Not me, but my mother. She was a cook in a Rest Home, and had to go to work before dawn, to get things ready to feed the residents. It was rather foggy that morning, and the road was winding, As she approached one curve, she got the strongest feeling that she needed to slow down. As she went around the blind curve, she saw a group of young men and women (She thought they might be hippies, because that was how they were dressed), plus a dog, walking in the middle of the road, they did move out of her way, and she safely passed them. If she hadn't slowed down, she could have gone around the curve and right into the middle of that group. She said it must have been her Guardian Angel that protected those people.

I know that weather condition for dense fog and high winds, it only happens middle of summer after the ice melts from the ocean, but when it happens, 50 to 60 km winds, and the fog gets so dense, can barely see 2 arms length. Scary driving

    • @jacklow9611
      @jacklow9611 ปีที่แล้ว

@@hurricanechaosemerald: There was nearly no wind, and it was in the early winter, in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, where pea soup fogs are fairly common at any time of the year.
And yes, it is scary driving, especially if the bottom of the fog cloud is at your eye level while sitting in the car, which has happened to me several times in South Dakota and Eastern Colorado.

I was designated driver for a bachelor party, in a city I was unfamiliar with, got detoured and pulled into a gas station to ask for directions back to the highway my hotel was on.
It was nearly 3am as I stop and step out of the van, three police cars come screaming into the parking lot with sirens screaming, two cops jump out of the nearest car, guns drawn on me and ordered me to the ground.
I was literally crying as the cop gave me directions back to the hotel. The gas station has just been robbed at gunpoint.

I was in 11th grade and my boyfriend, my first, asked me to go swimming at a nearby lake but my parents refused to let me go and I was so mad. Later I found out that his friends had planned a “rape” party with me as the main attraction. I was a virgin and very naive and I dumped that guy right there.

When I was 2 my parents were watching me play in the yard under a tree. My parents decided I’d had enough outside time and took me back inside. We had been inside all of about a minute or two and my parents hear a loud crash from outside and upon investigation discovered that a large branch from the tree I was playing under had fallen down. Had I still been playing under that tree, I wouldn’t be writing this comment

Me, my dad and my best friend at the time were on holiday in Czech Republic at a place with tents and there were a bunch of trees near them. One day we were going to Prague and there was this huge storm. After taking cover until the storm ended we came back and there was a bunch of police / fireman there and it was difficult to get in. When we got to our tents almost all the trees fell. Most were on the tents. Our tent was the only one left standing. My dad asked what could have happened if we were at the place those trees fell, but the police / fireman person said he shouldn't wonder about what if's. This happened around 10 years ago
    We left early that holiday.

I don't know why but most pressure cookers I've seen literally do not have any pressure gauges only safety valves. It really freaks me out seeing that, having no way checking the pressure. It's like playing Russian roulette with them.

I don’t even know what a duck boat tour is. Is it a boat tour that focuses on ducks? Is it a tour of a lake on a boat shaped like a giant duck? Is it a tour of the boat shaped like a duck itself? Or is it a tour on a bunch of small paddle-boats shaped like ducks instead of swans?

We ran back to his house and 2 days later it was in the news that it was a drug deal and one of the guys pulled a knife on one of the cops. Scared the living shit out of me.

I ride horses and once I was on one who had a lot more energy than he normally did. I rounded a corner of the arena and then asked him to canter, and he gave a huge buck and wound up throwing me. Luckily I was okay but if I had asked for the canter half a second earlier he would’ve thrown me into the wall and I’d have gotten seriously hurt.

Craziest/scariest close call for me was one day I and a co-worker were running late for work both in different cars. We both came upon a scene of a car crash right about the time the cops did. A pickup truck hit a car head on from across two lanes. Both drivers died at the scene. If either my co-worker or I had been on time that could've been one or both of us... that scene still haunts me when I think of it.

