Weaponized Thiccness yeah, people do that. Our food usually have too much salt for example, or condiments, or sugar. Is it a small house dog? At least try to convince her to clean its teeth if she is gonna give it human food, bacterial plaque is built from our food and the sugars and teeth start falling out earlier if they are not cleaned regularly. Pet toothbrushes are sold at stores, those bones for dogs you buy at pet stores help too a little, and if they are already very dirty profilaxis are done by vets. ;)

Teacher here. I think the global lockdown has finally made many parents realize how bloody difficult our job is... and they've only got a couple of kids to deal with.... and the kids are theirs! Imagine having a whole classroom load of kids. Good luck...
Side note: In my school, we don't get paid for holidays. Our pay during term time is spread out evenly over the calendar year, so we get a monthly salary when we're not working. Easier to budget monthly bills. Had an argument with an acquaintance, who said I get 13 weeks holiday pay, and wouldn't believe my explanation of my pay. In the end, I had enough and said, 'Let's just assume I know how I'm paid!' and walked away.

About Vets, Several months ago, I had to bring my not quite two-year-old kitten to the vet because she was constantly hacking like she had hairballs. Everyone kept telling me to get this stuff or that stuff for her hairballs, but nothing seemed to be helping, she never brought anything up and the episodes were many.
Later I came across something online that was titled "Hairball or asthma" or something like that, and I thought, cats get asthma?? Several people said the same thing "I never heard of a cat getting asthma", even though the article said it was a common thing. I myself had to agree with the part about never hearing about a cat with asthma, but my poor girl was suffering. So a consult and an X-ray later confirmed it. It was indeed asthma. Now she has medicine and a rescue inhaler and she is doing much better. Always listen to the professionals.
If I hadn't brought her in, I honestly believe I would have come home one day to a terrible sight.

    Your Daily Joke:
One day, a factory worker calls his boss and says:
    - Sorry boss, but there’s no way I can come in today. Every part of my body is sore. My legs, my arms, my back.
    The man’s employer says:
    - You know what I do when I’m sore? I tell my wife and then she takes me into the bedroom to give me a treat. She rubs me down and I’m good as new. Try it and then tell me if you’re not good to go.
Two hours later, the man comes strolling into the factory whistling a song.
The boss catches him and smiles:
    - So you took my advice?
The man pats him on the back and says:
    - Sure did. By the way, boss, you have a beautiful home.

So yeah, sweatshops aren’t just some exaggeration, people really DO sit hunched over a desk cranking out things day in and day out in awful conditions so you can buy that hat for $13 and that dress for $30.

We also can’t give you the bill from your stay because the price difference between what the guest pays Expedia and what Expedia pays us is about $20. For example, if you pay $100 for a room on Expedia, then Expedia is only paying us $80 and gets a $20 commission.

Also the belief of "Mac doesnt get viruses", well that was true when Macs were new and since it was a different operating system, it was very new and different from a PC, however time is an ingredient that is painful, Macs never got the development sight that "assholes will attempt to attack our system eh who cares", so due to time and no real antivirus software development by the developers, Mac is a dangerous product to use.

@@josi4251 i wasn't disrespecting my teachers. I only disrespect people who have the wrong morals. Yeah we have GED here. And I can't do things like that because I don't know where I am academically. It's not like its going to matter. Us natives have no human rights so it's not like I'm gonna be able to join the army considering I'm severely disabled and was just put on disability income for my ptsd and anxiety. I see no point in doing anything. Honestly, I can't even stand Being alive. And the cut off age in my territory is 21. But I look like a minor still, and I refuse to keep going back and forth to the pig station just so I can get told I can't go to school, it's bad enough, I have a rep for making teachers lose their jobs because of their way of treating us (which is a form of child abuse). I'm not stupid, I'm far from. Telling me I'm not gonna get far by being correct isn't gonna help anyone. Besides I already know I'm useless. I had plans to kill myself when my son was born in July, but apparently I can't even grow babies properly. I lost him 2 weeks ago. And with this whole pandemic shit ruined not only my mental health, but my ability to recover. But I don't want to get "help" honestly, it's a waste of money that people are manipulated into thinking life gets better when in reality, they're being forced to care about how others feel and forget how they feel, because fuck the person in real pain right? No one really cares about us, especially us natives. I can't even afford the medication that actually helps my ptsd because it's not covered by treaty.
I don't really see a reason to even go back to school when you guys only care about the money. It's about grades not education anymore. And where I'm going, I can't go to the other schools because I'd rather kill myself than let losers kill me. Like I said, the other schools have bad blood with the school I went to and the school got demolished last year because it lacked funding. No one gave a shit about us. The councellors were bullies, the teachers were rude and entitled, and the students could care less about their education Because no one even bat an eye at them when they asked for help. I couldn't even be quiet without being sent to detention, why? Because if I have nothing to say, I say nothing, therefore if I'm called apon, and I don't know the answer because it's rigged, I get in trouble for it. Don't defend your little education system when youre the reason why so many kids hate themselves. Don't give me your little delusions, trust me, I've been dealing with you for 21 years. Id rather be dead than be told to fuck off and do it myself when I ask for help. Stop telling your kids to ask for help and not help them. I don't even know why schools are still open considering all they do is force their students to redo shit to get it right instead of actually learning something. This is why kids are so retarded these days. I'm done with you, you're why I'm going to be dead tonight. Telling me I'm not gonna get anywhere. You're a teacher act like you care. Telling anyone who could even be your student there retarded even if it's not said in full is wrong. Just like you and your education system. I'm so glad schools are cancelled, I don't need my niece being told that shit, she's already suicidal at 6 Because no one wants to help her. But what ever, you're just going to go against what I say because I'm just a stupid kid right? It's not like I had to learn my skills outside of school. GEs can actually pull, have good tractive effort, and actually are reliable road power. Load time doesn’t matter especially when you’re just going for 200 miles, get those smaller EMDs off my rails.

