mean was that last inbound that was barely inbound but too far away for Clark to make a play on it. Coach Slides is up to nearly 30 losses in a row. Time for a change in management.
I at first thought Clark had mishandled the pass, but when I watched it a second time in slow-motion (& I have watched it many times since), I saw that the pass from Wallace was behind Clark. She didn’t lead Clark to the pass. The TO should have been charged to Wallace and not Clark, just like when Clark was charged with a TO in I think it was their 2nd game when she threw an outlet pass to Temi but it was a little behind her and she could not handle it. It is difficult to be running in one direction and try and reach back in the other to catch a ball.
Can we say that Boston is NOT what this team needs. Clark n Mitchell are mustangs n Boston is a two legged half blind Clydesdale, No rim running, no ability to make anything beyond an inch from the rim, easily blocked, constantly messing up good passes from Clark n others. I keep hearing how good she is I've watched all five games n her shooting percentage is like she's shooting blind or something.
I do think people need to lay off of Boston. Yes she screwed up royally this year & came in out of shape & is going thru a post rookie slump, but she has Caitlin Clark's back. While other players are just standing around watching when CC is getting double & triple teamed, Boston is the one coming over to help her. I have seen how CC & Boston trying to figure it out & work together. Clark & Boston do really like each other & I see them trying to help & support each other on this team in other ways too, so I think people need to have patience with Boston.
It is great to see the attendance of all of these other teams who are willing to come and support their team. I want all of these women to win and to feel their game is worth watching. The Indiana team needs to work on their pass in and working as a team. They will be fine, they just need to play smart and play heads up.
All they needed was 2 pts. Why go to Clark? Go inside and possibly Boston would have gotten fouled. ESPN should be ashamed themselves. This game should have been televised.
Relax all! They are a young team attempting to create cohesiveness and chemistry. Caitlin's stats by the end of the year, by the way moving now towards her traditional triple double legacy, will be better than the players criticizing her from a black / white perspective but she'll win them over.
Many of the home team announcers for the WNBA are more concerned with hyping up the home team than calling the game. You should hear the announcers for the Aces. They barely pay attention to what is happening in the actual game & barely mention any of the actual plays. They just spend most of the game just praising the accomplishments of Aja Wilson & then occasionally they take a break to praise the rest of the Aces team. The Fever has Debbie Antonelli announcing games & she is very good & knows what she is talking about.
@@amyk6319 - Debbie Antonelli is no different than the other home announcers....she is paid by Indiana to praise the home team, so she spends all game praising everything Clark does and making excuses when she and her team screw up. That's how it goes...as a Clark fan you love Antonelli cause she's part of the Indiana overall team. The other announcers across the league rightfully give a different perspective when Clark comes to their building. They rightfully desire their home team to win like Antonelli prefers to see Indiana win.
@@waldolydecker8118 Actually I don't think I listened to the Fever's home commentary yet, so your right I cannot speak to that specifically. But I did hear Antonelli as a guest commentator for the first Aces game & I've seen some interviews she's done. And she is smart & knows the game well enough to give insight into the plays of the game. And I've heard all the commentators praise Clark at times. My issue is when team commentators seem more interested in doing general promo for things the team or specific players are doing outside the games vs providing a play by play of the actual live game you are watching. For ex. I thought the Sparks home commentators did a great job of calling the game & giving detailed play by plays.
It’s funny when it comes to Kaitlyn Clark nobody blames her for anything it’s always the other players. It’s the coach. It’s the referees stadium is too noisy. She’s a good player but she is making mistakes.
This wasn't Clark's fault. A bad inbound pass was made to Catlin Clark to her left. Passer never led her properly but passed behind her to her left while she (Clark) was breaking right. Clark had to stop and lunge back to her left for the ball.
Not when 4 of the losses are against teams that made it to the finals and semi finals last year. Rebecca Lobo said that we should expect the fever to lose their first 4 or even five games due to their schedule being so challenging.
Indiana needs a new head coach. To not get a shot off with TWO inbounds passes is her fault. Instead she spent the timeouts looking at her clipboard. You either know what to do in crunch time or you don't. She didn't.
They just threw her the pass the same way she frequently throws them the pass. Clark: Avg 6 turnovers per WNBA game. At Iowa: Clark averaged 5 turnover per game for 4 consecutive seasons. They gave Clark some of her own medicine.
As big as she is, she taps the ball to the hands of the opponent. She did not look at the positioning of her teammates. If she taps if going backward, they have 60% chance of getting the ball and quick long shot. Sorry CC22 the ball slipped into your fingers. It was a good play. If you controlled the ball well, at east you have split of second to execute a jump shot.
I guess if people are going to keep responding....... while the broadcast team says "great defense".. nobody was within 10 feet of her...and farther if she doesn't have stop for the pass.. Inertia and speed... she's not playing first base.
You've got it azz backwards, Scoobie.....Clark was suppose to be THE HELP. The GOAT...like Jordan going to the last place Bulls and immediately taking them to the playoffs as a rookie....or Larry Bird going to the last place Celtics and immediately taking them to the playoffs WITH THE BEST RECORD IN THE LEAGUE his rookie year. They did it with the same losing players from the previous year. How come Clark has no impact on her team winning like Jordan and Bird did? Jordan and Bird didn't blame their losing teammates or make excuses...they got the job done and took their teams to the playoffs. Too many excuses for Clark, when Clark is suppose to be the greatest player of all time, as you and her other fans repeatedly declared.
Yoooooo that might have been the worse pass in the history of passes 🤯🤯🤦🏾 she’s supposed to throw the ball where she’s going to be not where she’s at. CC created space with the defender, now let her run into the ball catch and shoot.‘she’s making that all day. CC momentum is taking her towards the corner three line, the other girl throws the ball where she was not where she will be, basic basketball IQ 🤦🏾
That was NOT a good inbound pass to Clark. The pass is suppose to go where Clark is going so she has the bst chance to get the shot off. That pass was behind her. The flipside is, Clark had both hands on the ball. We say this about football players all the time, if it hits your hands, it's a catch. Looks like Clark was trying for a catch a shoot.
You are a liar..Jordan as a rookie took his losing team immediately to the playoffs and every year thereafter...Pippen didn't get there until at least 4 years later....meanwhile Jordan took his team to the playoffs every year and went into the Boston Garden in his 2nd year and dropped 63 points on the top ranked Celtics BEFORE Pippen joined the team.
That was 11 seconds of absolutely horrendous basketball! The teams couldn't even inbounds the ball and then that jump ball towards the end, holy smokes, that was terrible!
This is last year's last place team and they've practiced and/or played together only a handful of days. Give them time, and Grace (as CC requested) to get to know each other. They'll kick the pace up, learn each other's habits and hot spots. Stay on the couch and let them - and the WNBA - grow.