I spent some of my early childhood in northern California, in the San Francisco Bay Area, while my mom worked at the local VA hospital. In 1989 we moved back home to south Texas because she was needed more back at her original VA hospital. This was just a couple of months before the big Loma Prieta earthquake hit and could have negatively impacted some of the places we went at the time we lived there (though we lived in the southern part of the Bay Area and it was the East Bay that experienced the brunt of the disaster).

Once in fifth grade, I was on the bus. After an hour ride, it was time to get off, however I had taken off my shoes while on the bus ride and had to tie them before getting off. Near the entrance of the school, some ceiling tiles had crashed down where I would have been if I hadn't had to put my shoes back on. None died, but some kids got injured.

I was visiting a hippy commune in the early '70s, and got permission to sleep in the loft of the main building, though not everyone knew this. I was almost asleep in this now empty building, when a guy and a girl came in, and directly under me began a very serious conversation. The woman was three months pregnant, and the guy had finally gathered the courage to ask her to get an abortion, because he wasn't ready to be a father. By the time the situation had become clear, I realized that it was too late to make my presence known. So I had to sit through about an hour and a half of the most unpleasant, grueling conversation that could be imagined. Years later, I heard about the aftermath. The woman had the baby, and a couple of years later died of cancer, still in her mid-twenties. The guy ended up being an excellent father to their child.

I used to commute to a different town, about 45 minutes from my home, I left my house at the same time every morning and passed a dangerous curve at the same time every day. I tried to leave for work one day, but my truck wouldn’t start. I called the boss and let him know. About 30 minutes later I decided to try to get it started again. It started up like nothing had happened at all. I was irritated, but went on to work. As I passed the dangerous corner there were police cars, tow trucks, fire truck and an ambulance just leaving. I pulled into to convenience store and got a coffee as I had to wait to get past anyway. I asked the girls there if they had seen what happened and was told one driver went to sleep apparently and they said it had happened about 30 minutes before. If I had left on time, I’d have been right in the middle of a wreck that killed 3 people. This happened again a few months later, truck wouldn’t start, half hour later it was fine, there was a wreck that I would have been in if it had started on time. After that, if my truck, which always started just fine, wouldn’t start in the morning, I’d go in the house, call the boss to say I’d be late, have a cup of coffee, and wait 30 minutes and the truck would start fine , and I’d go to work, and there would be a wreck that I had thankfully missed due to my guardian angel not letting my truck start.

My best friends dad had a little man cave in the garage. He generally spent most of his free time there gaming, smoking, etc. One day he came inside to take a nap. A few minutes later a busted through their garage. The brakes had failed and the SUV had busted through a brick wall before hitting their home so it definitely would have killed him.

I was taking my friend home from work after we finished the closing shift. He lives a little ways from the store, so we have to drive on the highway for a couple minutes to get to his house. I like to drive in the right lane since I'm using sticking to the limit, and anyone that wants to go faster has the center and left lanes to go around. But I also like to be in the center since it's late at night, dark, and I feel most comfortable with the most amount of road on both sides of me. Anyway, I'm in the right lane this time, but I thought about moving to the middle, since there seemed to be hardly anybody on the road aside from a couple people who were also on the right. I decided to stay where I was, and just then, this car comes absolutely FLYING through the middle. Had to be doing at least 90 in a 65. And then I see some red and blue lights turn on somewhere a couple cars behind me. Eventually my friend and I see the guy pulled over, but if I had changed lanes, I might've gotten hit.

In Minnesota, my brother drove over the interstate 35 bridge 10 minutes before it collapsed into the Mississippi River. He lives there and drove over that bridge every day on his way to work.
I had a high school teacher who, with her husband, took a road trip from New York to California. Once there, they drove around to see the sights. They were driving up a steep hill when out of nowhere, my teacher screamed for her husband to pull over. It was so sudden for her that it scared her like someone in the back seat had screamed. She didn't even know why she screamed. As they were sitting on the shoulder of the road waiting for her to calm down, two cars, drag racing, came over the top of the hill, Dukes of Hazzaed style. If she hadn't have screamed, one of those cars would have landed square on top of their car.

