United We Stand: The Manchester United Fanzine:
First published in 1989 when Manchester United was very different to the corporate beast it has become, United We Stand is an independent voice of Manchester United supporters.
The majority of UWS writers watch Manchester United home and away and the mag has long been established as one of Britain's best selling football fanzines.
Influential, incisive, irreverent and proudly independent, UWS tells it like it is. You might not always agree with the opinions within, but you'll take note. #ManUtd #ManchesterUnited #Preseason - กีฬา

united fans are the biggest mugs ever being made fools of by the glazers, stop fucking funding them
Absolutely hate that we play prem teams in preseason now
What teams did it used to be ?
Random rubbish teams @@Fgd231
@@Fgd231teams in the country they visit lol
@@plopplop1984 thanks
Me too but it’s so they can generate more ticket sales
Never heard of Liverpool, thanks Andy!
Haha. Just got to update us
I see Andy Mitten, I click.
Quality
Andy is quality 🙏🏼
Your increased production quality hasn't gone unnoticed and has got me excited for the season ahead. Nice to have your face and voice back in my feed again, been too long 🤩
You've nailed it there Andy. Chasing the big bucks in the USA is detrimental to pre season preparation. Too much travelling and media duties. Sadly the financial crisis at the club means it's a necessary evil. Money has well and truly ruined the beautiful game.
I need more Andy Mitten in my life
These type of content every fan needs🫡
Pre season matches are important for getting in shape and trying tactics, but MUFC tours have become like a traveling circus meant to make money for the Glazers. Players should be getting a good amount rest to recover and then a carefully scheduled program to maximize fitness, durability, and team tactics for the new season. I sometimes wonder if all the injuries this club have are due to lack of rest and making them go on tour.
& most every player on international duty ... excepting Marcus!
It’s very much global commercialism now more than “tactics and training”. That’s the harsh reality these days. U want that new signing …gotta hustle
Last preseason was ridiculous and left us tired, under-prepared and injury prone when season started.
Mitten you bring a sense of real culture. Such a unique style and so much substance. Brilliant stuff!
No nonsense, quality stuff Andy 🍻
Finally Utd is returning for action😊😊
Andy man, thanks for everything you do from all the red family 🇾🇪
I am excited for this year's tour to start
Andy, Top Man! ♥
American fan since a ‘99 family trip when I was just 3 years old. Was able to purchase my first ticket this year to Wolves at OT in April. Buzzing. Hoping to make a cheeky Lake District visit afterwards. Hoping for a good cover on United We Stand that week, Andy.
Hope your visit gets a win? Enjoy the Lake District, it’s unbelievably beautiful.
Cheers Andy, looking forward to your content during preseason!!!
Class as always Andy
Please keep uploading videos like this on your channel, I really enjoy watching it. I know you're busy with your work, but I, and I'm sure many others really appreciate and maybe you can upload weekly videos (not including the player rating). Cheers.
i was at Lerkendal in Trondheim 92. That Denis Irwin freekick. Off the crossbar, 3-2 Utd!
I became jealous when I saw this photograph with Sir Alex Ferguson just posing like he´s among his best friends... wow.
Thanks Andy. Great show, really interesting
Nice prog to update us Mu fans. Thanks Andy
Praise the lord🙏a proper utd story to cling onto till season starts. Thanks andy, quality as always
Andy, I just found this channel. I'm so pleased, I've been a regular listener to the podcast for a couple of years.
I really appreciate your insights into the club.
Thanks Andy. I can feel the excitement starting to bubble under already! Or it could be that dodgy curry I ate yesterday after watching England scrape through another round of Euro 2024
Thanks Andy, much appreciated insight.
I think Brian Kidd made his debut on a tour of the USA in 67, about 9 months later he scored in the European cup final. United also toured the states in 1950 ish, and one game kicked off so late it finished after midnight.
Yes they did fan since 57 cup final just got our first tiny TV all in black and white. Like the show. Andy you are a true fan
Yes Andy 👏👏🙌
Yeah, $180 is a lot, but like you said, if this is a special event we might only get to a couple of times in a decade, it’s worth it.
Pre season will be getting younger players involved. Maybe Ethan's Wheatley and Williams will get games. Good luck Andy.
Toby Collyer
It’s better than oz and the states because the players do be knackered before the season starts
Great pice this 👍
Nice to know what you were doing at 17, Andy because I never knew !!!
Great work 👍
Hi Mitten ❤ from India
Hoping a match day review
It's a pleasure to listen to you. The Guardian's loss is our perennial gain.
