The recoil isn't bad at all. I still need to shoot the rifle without the muzzle brake to find out how it compares but I can tell you that this is the lightest kicking big game rifle I've owed (.270 win, 30-06, 300 wsm).
Nice, I'm sure you'll love the gun! I uploaded a video before this one where I shot both the Hornaday EXLD-X and CX bullets. The EXLD-X is it's preferred medicine. Give that video a watch, it's call 7mm PRC vs 300 WSM I think.
@mike.hardy37 thanks a lot I just watched the video are u going to try the 170 terminal ascent for the 7prc when they come out? What I was thinking about trying the eldx shoots really well but have heard bad things about them on game
Yeah the Terminal Accent is my favorite bullet so I'll give that a try when it comes available. I have no experience with the eldx on game yet but I have also heard mixed reviews about it on elk. I think I want something with better penetration.
Nice, I have the Vortex Viper pst gen 2 3-15x44. I like it. I wish the windage turret was smaller and I don't care for the Christmas tree reticle but love everything else about it.
I love the gun! If you haven't watch my 300 wsm vs 7 prc video give that a watch. It's super accurate and the 7 prc doesn't have much recoil. One thing I'd add is to replace the spring in the trigger with a MCARBO spring to lighten the teigger pull. www.mcarbo.com/browning-x-bolt-trigger-spring-kit.aspx
@@mike.hardy37 would you suggest a specific length of barrel ? I know I wanted the cheek riser , and the speed variation being less weight but wasn’t sure on barrel length
It's all user preference, I went with the 24" barrel because I wanted something lighter but the Long Range version with the longer barrel will give you a little more muzzle velocity. As far a adjustable cheek pad I've never had a use for them because I just find the right scope rings to match my perferred scope hight. FYI Brownings medium scope rings fit my scope height the best.
Pappa Smurf thanks you.
Hows the recoil with that recoil hawg muzzlebreak on that 7prc?

I have an xbolt in 7prc and even with just the radial break it feels just like my 6.5c ruger american with no break. Honestly very gentle.
@DanielMartinez0394 ok thanks I have the xbolt 6.5prc with the standard radial brake and was wondering. Thanks for the info
Just bought this exact gun and caliber but haven't shot it waiting on a z6 swarovski pricy so be a bit keep us updated and what ammo it likes best

How do you like this gun ? I’m looking at this exact gun , cal and style being the lighter stick and a 7 prc . Any info you can give ?
