    An overactive mind nearly cost me my success, balance & happiness. Over the past year I've developed my brain dumping system to overcome all the stress, overwhelm and mental overload that I faced trying to keep everything in my head. It's an unconventional productivity tip and tool that has helped me reach my full potential, become a better person, and has honestly changed my life forever.
    I hope this video helps you to do the same 🤍

    Talyla! your videos are amazing! I have been following & doing the things you have recommended since you very first video and it has really helped me in my life right now. Especially the Life audit! Thank you so much for these videos. Some days are hard but others are better but being able to create all these habits has helped so much. It’s silly because I’ve always known I needed to be more organized for my overthinking mind on top of my adhd but I couldn’t find anyone teaching in such a way that was simple and easy to follow so THANK YOU ❤

    Some of the best and well delivered advice for time management! Your intro was literally the last 30 years of my life with a brain that just won’t stop, it’s debilitating. Just stumbled on your channel after years of coaching in time management and productivity and I have to say you make it simple and easy to follow and without pressure of running complex systems and “life hacks”. It’s refreshing to see and I’m loving the content, keep up the great work!

    He! A physical notebook is NOT "really oldschool"! 🤨 I'm adicted to youtube and doomscrolling, so braindumting and planing with my phone is the dead of my productivity! Lock the phone away and work with a physical notebook is the best! 😏

      I love that you use one! ‘Really old school’ definitely isn’t saying there’s anything wrong with it, I just don’t see it around much anymore 🤍

      I use a waterproof notebook and pencil -- my brain insists on giving me ideas while I'm in the bath 🦆

    Another great video Tayla and these principles have been very powerful for me over the years. A couple of extra thoughts are the GTD is a hugely powerful system the trick is in working out how to make tweaks to suit your personal needs in professional life and personal. The second benefit of brain dumping is for overthinkers as it helps get structure to it that then allows to partner with the routines and trigger alerts for when you are getting stuck in a mind loop or stuck on a thought.

      Just goes to show that sometimes the originals are all you need!

    Good video. The Getting Things Done (GTD) system was a game changer here too. For me the best capture system is Microsoft's To Do which works on Linux (run in a wrapper -- Kuro), my iPad, and Android. Like Notes it's very fast and syncs everywhere. And it's still free (Feb 2024).

    This reminds me of the Getting Things Done method. The base is that your brain is not a storage but a place for criativity.

      Yes 100% - I definitely drew a lot of inspiration from GTD!

    You mentioned using a database to capture some of the details. Do you use a separate program for that, or is that something you can set up using Notes?

    • @TaylaBurrell
      @TaylaBurrell  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I use Notion databases, so I capture in my Notes app then move it into there!

    7:30 "You do not have to action anything you write down" ...Is that a common way people in your country talk? I'm from USA and never heard "action" used as a verb. I would've said "You don't have to do anything you write down." Would you say "I'll action it later" instead of "I'll do it later?"

    • @deeanngreen9482
      @deeanngreen9482 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Very common in Australia! At work we will even receive emails with the subject “tasks to action”
