Obviously not alone, but it was her star status that got Ronald Reagan to officially talk about aids when no one else could. Of course it was only one time in his whole presidency and what he said was horrible but at least it passed his lips once in a public speech. This woman was/is a Saint in my opinion.

That was one of the best speeches I have ever heard in my life from anybody. Honest, logic, strong.
