I love this!! In all the animals she mentiones!!! Everytime I'm sorcing and see a good pig or cat etc I always say in my head "do we love a good pig, yes we do" lmao right in my cart it goes ahaha
I love that chandelier! Even if you didn't use it as a light, if you took the light part out, it would make a beautiful display piece placed over a pretty statue or other art piece that you wanted to protect.
Dear Karen, l am in Sydney Australia and a new follower of yours on TH-cam. Congratulations! You are a joy to watch, everything is immaculate and sparkles, you, your home and that extraordinary basement. Your energy and organisation is an inspiration. Thank you for sharing.
I have the entire collection of those Byer carolers. I inherited them from my former mother-in-law. I absolutely love them! They have been a staple in my Christmas decor for over 20 years. ❤
Karen, That Chandelier is Everything. What a Great Find! So glad you picked it up. (no pun intended!) I hope someone makes a good home for it. I can just see it hanging inside the front door of a big beautiful home. Oh how grand!
I love that fur hat! Here in Chicago, both women and men still wear hats in the winter and vintage hats are popular for a night out even if you're dressed casually in jeans and boots. Black or brown are common but that auburn color would be special!
I purchased a similar light but already had a massive chandelier in the foyer. Wondered around the house and found a matching table - reduced the wattage in the bulbs - now it's in the corner of our parlor as an stunning accent piece.
Karen, love your amazing finds! That chandelier is everything! Also, you look so beautiful in white and should wear it more often. I love the versatility it offers. Have continuous great shopping days!
Karen watch George the Antique Nomad. He’s very knowledgeable with everything especially glass and pottery. You can learn a lot from him. Thank you for all your hard work. Enjoy your videos!
Hi Karen, the amberina bowl is most probably Jordan Imports. They imported in the 50/60's Italian glass, some of which they designed themselves. Love your channel.!
Our goodwill no longer gives a senior discount, NONE. I checked online for the chandelier, and though I didn’t find an exact match, and I didn’t look at sold items, I’m confident you will be pleased. Good luck. Yes, we wore gloves in the 60s. I had a pillbox hat that I wore to church on Sunday in the 1960s as well.
Granny’s upside down basket is likely that way to provide a mobile platform to create the scene, with the gingerbread house and tree, allowing them to be lifted and moved together, after creation. When our kids were little we’d do similar creations on a bread board or cookie sheet, for the same reason.
I absolutely love the corner shelves & the expandable book shelf! Great finds!! I have seen someone hang one of those wood book shelves on their wall using brackets & using it as a display shelf 😊
Hi Karen, Byers Choice is on 309 in Chalfont north of the Goodwill in Montgomeryville. I have taken damaged carolers back to them for repair at no cost and free return shipping. Things may have changed lately but it's worth asking.
The Crate and Barrel nesting bowls on WorthPoint were by Zak Designs and there were 6 total, yours is missing the tiny blue bowl. There is one recent comp from 5/22 on eBay for $34.99. Hope this helps. I absolutely love your content!!!❤
Hi Karen, I'm Diane! I just started watching your videos a month ago. I have started reselling on FB Marketplace and now EBAY around the same time. After a long salon career I am now on a new path. Thank you for sharing your livelihood and your life. You are an inspiration and I have learned much. Now I AM going to go out and get what is mine!!!😊
I ordered shelves from Seville at your comments. I am so glad to get 60" wide shelves. Love the wheels! I have 48" and not all bins fit well on them. Thank you for your YT. I think it is an advantage to be older because we know "things" because of our experience. I saw someone trying to use a vintage typewriter and phone and not know how they worked. Love the chandelier, too! My mother had us dress up in dresses for us girls and nice slacks and shirt for my brothers when we went downtown shopping in Seattle, where we lived when I was a child. She always wore gloves when we went out--white cotton in the summer, dressy organdy in the evening for dinner with our family and either wool or cotton black in the winter. When we wore dress shoes--always nylons with garter belt. We loved it when panty hose were created!
