Hi Mel... awhile back I came across a HUGE collection of Jehovah Witness books, pamplets, magazines oh my you name it and the folks that had these left them all behind when they moved. Myself not knowing anything about the culture/religion ran home and looked some of them up... needless to say I sold them all for well over $5000. Talk about mouth dropping. So yes I can see how something we don't normally use ourselves that we have to keep in mind that many other people out there will use. :)

I live finding Tarot cards especially Doreen Virtue. She denounced all things new age after a lifetime of encouraging it so her old stuff went up in value. Great video!
Some of the doreen virtue decks go for a lot because they are out of print. Eg. The romance angels deck i sold them for £50.00 but they were going for much more.
Tell the universe that you’d like to sell them, bring them into your existence by thinking about them and what it would feel like to sell them and what you are already doing with that money. (To manifest is to see it and feel it as it always is)

I am normally a silent watcher. But I just wanted to comment and say that the romance one could be many things not necessarily with a person. You are starting a new journey at the wear house with your eBay business and in doing so maybe you fall in love with it all over again. Or maybe you start to sell on a different platform. These are guides. Not gospel. Though I’m not in your shoes so only you know if that first card holds any weight. And we as viewers should respect her privacy about her separation.
Perhaps you could open a day care centre. Train the children to photograph and list. Back from burnout sweat shop just like Nike and Apple, the sky's the limit. Chris and Tech would be all over this. Good to see you smiling again 🙂

I think the secret (if there is one) is finding a deck or two that resonate with you. I've purchased these new over the years (often encouraged by a friend) and then thought WTF! But now I want to find a nice pack and have some fun. You pulled some good cards all pointing to the fact that there's lots of positive energy around you and you're going to be just fine. May that box bring you much good fortune (it might help pay to move all the books) !!!

With all those books, maybe the angel's thought you were trying to open a school. At any rate, you do teach. And age is just a number, we're all young at heart here. So, yeah. You teach children. Have fun and good luck.
Those readings all sounded very positive. With regards 'romance' we can feel love in many ways and can "fall in love" or become quite besotted with things, activities , aspects of self etc as well as people. This doesn't preclude romantic love of course, but in conjunction with the other cards drawn in each reading, I would be inclined to read it as reawakening your passion for your books and You Tube etc. You are a great role model for aspiring entrepreneurs and young people. My 20 & 21yo nieces watch you and my 7yo nephew loves to watch your channel too. I hope they all learn to follow their dreams and understand they can be successfully self employed by doing something they enjoy. The 7yo loves helping me to buy stuff to resell. He's developing quite an eye. When he reaches double figures, I'll set him up with an ebay account (through me) . You gave me the push I needed to get listing and I love it! I really don't know why I was so nervous of reselling for so many years! I love when you pick out little gems that appeal to you from your hauls. Perhaps, if you have time, you could do a Gem of the Week/Month video. The Tarot cards were a great haul and your readings were fun. Best wishes for the coming weeks and months. Hi again Mel, I have a question. When first starting with EBay did you have a time when you were spending more money then You were making or just breaking even? I mean when you start your first say 100 listings it’s hard to be making a lot of money when your still only getting 6 or 8 sales a week. Did you push through that and kept listing or wait to you get more sales before buying and listing again??
Yes. When you start or when you want to grow again. Sometimes it takes eBay sales a while to catch up to the amount your listing per day. If you’re selling highly saturated items I personally think you almost need 1000 items in your store to start seeing consistent daily sales. When you’re just starting I would try and source less items but items that will sell for higher profits (think of these as gold items) then as your store grows and you need to source more to list more then you start to add in silver items. And then once you really grow you have to add in the bronze items as it’s hard to source enough gold and silver. Don’t start with filling your store with bronze items as it will take forever to make a profit. X

A really good bundle Mel, you're right they are more time consuming to list, but the ones I have sold have moved quickly. Not that you need any advice on how to resell but I sold a vintage 80s tarot book a few weeks ago, it wasn't anything special but sold in a week to someone in South Korea so definitely have international shipping available. With everything that's going on with your life, you are showing great resilience & you should be proud of yourself. 🙂

I have a pack/sealed deck of Rider tarot cards from the 80's for $95 on ebay at the moment that I spotted at an op shop, some tarot cards can take a while to sell though...the older the better and in good condition of course 😉

