I stopped doing plyometrics. I also followed instructions on this video and I felt improvement immediately. I also read your link to legs up the wall. I will start to do it for at least 1 hour a day

Hi I recently started doing a lot of plyometrics. I think I have damaged my knees. Mainly from doing power jumps. It has been 3 weeks and I still feel pain on my knees when I squat or bend down. Normally I would recover like 5 days. I am very worried. I also started taking joint support supplements for knees and I can feel the pain very gradually leaving little by little. It helps with the pain but I am worried the pain will come back when I stop them. I appreciate any help I can get.

    Hi Haaggus,
If some part of the body feels uncomfortable, you can do these movements to improve circulation:
Pull the leg away from the wall to release pressure on the heal.
Open and close the toes. Make circles with the foot at the ankle.
Bend the knees and lower them to the chest to ease tension in the lower back.
Find free detailed advice in "Reduce and Heal Your Knee Pain" on my website and in my comments here on TH-cam.
Please let me know if you have more questions.

@bigbrian32 An excellent way to reduce fluid in the knee is to elevate your legs up the wall. Bring the side of one of your hips against a wall, then turn so that your legs are up the wall with buttocks close to the wall. If you put a cushion or pillow under your hips, it is even better. The longer you stay in this position, the better. See "Reduce and Heal Your Knee Pain" and read the comments after at my blog listed above, which has a lot of help.
    I hope this helps you,
    Norm

Usually the longer you stay in the legs-up-wall position, and the more frequently you do this, the better. With your legs elevated in this manner you will help to reduce swelling and inflammation.
Have you tried this yet? For how long? How often?
    What were your results?
On my blog I tell the story of the man who arrived on crutches after surgery with a very large, swollen knee. The next day his knee was considerable smaller. He had spent 4 hours with his legs up the wall.
    Don't give up,
    Norm

Good for you! I am glad that you "felt improvement immediately."
Feedback like this helps me determine how well my methods are working. But more importantly, it will inspire others to heal themselves.
Thank you very much and Namasté,
    Norm

+Ham AlA Nice to hear from you again. I am not sure what you want when you ask for a direct link to my website since SLYoga that you wrote is a link. I am not sure if it is still true, but TH-cam did not allow links to be put in these "comments". However, if you look above under the video below where it says "Uploaded on Dec 31, 2010," you will see a link to "Reduce & Heal Your Knee Pain" on my website.
i hope that this answers your question.
Please let me know if you have more questions.
I wish you success in your Self-Healing with Yoga,
      Namasté,
      Norman

This not only helps you with knee movement, if you did the cruciate surgery this helps you avoid thrombosis.

If you take your time, get into the position slowly, you shouldn't have any problems.
It is okay to do this in bed.
The problem right now is that your heart is pumps the blood down the leg, but because of the pull of gravity and the congestion in the knee area, the blood in the veins does not return easily to give off the carbon dioxide to the heart. When you invert your body with legs-up-the-wall, gravity will help send the venous blood to the heart and reduce swelling.
    Good Luck,

Often it takes some time before things feel normal again. Usually, it is difficult to be optimistic when you go through something like you did. The most important thing you can do is to reduce swelling, so the more time you do the legs-up-the-wall pose, the sooner you will reduce swelling, and the sooner you will regain flexibility in your knee.
Didn't the doctor say your knee would return to normal?

    Hi Alcindor,
Probably your knee is swollen and inflamed. One of the best things that you can do is to elevate your leg up a wall to reduce swelling.
Right under my video above, I give a link to my SLYoga dot com website, and say to go to my post of "Reduce & Heal Your Knee Pain" for a lot of free help for your knee. If you read the comments after the post, you will see how others got results.
    I hope his helps,
    Namasté,
    Norm

I am sorry if I had not made this clear for you. Let me try again.
    1. Face the wall.
    2. Lie down on your back.
    3. Put both legs up the wall.
Now gravity will help reduce swelling in your legs.
    Good luck,

First, you need to stop doing things that aggravate the condition. I give detailed explanation in "Reduce & Heal Your Knee Pain" on my slyoga site shown above under the video.
Some my other videos on TH-cam, like Self-Heal Your Back Pain Yoga Pt 1, will help you reduce the pain.
Also, the comments here will help you to understand the value of the Legs-up-the-wall pose.
    I wish you success,
    YogaNorman