I don’t care for the dolls it’s not my thing, but I’ll tell you what the one reason I watch this channel is I learn so much. I know what to look out for it and let me tell you if I find any of those dolls they’re going in my cart.
I would repaint the light. Use a silver "mirroring" paint on the glass and make it look like mercury glass. Repaint the rest of the metal a silver tone. Rewire for battery operated OR plugin at the bottom. Buy bulbs that flicker - and use it as a floor piece. Outdoors! Front porch! Gorgeous!
Well with the risk of shooting myself in the foot because I would love to have that santa because I collect santa's there's not one like him out there anywhere on the Internet that I could see. What I saw was between 50 and 60 for some of the more rare ones. Good luck!
Oh Karen that chandelier is amazing it looks French I look some up and they go well over the $2000 mark but if you had a Louis it would be way over the 20,000 but still a great pick up for what you paid for it. Worth way more than a lot of them because it has five lights in it and it’s hexagon.
My parents had a light just like that hanging over a side table in their family room in Camp Hill, PA. My dad sold lighting fixtures to specialty lighting stores, new this light was very expensive. Check to see if it has markings like it has gold finish. They moved from their house 10 years ago. I wonder if this was from their former house?🤔
I am always amazed you can remember what you pay for things. I'd probably have to write it down as I'm taking things off the shelves cuz I doubt receipts make it clear.
I would not have left the store without that gorgious chandelier either. Also many nice items in the hall and ready to ship. I just love your channel because A it's you and B. fully packed content in every show. Thanks for that Karen.
That entrance light fixture is beautiful! I've been looking for some Croscill drapes you showed a few weeks ago but haven't seen them in your shop. Hope you have time to list them soon. Have a great week!
As always great stuff. I was listing while listening and got confused with "Bryers" thinking the horses now made dolls....lol being Byers Choice. Love your purchases!
The only thing I know about melamine is you shouldn’t microwave it. I have a few confetti melamine Texas Ware mixing bowls that I cherish and I always hand wash (never wash in the dishwasher…even top shelf), and never use them in the microwave. Somewhere I read if microwaving melamine it would give off a chemical reaction that would possibly make it non-food safe? They never have the warning labels on the old stuff LOL
Gosh, I wish I had a basement! I’m just getting started with my thrift flips (mostly MCM vintage) but not organized at all! Thank you for showing us your amazingly organized “store”!
Hello Karen, I follow your channel and love how you treat each item with great care and delicacy. The two wrought iron items could originally have been holy water containers used in catholic churches.
I love the Chandelier and that was an awesome score. Goodwill Senior Day was 30% in Indianapolis previously but they discontinued ALL discounts. The prices went up and there are no more discounts. I can no longer afford to shop there. Thanks for sharing your haul.
I would have taken the chandelier home too! It is fabulous! You have such a nice voice...you should be a audiobook narrator! After spending way too much time in a doctor's office, it was so pleasant watching this video!
Great job as always. That light fixture brass great find. MAY TAKE AWHILE TO SELL BUT WILL BE WORTH THE WAIT. I ONLY SELL ON MARKETPLACE AND MY STORAGE IS AT HOME TOO. WOW ITS A CRAZY WORLD SO MUCH STUFF GETTING A LITTLE OVERWHELMING LOL
We can't get anything at goodwill for the prices you pay. Also all the really good items are sent to Portland to a special store in the down town. I am finding very little to buy and flip. Also everyonevand their brother are trying to copy your success so the shelves are empty. I'll keep trying Nancy in Salem Oregon
Love this kind of video! I started selling in October right when I lost almost completely my hearing, I now really need to sell, because my aid and cochlear implants are very expensive! You inspire me, although our thrift stores are really expensive, I am still making money. Ps: Of what kind of wood is that bowl made? I think I have one listed, have views but not takers, I find that everyone wants a discount!