Not a physicist, but whenever I've heard of someone being able to solve a decades old problem within a theory, they often try explaining why the theory doesn't work at all, and it needs to be discarded for something that's been untested and makes no predictions. Basically they treat scientific theories as a closed loop where it only contains a single set of explanations or a single formula, and ignore that the power and reliability of a theory lies in it's testable predictions. It's somewhat incoherent like proving the earth is flat because the carpenters level places on the sidewalk says it is.
Another problem I've seen that is closer to the example in the video, is that these highly educated and definitely smart ppl capable of performing very advanced maths, apply them incorrectly. The math is correct, but they fail to show how an alternative perspective on plasma dynamics is superior to the theory of gravity. It's like they get caught up in rhwir own perceived brilliance and can't see anything outside of that bubble of ego they've created. Yes I've spoken with these ppl and they are wild.

You actually do write differently when you type versus when you write with hand. Typing is almost entirely muscle memory and reduces the time to bring up memories and sensations. Writing by hand studies have shown that you're more likely to associate sensations and memories which influence your writing. Similar to how your personality of how you speak changes as you switch languages.

The one about Macs not getting viruses: FML! While it is true that there are not as "many" virus for Macs, this is a function of there not being a many Mac out there rather than some inherent security feature. I work in Film/Media where it's 90% Macs. The "real" world is about 20% Macs, 75% Windows and 5% Linux variants. It's why I designed my work LAN the way I did - to protect the Mac users from each other. Had one of the "clients" have a ransomware attack. They were screwed. Rest of the network was saved but would have also been infected had I not protected them from themselves.

The 25:25 hurt me cause personally a vet kinda scam my dog's parents (have puppies).
The vet predict 7 got 6 cause one of them die during the operation (basically what she said to my parent), vet said our dog will give birth between 1-3 days, wait 3 days and nothing happens, every one get scare and go back to the vet, apparently our dog can't "push out" puppies cause her but part is "to small" so will used cesarian.
Parents paid something like 1.5K € for the extra surgery to save our dog live.
Told later by another vet that the original vet should have know in the beginning of our dog pregnancy if her "butt part"(forget the word in English) is enough to give birth without complications and the extra surgery shouldn't cost 1.5K € + the 7th puppie death shouldn't happen if the original vet do her job correctly.
    Extra info:
    - first vet is a woman and have something like 25-27 years old and is the closest vet in the area + have good reputation.
My parents live in and "street" relatively rich for the town (westerne Europe).
    - second vet is a man and have something like 27-30 years old.
Kinda far away from my parents area (in western Europe POV, think for other nation the distance is pretty laughable).
Was recommended by relatives of relatives.
Price way lower that the first vet for the same thing.
Asked my parents if they can and want to pursue the first vet but they explain to me that the vet won't probably lose her license + will cost us more money for what we can win.
So never go to the first vet and the second get new customer.
And our mother dog is still alive but is crippled for the rest of her life (exhausted pretty quickly, won't run to fast or she start to scream from pain, sometimes she scream a little bit when she have to stand up, scream if she move her back legs "to fast", jumping 10 cm will make her cry, pass most of her day crouch cause exhausted if she sit to long).

I've worked in aged care, I nursed my mother through dementia for almost 10 years, yet each time we needed to take Mum to hospital for whatever reason, it inevitably resulted in having prolonged arguments with nurses/doctors about:
    * She had dementia, therefore her memory was NOT reliable. This caused arguments each & every time she was admitted. Turns out there was & still is very little training given to regular hospital staff on this important issue.
*When anyone with dementia says/believes something that's incorrect/untrue/obviously imagined, DO NOT ARGUE WITH THEM. There are numerous ways to gently & calmly soothe their concerns & keep them at ease.
    * The POA & Health Directive held by my sister meant that she did, by law, have the right to make any & all decisions on our Mum's behalf. BY LAW.
    * When Mum complained about certain pains & showed particular symptoms, it meant that the monstrous kidney stones she was prone to forming were recurring. It did not mean she needed to be pumped full of laxatives for non-existent constipation. On one occasion, her right kidney was literally being punctured by a spike protruding from a stone that was so large, the entire kidney had been occluded & was dying. That episode took the two of us essentially going into full "Karen" mode just to get the hospital to do a CT scan. Mum was flown to a larger hospital that night & operated on first thing the next morning.
I could go on, but I'm the end we were incredibly fortunate to find a nursing home that employed staff who knew what they were doing and, initially at least, a management team who supported their staff.
