Excellent video and a job well done on adding puddle lights. I am upgrading the mirrors on my '13 Silverado going from DL8 to DL3 folding mirrors w/puddle lights. I have the same master window/door control so there will have to be some physical wire connections. The master switch for the DL3's won't work with the harness for DL8's. I'm grateful that you've already solved the connection point for the puddle lights. Thanks!
@@x-coastie Is the blue wire you tapped into downstream of a fuse? I was wondering if I need to put an in-line fuse holder after tapping the feed wire. Thanks.
The truck is an LT but what package option does it take to get the power folding mirrors? RPO Code? I think DL3's with puddle lights would've worked on your truck since you have the RPO code for power folding mirrors.
It’s a LT Preferred Equipment Package. It came with: Remote Start, Universal Home Remote, Power Sliding Rear Window, Cargo Management, Heated Mirrors, Power Folding Mirrors, Auto Dimming Mirrors.
@@x-coastie Thanks. I was trying to find the RPO Codes so I could order the parts. Mine is an LT but I would need to find a donor truck(UNICORN) or the RPO Codes so the dealer can tell me what I need. Is there way you could possibly share a photo of your RPO Code sticker that's in the glove box? Don't need the vin just the codes is what the parts department told me. They said I would need the door harnesses, switches and the computer box that is in the passenger door
You don't have to do all of that work this by Dl3 Mirrors, you can get for a set for a 145 bucks. Change the mirror's out and change the setting in an instrument question.
It’s in the video. There’s a power block distribution block over the drivers foot and against the firewall. Tap into the wire and you’ll be good. Again it’s all in the video.
I just put turn signal puddle lights mirrors on my 2006. Direct plug and play if you buy the mirrors. Now on the 07 and up the turn signal works plug and play but puddle lights don’t.

Glad this will help you!

You make it look all so easy 🙌
Hopefully it was accurate for you. I try not to hide my struggles.

If not I understand
So when you put the truck on reverse they light up also
Yes. That helps to light up things along the side of the truck, like driveways.
basically you just wired them to the reverse lights?
Yes. The reason I went off the fuse block is because everything was right there.
@@x-coastie thanks!! I was think to wire some LED strips for some underglow.. this game a good idea since I was looking for this.

What? Explain
What did you wire them to to turn on like that?

Will this work on a Chevy Silverado 2006
The only thing I don’t know is the pin placement for the reverse light connection. Sorry I just don’t know for sure.