Love the fur hat! I thought I read we couldn’t sell fur on eBay?
Karen, wow, that chandelier you rescued!! Can just picture the traditional, classic home that this would look fantastic in. 😍
You have the best organization I have ever seen in a basement.
T-shirt suggestion. "Do we love a good ....yes we do!" For all the lavender clothesline groupies!
Yes ss lol
I absolutely love this!
Perfect!
I love this!! In all the animals she mentiones!!! Everytime I'm sorcing and see a good pig or cat etc I always say in my head "do we love a good pig, yes we do" lmao right in my cart it goes ahaha
I laughed so hard when the title was do we love a good light ??? Yes we do lol
I love that chandelier! Even if you didn't use it as a light, if you took the light part out, it would make a beautiful display piece placed over a pretty statue or other art piece that you wanted to protect.

Welcome Bab! We’re so glad you’re here!! 💜
Looking forward to hear the update on the sell of the chandelier.
I have the entire collection of those Byer carolers. I inherited them from my former mother-in-law. I absolutely love them! They have been a staple in my Christmas decor for over 20 years. ❤
Nice haul! For the wooden sliding book shelf, it could possibly be used in a bathroom to hold rolled up towels.
Great idea!!
Looks like an outdoor front porch 2 stories high lighting fixture.
Karen, That Chandelier is Everything. What a Great Find! So glad you picked it up. (no pun intended!) I hope someone makes a good home for it. I can just see it hanging inside the front door of a big beautiful home. Oh how grand!

You can sell it on Facebook market place for local pickup. If you have a large dinning room/table I would put it in the middle as a centerpiece
The wooden expandable book shelf would be gorgeous in a vintage kitchen for cookbooks.
Karen watch George the Antique Nomad. He’s very knowledgeable with everything especially glass and pottery. You can learn a lot from him.
Thank you for all your hard work. Enjoy your videos!
Hi Karen you are amazing I can’t stop watching your videos. Love the chandelier.
I love that lamp/chandelier!! Would love to find a treasure like that some day!
The Byers dolls are adorable! That was a great find! As I have said before, I love watching and learning. You really brighten my day! Thank you
I found a Breyer horse but was a donkey or something . Paid $5.99 and sold for $60 I believe !! Great find for me !
You all are so fortunate to have a GREAT Goodwill!! We Never find good stuff and it is not because we are not trying!!
Ohmygosh that Chandiler!
I did some basement inventory updates this morning as well. Your storage system looks great! - Samantha
Roger to the rescue! Love your willingness to take on the big challenges.
Hi Karen, the amberina bowl is most probably Jordan Imports. They imported in the 50/60's Italian glass, some of which they designed themselves. Love your channel.!

I'm curious...what kinds of discounts does the store offers each month?
Hi sweetie, it’s a Byers Choice not Bryers. Love these, I’ve collected them for years! Nice find! ❤
What an enjoyable video Karen!! After all this time I am still learning so much from you. One of your best. God bless you.
Thank you my dear friend! xoxoxox
@@lavenderclothesline xoxo
The bowls that were pulled were ones that had bamboo fibers in them. I had some pulled by eBay.
T-shirt suggestion- hmm, that's interesting! wonderful haul Karen, the carolers are my favorite
Granny’s upside down basket is likely that way to provide a mobile platform to create the scene, with the gingerbread house and tree, allowing them to be lifted and moved together, after creation. When our kids were little we’d do similar creations on a bread board or cookie sheet, for the same reason.
Hi Karen, in some Louisiana goodwills you can use the 50% off color with your senior discount. That gives you 65% off, even better of a deal.
I absolutely love your hair! ❤️
I was just thinking the same thing the color and the cut!
I love the chandelier, it's amazing
The chandelier is beautiful and would make a tada in a house with a big entrance area.
Love that lamp and glad you grabbed it 💕
I absolutely love the corner shelves & the expandable book shelf! Great finds!! I have seen someone hang one of those wood book shelves on their wall using brackets & using it as a display shelf 😊
The brass copper foodwarmer is called rechaud. Its a French word.
Thank you!! 💜
Good to know
Hi Karen, Byers Choice is on 309 in Chalfont north of the Goodwill in Montgomeryville. I have taken damaged carolers back to them for repair at no cost and free return shipping. Things may have changed lately but it's worth asking.
The wood book end thing, might be good for rolled bath towels etc.
The Crate and Barrel nesting bowls on WorthPoint were by Zak Designs and there were 6 total, yours is missing the tiny blue bowl. There is one recent comp from 5/22 on eBay for $34.99. Hope this helps. I absolutely love your content!!!❤
That was so nice of you to do the research for Karen
Thanks so much!! 😘
Great finds and I love your makeup and hair. Looking fab!