Love Tarot Cards Have a huge collection that i use daily. If you would like some help just give me a message Mel. The runes packs do alot better in the boxes. Doreen Virtue cards are popular but i find they don't fetch as much as Pictorial Decks. the most popular deck to find is the Rider Waite Deck.
Maybe the teaching children is through you books that you sell, maybe think about donating your books, Time, or to have a monetary account to a childrens cause. to a children's local schools or children's daycare or children's hospital, who knows but I do know when you give a little of yourself it comes back 10 fold. I have stumbled on a lot of 0ver 100 decks of cards in original boxes. With this lot are books on the cards, astrology books, and other books along this line. I have an eBay store but since I have so much of this type of material, should I open another store to sell them? Just wondering. Thanks for any insight!
I have a nice collection myself :) I've read Tarot & oracle cards since I was 16 & I'm 53 now :) The Book of Runes has the Runes in the pouch that one reads, those were a bit too much to learn for me ;) lol :) Many of those decks you can get for $5-$25 are brand new, especially during the holiday season on Hay House's website. My pre-owed oracle cards I've sold for $25 or less. Doreen Virtue has a strong following but she's never been my favorite. I do own one of her decks though.
Such a good haul. Doreen cards are in demand. I’ve sold the healing with angel cards multiple times for the $40 to $60 mark. The tiles is it actually missing or is blank in the book to make it even?
I’m not sure about the tile I’ll have to read it a little more to check. Doreen virtue is definitely a good seller and some of her older decks bring the bigger money
Silly question Mel but I’ve been watching all your videos and was wondering what that tool is called you wrap the book bundles with cling wrap ? Where can I get one of those?
It’s called mini shrink wrap. In Australia I buy it at Bunnings. But if your international check your local hardware stores or anywhere you can buy packaging supplies.
Mel I have an off topic question. I’ve seen a lot of people who sell books on Ebay that have like 10+ of the same book like sometimes 100s.. where do they get that many of the same book from? Also do you know if I can give people a discount like buy 2 get 1 free without a store subscription? Have you made a video on discounts? I also see people selling books for $3.50 + free shipping not sure how that works.
Maybe they are new books and they’re buying from the same supplier? I sometimes have up to 6-8 of the same book in store but not normally any more than that. To run coupons and take advantage of the marketing tools you do need a store. I highly recommend it if you are listing consistently with the intention to sell for profit.
Some business models have some items in their store they use to bring activity to a store and they may even run those at a loss. If it’s a UK seller a lot of them use media mail and they are huge sellers with very minimal cost of goods so they sell huge volume at the lower prices
I read oracle cards for myself and family. If I had the money I would buy all of them. These are oracle cards though not tarot cards. Definitely popular. I haven’t seen any for sale at flea markets or second hand stores. I’ve bought mine all brand new and spent like $15-$30 each.
True story, Doreen Virtue - the "author" of two of those decks you showed is now a Christian and has renounced her previous works, i.e. anything to do with those cards etc. as they go against what the Bible tells you to do. Just thought you may find that interesting. She has tried getting the publishing companies to stop making them and tried buying the copyright without success. Any money made is donated straight to charity.
Those Runes should be popular now. A lot of people watch Vikings on TV, are interested in Norse mythology etc. Maybe you can find a flat stone in your back yard to replace the missing piece? It’s not the worst piece missing.

I always keep my eyes open for Tarot cards. I did sell a set for $100 a few months ago and it sold quickly - They were vintage cards
The vintage ones can sell for really high amounts!
I have stumbled on a lot of 0ver 100 decks of cards in original boxes. With this lot are books on the cards, astrology books, and other books along this line. I have an eBay store but since I have so much of this type of material, should I open another store to sell them? Just wondering. Thanks for any insight!

I have a nice collection myself :) I've read Tarot & oracle cards since I was 16 & I'm 53 now :) The Book of Runes has the Runes in the pouch that one reads, those were a bit too much to learn for me ;) lol :) Many of those decks you can get for $5-$25 are brand new, especially during the holiday season on Hay House's website. My pre-owed oracle cards I've sold for $25 or less. Doreen Virtue has a strong following but she's never been my favorite. I do own one of her decks though.

Such a good haul. Doreen cards are in demand. I’ve sold the healing with angel cards multiple times for the $40 to $60 mark. The tiles is it actually missing or is blank in the book to make it even?
I’m not sure about the tile I’ll have to read it a little more to check. Doreen virtue is definitely a good seller and some of her older decks bring the bigger money

It’s called mini shrink wrap. In Australia I buy it at Bunnings. But if your international check your local hardware stores or anywhere you can buy packaging supplies.

Mel I have an off topic question. I’ve seen a lot of people who sell books on Ebay that have like 10+ of the same book like sometimes 100s.. where do they get that many of the same book from? Also do you know if I can give people a discount like buy 2 get 1 free without a store subscription? Have you made a video on discounts? I also see people selling books for $3.50 + free shipping not sure how that works.
Maybe they are new books and they’re buying from the same supplier? I sometimes have up to 6-8 of the same book in store but not normally any more than that. To run coupons and take advantage of the marketing tools you do need a store. I highly recommend it if you are listing consistently with the intention to sell for profit.
Some business models have some items in their store they use to bring activity to a store and they may even run those at a loss. If it’s a UK seller a lot of them use media mail and they are huge sellers with very minimal cost of goods so they sell huge volume at the lower prices
I read oracle cards for myself and family. If I had the money I would buy all of them. These are oracle cards though not tarot cards. Definitely popular. I haven’t seen any for sale at flea markets or second hand stores. I’ve bought mine all brand new and spent like $15-$30 each.
When you read for someone else do you have to do that with them so they can physically touch them? Or can you read someone from afar using the cards?

True story, Doreen Virtue - the "author" of two of those decks you showed is now a Christian and has renounced her previous works, i.e. anything to do with those cards etc. as they go against what the Bible tells you to do. Just thought you may find that interesting. She has tried getting the publishing companies to stop making them and tried buying the copyright without success. Any money made is donated straight to charity.

Those Runes should be popular now. A lot of people watch Vikings on TV, are interested in Norse mythology etc. Maybe you can find a flat stone in your back yard to replace the missing piece? It’s not the worst piece missing.