I had a brush with death in High School. I was fifteen, walking home from school with my headphones on and noise canceling turned on. Crossed a usually very quiet street in the neighborhood and casually looked up just in time to see a car flying down the hill like it was a racetrack. I leaped out of the way and the car passed me with about a foot to spare. Jackass was going probably 40 in a 25. I just stood in the middle of the street for a moment stunned before turning my music down and continuing toward the sidewalk. Never spoke of it to my parents and always look both ways now. And if I’m walking anywhere I use earbuds, not headphones.

My mom worked at a grocerystore about 7 or 8 years ago and arranged some fruits and vegetables infront of the store. Not even 30 seconds after she went back into the store an old lady (about 85 yo) lost the control over her car and drove right infront of the store at the exact spot where my mom stand only seconds before. Sadly she overrun a young teacher on the sidewalk which died at the scene of the accident.

When I was 10 or 11, my mom and my siblings were heading to Phoenix to visit some family. We were passing through a small town when a white car passes us. We eventually caught up to the white car at the town's only stoplight. We were driving down the Mogollon Rim when all of a sudden me and my brother needed to go the bathroom so my mom pulled over at a gas station as she and my sister was feeling hungry too. A few seconds after we pull off the road, the car from earlier raced past doing 60-70 mph in a 40 mph limit zone. I go the bathroom but I find no longer need to go, same thing happened with my brother. Things were all peachy keen until we reach the bottom of the hill when we stop at a traffic jam, my mom spotting a helicopter flying away from down the road. 20 minutes later, we were allowed passed the scene of a wreck. I look the cars involved when I get chills down my spine, it was the white car from before teetering on the edge of the guard rail of the road. It's front end smashed from colliding with the rear end of another car before swerving into the guard rail. The helicopter must've flown out one of the people in the crash. If we continue driving down the road, ten minutes later my family and I might've been in that crash.

I would go to a parade. It was in the morning, i was tired and kind of overslept. So decided i didn't go. A car drove in the crowd and a lot of people died. And others were injured.
I was lucky (but really sad that happend ofcourse) but a lot of people were worried because i would stand there.

The morning of July 31, 1987. My parents were debating whether to drive all the way to Edmonton to the local campground and see our Calgary relatives on the way back or to see our Calgary relatives first then drive to Edmonton (me and my sister were eager to see West Edmonton Mall at the time). We chose Calgary first then Edmonton the next day. On the news on our Calgary relatives tv later that day we heard about the F4 tornado that touched down in the city; 27 dead and 300+ injured and a ton of destruction.

    I have two story!
in 2007 my mom and me and I think my sister my mom was driving me back home from summer reading program in Minneapolis, Minnesota we drive on the I-35w bridge we got off the bridge 45 minutes later the bridge Collapse.
On August 23, 2011 my family went to Washington, D.C we want to go see the Washington Monument and go inside but the tickets to go inside the monument but all of the tickets were sold out. So my family went to a local park and to the snack bar I think it was 15 minutes after we left the Washington Monument the earthquake happened. (from being on from Minnesota we thought it was just a loud underground train) than the snack bar worker yell earthquake.
I seem to always get out of the way at good time!!!

So literally yesterday, we were leaving a restaurant but I wanted to stay and finish my Mac and cheese. My mom goes to get up when there’s a commotion outside because a motorcycle was sideswiped. Last I heard everyone was ok but the driver of the car broke her leg. Crazy to think it could’ve been us.

