OH! MY! GOODNESS! This has to be the best video I have ever seen on Majestic Elegance to date. All the info that I have been searching for, for years is here in your video and I have just watched up to the halfway point. Your capture is awesome. Hey James! I’m about to go there for my friend’s wedding. I haven’t been in an all-inclusive since 2003. Been a LONG time haha. If you want to learn french, you should definitely do an immersion in Québec. Especially mostly francophone areas. Thanks for the video!

Going back here for our 6th time in January of 2023. Our first time was in 2015 and I am hooked. The staff alone makes this resort amazing. We stay in the Elle building. That was the first club pool that you were at in this video. We like that building and pool because it is quite compared to the other one at the Ella building.
So is this the property you like the best .. we were going to Cancun but they banned Tabacco so they are losing out on our family vacation of $10,000 punta Cana we want to like 12 years a ago I don’t like the 20 years all over crowding the resort is this like that

Howdy James.. Greetings from Toronto, Ontario.. I am so Happy you posted this video. This Resort I have been looking at for a while. I am SERIOULSY considering it for later this Year. And you pointed out many items that were not mentioned in their Website. May I ask you if the Elegance Club #3 is IT Adults Only ? I prefer the Adults section as I am considering a Swim Up Room. I absolutely love this resort. Last time we were there was 5 years ago for 8 days. We got there the first week of May. I can tell you if you want a bunch of 20 something's just about puke drunk screaming and yelling, go to the adults only areas. It's like an episode of Jersey Shore, but the music is high energy and it can be fun for a little bit. The lobby bar was an older crowd, but packed all the time. The piano bar was usually pretty slow and much quieter. You get a better experience unless you're young and going to party. My last time there I was in my early 30s and past the point in life where I wanna be blind drunk and obnoxious for days on end lol. Perhaps we were lucky or perhaps it's just because the pool is so big, but the main family pool was by far more quiet and had less people, there may have been 30 people in it total and they were very spaced out. This is also the pool they do the foam parties in, which gets crowded but it's a lot of fun. The beach is great and they get the seaweed under control but it takes them longer than you'd expect. Some reserts do it super early, this one waits until later in the morning and they don't clear it daily. The beach is a bit steep but it's nothing crazy, definitely get there early if you plan to set up camp at a lounge chair. Then you can grab ones on the end and scoot them a little away from others. We did not book the Club this time as it wasn't available, so I'm hoping for an upgrade when we arrive in a few weeks. Overall, this was an awesome video and did this beautiful resort justice! Great job. You just increased my excitement level to go back!
Stayed at this hotel last year and we loved it, especially the pool area! Didn't hang out at the beach too much because there was too much seaweed during that time(June). Glad to see it's cleaner now. Highly recommend this property.

I’m having my wedding here October 2024, I’ve never been and I’m so excited. I’ve only really traveled to Mexico every year, but after the smoking ban I had no choice but to book in the Dominican, and I’m so happy I did!

I agree about the beach. We stayed at Majestic Colonial several times before Hard Rock was built and used to walk down there. You would see locals. We were kinda pissed when they built HR as it felt like our secret spot was ruined. The surf is better there too, feels like a wave pool some days. The beach at Majestic properties unfortunately is at a tip of land before a curve and as a result is narrow and steep. Beautiful properties, MC at the time was a top property in PC. ME opened the last time we were there. It’s been awhile since we’ve been to PC. Great to see your videos, making me nostalgic.

Yo yo James! We were about to pull the trigger on Punta Cana but instead next week are heading back to Vegas, this time at Venetian. Any pro tips? I’ve never stayed there before. It was a toss up between Venetian and Aria but Venetian won this time around.

We have reservations in April for ourselves and our two eighteen year olds at the Majestic Mirage Club Level. You made mention in this video that they are 21 yr old plus++.
When making my reservations that was not indicated, do I need to research this more, will my 18 yr old have a problems accessing certain club areas?
Nick~ That was most likely a malaprop on my behalf. My default mentality when conceptualizing "adults only" establishments is 21+ as that is what most are in America (too much time in Vegas and Miami).
I need to remind myself that other countries have lower minimum ages for drinking, and thus different and probably lesser standards for entering adult only venues. Though I can't say for sure because I don't know, I would reckon your 18 year old would be ok.
@@Coolist very true...in Cuba many "adults only" are 16+. In DR it is 18+ almost everywhere. For the Majestic brand it is 18+
I got back from Majestic Elegance a week ago and can confirm the “adult only” areas are 18+. Cannot be sure what Mirage is like but I would be surprised if it is different to the Elegance in this respect.