The glass is Jordan Imports, they imported Murano, great find you should be able to sell it for far more than $40!
You out did yourself with the chandelier...excellent buy!
I don’t care for the dolls it’s not my thing, but I’ll tell you what the one reason I watch this channel is I learn so much. I know what to look out for it and let me tell you if I find any of those dolls they’re going in my cart.
I loved the chandelier! Enjoyed this video Karen.
Wow!! Love that chandelier It's huge! You look beautiful in white.
That chandelier is everything. And our senior day is Tuesday and it’s only 10% off at Goodwill.
That chandelier would be great in a church over a small altar or shrine. Gorgeous!
Wow, beautiful chandelier…..entryway. Keep it for yourself!
Gorgeous!
I just sold one of those dolls on fbmp and you're spot on ..35.00 he was a caroler

Love your hair - that color looks so good with your coloring. Loved the items 😊
Do we love a good chandelier? Absolutely! I love it and the prince frog

Hi there, I've collected them, but I didn't put a lot of them out this year. Was ready for something different.
I found it on eBay. Excellent work $1440 with 38 watchers. Applause!
As always great stuff. I was listing while listening and got confused with "Bryers" thinking the horses now made dolls....lol being Byers Choice. Love your purchases!

Great video. Like when you compare what you paid and what it was sold for, even if you discussed it previously.
I always love your videos. They are informative and relaxing. Thank you!
Please let us know if the light sells😊. I love your thinking when you thrift.
Gosh, I wish I had a basement! I’m just getting started with my thrift flips (mostly MCM vintage) but not organized at all! Thank you for showing us your amazingly organized “store”!
You are amazing to paint your basement floor!
Yes love the chandelier! 💖💐

“Ji co” or Jordan’s Importing Co may be your amberina bowl. Nice find!
Love ALL of your videos! Thank you as always ~ Amy 😍
I would have taken the chandelier home too! It is fabulous! You have such a nice voice...you should be a audiobook narrator! After spending way too much time in a doctor's office, it was so pleasant watching this video!
The granny baking briar doll is probably Mrs. Santa…the pair to your other one, they both have gingerbread houses
My cousin gave me an old large beveled glass chandelier and I made a Christmas tree base out of it.
The JICo bowl is a great find. I think JICo is the exporter. Often a Murano made piece
I learned a lot , thanks.
I have a wire bell that is an ornament that’s like that spaghetti wire bowl. It’s very pretty it has medal ribbon bow at the top.
Soooo inspired by your basement, especially floor! Can you say what paint you use and how often you repaint, pretty please?
Great job as always. That light fixture brass great find. MAY TAKE AWHILE TO SELL BUT WILL BE WORTH THE WAIT. I ONLY SELL ON MARKETPLACE AND MY STORAGE IS AT HOME TOO. WOW ITS A CRAZY WORLD SO MUCH STUFF GETTING A LITTLE OVERWHELMING LOL

Hi Karen, I've been asking about a chambray skirt that you had on a haul last week, I think? It hasn't show up on Ebay and I hope I didn't miss it...
I believe all the clothing is listed