I had something similar happened, there was one day where I had plans to go to the driving range and then go to work but I wasn’t feeling well I just had a little bit of a headache and I couldn’t motivate myself to go, next day I was super sick and turns out I had Covid. I had called out of work and skipped the driving range so I saved exposing some coworkers and friends to Covid

My mom and my sister we’re going to a food bank. I was going to go with them, but decided not to. While they were stopped at train crossing my mother due to lack of oxygen passed out. She took her foot off the break, and instead of putting her back on the break she put it on the gas pedal. They hit a train. The backseat where I would’ve been sitting was ripped completely off the vehicle. My mother and my sister are OK now they survived my mother had a broken neck my sister uninjured.

7:15 I don’t think people truly realize how scary the duck boat incident was. I’ve lived in MO my entire life and went to Branson a ton as a kid, we have a lake house about 45 minutes/ an hour away (this is a recent thing haven’t had it my whole life, also it’s a lil half house half trailer I’m not rich 😭) BUT I’ve been on the duck boats a handful of times in my life and obviously it’s a big attraction. Idk useless “could’ve been me” ramblings

I was going to go down to our bus parked on the shoulder of our road in front of the house. To get a broom that was in the very back of the bus.
Wife said just wait a few minutes during those minutes a car rear-ended the parked bus. Actually totaled the bus. Driver and passengers were assumed dead by anyone who saw pictures. (they were mostly ok) I would have been inside right where he impacted the bus.

About fourteen months ago I was joyriding on my new motorcycle with a group of friends. We in Houston and the street we were in merged at the light into one lane. There was this couple that were friends of my friend. I saw the merge coming and let them pass in front of me. When we came to the light and stopped this dude burst out of the ground floor door that was even with them. Dude starts to book it. This other dude runs out after him and the first dude pulls a gun an starts shooting at the second dude. Shoots the second guy as he pulls out an uzi. As he goes down I guess he pulled the trigger. Sprays the couple and hits the first dude. If I hadn’t let them pass that would have been me. Shit really fucked with me. Random shit happens. Such little things could have made that all different.

5:10 i think its at least 1 of 2 or both things, if not anything religious or spiritual and the like. either our danger sense (that feeling we get when we worry if we forgot to turn off the stove or check the stove as we were about to put our hand on it a few seconds ago, whether its on or off the fact we check is that feeling. or when biking how to turn and where to go when on a difficult and dangerous path even tho its obvious our danger sense tells us a little faster than we can think consciously.) or other sixth sense or gut instinct (we literally have a secondary brain centered around our abdomen, its our enteric nervous system. it takes in many times more info than what the conscious and mayb subconscious mind can handle per second and when we get that feeling its our 2nd brain telling us something is off.) the other thing not to do with the normal sixth sense is that some ppl think weve forgotten the future and r remembering it in moments like that or during a premonition.
i once had a premonition like dream when i was barely 6, i saw a few things and characters from a few shows i hadnt seen yet for at least a yr or few depending on which person or thing, like lurch of the addams family show who i hadnt seen yet till later that yr or later, same for a black and white clip from the bugs bunny and road runner movie which i nvr couldve known about or seen which i saw around 2-4 yrs later and the 1st time i saw charlize theron from might joe young the movie around a few yrs later and a few other things. it was just an amalgamation of stuff i hadnt yet seen in my life from various things of tv, but it was a nightmare so lurch was trying grab me i hid in an empty fridge that was in the middle of the room and kicked the door into him a few times when hed try to open it and it would spring closed and then i woke up to find my dad groaning and said he came to wake me up to give me a hug b4 he left for work around 6am. obviously a few yrs later i figured out i kicked in the balls outside my dream instead of the fridge door against lurch in my dream. the memory always cracks me up. XD rofl

11:52 its called the maternal instinct, can b in any1 but its most heard of and talked about from a mother. after all a crappy mother gives birth to their kid barely cares at all for them when given to them to see. while a sterile/infertile person adopts a child and balls there eyes out during the 1st hug/1st time they hold the baby and then some time later, can even b minutes they get that instinct going haywire and it saves kid mayb even sacrificing themselves in the process, couldve even been the same child.