Just got back from there a week ago. Agree with everything that you said about the resort except found the food to be very substandard.
Can you tell me if this resort has salt water pools. I've seen in reviews/google search that it does, but not enough to be sure. Also, would you still recommend if you couldn't get the Elegance club (we are travelling with a 14yr old). Thank you!

Hey dude - I’m going with my wife and 9yr old daughter in March. Leaning Elegance over Colonial. Are there kids for her to play with? I don’t want to go to the older Colonial just for that reason especially since Elegance pool seems way better. Is Colonials pool as good? Cheers!

So, I just booked 2 rooms for the end of March for my wife, my son that is 18, and my daughter that is 16. I booked the Elegance Club upgrade, but am now seeing it says 18+. It did not ask for our ages on the site that I booked it. I am wondering if upon check-in if they will check all of our ages since we booked the Elegance Club or if since one room is in my name and the other in my wife's if they won't check our kids ID. Anyone have any thoughts about this?
Hey Coolist, been watching and liking a bunch of your videos. Thinking about heading to Majestic Elegance Punta Cana with the family...however, it seems a lot of this hotel is 21+ and allotted to the Elegance club...I'm not going to leave my 11/9 yr old's alone much except maybe a dinner or two, So in your opinion - Is it worth it to stay here and not get the Elegance club? Seems we would be missing out on a lot of the property. thanks for the content!
I’m in the same boat. Bringing my 9yr old and really like Elegance over older Colonial and it’d be nice to know if there’ll be still a healthy amount of kids here. Keep me posted if you have any insight on this. Lovin this resort though.

How was the food everywhere else?
@@humanfairy One word: Excellent. Steakhouse, Italian, French as well as Japanese hibachi grill did not disappoint - all very good. The seafood restaurant was not at the same level but it was ok. The late night "street food" was also something that hit the spot if you want some tasty chicken wings or even a burger a decadent brownie dessert. I went in Feb 22 and going back in Dec 22. First time in seven trips to the DR I am going back to the same resort.

@@humanfairy Well I learned about it from James - his videos are spectacular. Because of him Excellence Punta Cana is on my list given he rated it the best. Let me know how it goes. If you booked Elegance Club look for Modesto - he is a spectacular butler. If you are younger and you want party vibe - RIU Republica is a great option as well. You sacrifice food in favor of fun but its really lots of fun
@@markrussell3428 I'll be at Excellence Punta Cana the first half - I am very excited about that. I did book the Elegance Club! My boyfriend is turning 40 so I want to surprise him. I am 28 and I think RIU would be fun but I am starting to think the Majestic Elegance will give us what we need. We usually go to Jamaica and we loveeeeee it. It is honestly my fav island but I haven't been anywhere else. We usually don't really party but we do drink! I am disappointed that we have a regular jacuzzi room but I actually just got off the phone with Majestic Elegance to see if they has room options I couldn't see online and she told me to call back a week or two before we arrive incase they have cancellations. I forgot to ask her about airport drop off. Did you have to pay for it or do they offer it?

For best resort in Punta Cana, it will always go to Secrets Cap Cana (only if your vacation is as single/with friends/with spouse). Not for families

The pools are heated. Service at the beach is poor. Main bar doesn’t open until 10am and the waiter or which there’s one comes around once in a blue e moon
Is this a family resort?
I’m in a Facebook group for the resort, and everyone is saying that there are no lines for the buffets - so they’ve likely improved.
Would you ever consider a swim up suite?
I’m here now and you need a swim up room. That said I think the resort is nowhere near 5 stars! We’re struggling to get towels and toilet paper.. the rooms like nice but if you look up close they have painted over the marble everywhere, patched holes, sockets falling out etc.. all the outside beds are mouldy as they’re left out in the rain and never cleaned or changed and the pool is missing half its times