Don't forget fancy boat rides in San Diego. Hope your well Andy.. No tour this year. Will miss it
Andy, these my 1st time hearing Liverpool, is it in England 😅😅😅
What a job to have...
No pre-season friendly at OT this year then?
*@Andy, we on the states side will pay as high as 250+ per game for a 3 game package of PL games, and that is minimum depending on seating level, for United absolutely*
I live near San Diego and Los Angeles. My wife and I make very good money but I can’t justify how much the tickets cost just to see non-starters. Happy to watch online.
Man United was supposed to play a pre-season match in Jakarta back in 2009. I bought the ticket and all but it was cancelled due to a terrorist attack. Anyway... I wish Man United would consider playing a pre-season in rarely visited areas. Like... I bet a pre-season tour around South America or Sub-Saharan Africa or The Balkans would be an amazing experience. I don't know if it's interesting enough financially but come on...!!!
Andy..imagine getting yoro and de ligt ..what are your thought?me i scream at the top of my lung 😂
That pic off Barmy kev was it juve or coming back from honved? I do remember your young kipper on train trying to take ICJ behaviour in play lol,I think I sat with Massey if any pics of me on train mate?
All games live on MUTV I believe
👌🏼
Last years pre season tour was a disaster!I I feared the worst but hoped for the best.i knew we were in trouble first game of the season.i just hope we learnt our lesson???
Managers HATE pre season tours when there's more travelling than there are games like our first season under ten hag. All the travelling does is take it out of the players
Scholes used to go to light water valley in Ripon with his wife and kids. Hardly anyone recognised him and that was when he was playing for United & England 😉. No heirs and graces, just a normal bloke out with his family.
Hi Andy, do you think there's any chance of United coming to South Africa? The last time they came to SA I was still a teenager around 2007 I think.
Sorry Andy - Japan is actually in Northeast Asia [NOT Southeast Asia].
just bought my tickets for the Sofi stadium game , Sec 550 • Row 20 for two its $250 each
Whilst United may make a shed load of money on these preseason games, you can guarantee that at least 2 of our star players will get injured and miss the early part/ or all of the season, which might just be the difference between getting or missing out on a Champion's league place. Fingers crossed
Andy, is the shorter US tour a recognition that the longer one last year was detrimental to injuries and form?
Average wages aren't bigger, though tories have fucked ours.
Boring that we play prem teams. I’d like to see games against lesser known US sides
Your team will be knackered before the season starts… let’s hope you don’t use that as an excuse when you get relegated!
Last pre season there was two much full new squad every 45 mins..no one got proper minutes and consistency to get sharp and fit and as a result we never got going
The price in the U.S. is a bit much.
Sorry Andy but Cleveland is NOT in South Carolina!!!
I for one will not be going to Edinburgh to watch a preseason game that is purely designed as a marketing stunt.
Good luck to you. Tens of thousands will.
So boring when they play other EPL teams, would love to see something new
Money talks
You should check how much Indians paid for the World Cup match versus Pakistan last year. Several tickets were sold upwards of 20,000 usd and a few double that. Cheers.
The Sofi Stadium is absolutely bonkers.
I hate all these traveling. Disruptive to building up fitness, disorienting time zone changes, higher risk of injuries...last season disastrous start and subsequent injurt records perhaps partially due to these unnecessary traveling. We can just do European touring for once
I’d argue last preseason put us on a path for destruction. It’s all a travelling circus. If we had any integrity, we’d at least do it in Africa and make a difference to the game
im gay
So?
Get yourself a medical then!🤨👹
That was interesting. It is grossly unfair that our loyal fans in poorer countries haven't got a snowball in hell's chance of seeing their team. Money money money, it stinks.
mufc support in glasgow is from the catholic community. many of whom hate sevco. you can keep the prem league- its ruined football. var is bent and corrupt-the big 6 are greedy and only have their own interests for selfish reasons. i'd rather watch non league and womens football. they play for honest reasons=their love of football and not money
How are you going to make it work in the current financial problems that the American states have no food in stores. Wendes Micky "D"s and other big chains have shut their shops. Have you people been burring your heads. I would like a public statement for your states visit.
I live in the states. What are you talking about?
All this trotting around the USA needs to stop, the timezones are just silly & you're essentially zigzagging a continent every few days. Is it really worth a few million? Stick to Europe, loads of great weather camps in Algarve, Spain or Switzerland where you can play teams in stadiums or behind closed doors. Having said that, if this is the compromise we have to make to keep premier league games at home...I'd take it.