@@harleydude-xo8pu oh Lord. Are you people blind. Go look o had to
Clark actually WALKED prior to the foul. They just did not call it on her.
I saw no walk ... Clark just stopped on a dime and dove to her left in an attempt to catch a bad pass.
When you throw high difficulty dimes you're gonna have some TO's. Check her assist toturnover ratio @ Iowa. She was a triple double machine.
Bad pass to Clark's left side when she was moving to the right.
8:49 Fever don't have game plan for last seconds play.
It's the coach's job to have one.
@waldolydecker8118
This is where you're not making sense in your comment.

Temmie should have been in, under the bucket. No one could stop her from getting a high pass and bucket/foul. AB in the game and not Temmie - ridiculous.
She had fouled out.
WTF is a reset Time out
No idea ..Lol
From the rulebook:
A Reset timeout is a stoppage of play requested by a team that allows it to advance the ball and make substitutions but not huddle. Each team is entitled to one Reset in the final two minutes of the fourth period and one in the final two minutes of any overtime period.
Basically, in the final two minutes each team can choose to advance the ball without burning a timeout. No huddle, but can substitute
Its a timeout that Indiana called after 5 games when they came to the conclusion that they were duped in the draft and would like a "reset" so they can do it over and get it right.
As a former coach I know that you should have a play to get the ball in the hands of your best player! That’s the only reasonable chance of success….

It's funny the wnba complaining about Clark yet nobody would watch them if it wasn't for her. The guy says 18k people in attendance in Seattle. He diesnt mention Clark if it wasn't for her there would be 100 people in attendance.
Good game by the Fever and glad they finally got a win vs the Sparks today. Caitlin played awesome ..almost triple double.
Yeah but the other team rather take a foul then to let cc get a three.
People keep thinking Caitlin was going to dominate the WNBA… MEANWHILE

You have to blame the Indiana coaches for having two inbound opportunities and no one being open. You also have to blame the passer and the guards that were on the floor. This was a team loss, but ultimately the coaching in those inbound past moments sucked.
You save timeouts for plays just like this.
@@amyk6319 Right. On the 2nd inbound play, #3 (Wallace) threw it to CC's left as she was moving right, causing her to lose control and not be able to set up for a shot. She lost control which led to Boston's jump-ball and we know how that ended up.

Yea, let's see CC's 2" vertical.
combination of bad pass and CC taking eyes of the ball maybe?
Clark dropping the ball and the Fever center tipping it to Seattle player. Mistakes at the end of the game when game is on the line most always ends in a loss.
It seems like their leaning to much on KC right out of the gate. The rest of the Fever players need to step up and start shouldering the intensity to win.
You can tell by the announcer that this was Seatle's greatest win ever and the highlight of their season. Beating Caitlin. It is now or never for these teams.
It's like Wemby in the Spurs except Spurs actually won some games... Hehehe
It's not like wemby quit trying to compare them to NBA players Soo dumb
not really, 'cause nobody lied and promised that Wemby was the best player in his league and would dominate the other players and teams like they said about Clark coming to the WNBA. Nope, not the same.
Clark WAS CLEAR and that inbound pass was way behind her. Get real.
Went right in her hands
Should have been a bounce pass...
It went right in her hands stop lying to defend her
Can we say that Boston is NOT what this team needs.
I agree she didn’t touch a basketball 🏀 in the offseason she’s slow
WNBA…nuff said
I do think people need to lay off of Boston.
Great game by both teams.
All they needed was 2 pts. Why go to Clark? Go inside and possibly Boston would have gotten fouled. ESPN should be ashamed themselves. This game should have been televised.
Caitlin Clark will soon figure it out...
Relax all! They are a young team attempting to create cohesiveness and chemistry. Caitlin's stats by the end of the year, by the way moving now towards her traditional triple double legacy, will be better than the players criticizing her from a black / white perspective but she'll win them over.
The Seattle Storm’s Play-by-Play announcer is over the top in his calling a game.
Omg, right??? It was truly so annoying!
He's the Seattle Storms announcer so he's gonna be hyped when the home team makes a big play to win the game!😂 Take your L back to Indy!

Clark needs better teammates and a coach. Jordan didn’t become great until Pippen arrived.
Stay on the couch and let them - and the WNBA - grow.
that tells me you havent looked up their record, nor watched their games.. last year they won 13games.. 2020-2022 they won a total of 17games in 3 years.. there are 13players on the team 5 of them were there 3years or more..they wont make the playoffs again and after next year i dont see aliyah wanting to stay and get hate every time caitlin fails.. i also see caitlin leaving in 3years to goto ny,la or chicago the big market teams
