    Ok, i like Gods and Deities, but what about demons lords and ancient devils? hahhahsah... i mean, something more dark that i can use as villains in my campaigns ;-;

    • @idontno6d105
      @idontno6d105 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      if you want a villain I imagine he'll get to Bane at some point and he makes a pretty good villain, or at least his clergy does. If you really want to use archdevils or demons, there's a lot of information about them in Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes. Furthermore, Out of the Abyss and Descent into Avernus are both published campaigns revolving around Demons and Devils respectively. Wizards of the Coast likes to give Fiends a lot of love.
      the one gripe I have is that they only provide stat blocks for one Archdutchess of the Nine Hells (being Zariel), but you can homebrew the others using information provided in the books and using Zariel or another stat block as a base.

    • @gasgy
      @gasgy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@idontno6d105 I didnt check descent into avernus yet, but i already use some informations of Mordekainen's tome of Foes.
      Yeah i try to homebrew and use what we already have, but his videos normally bring more information that just 5e and are more easy and dinamic to learn ahahshaha.
      And i think that right now, the vibe of the demons and devils is better in my campaign because brings a sensation that is more caotic. And i can put enemies directly coming from there, sometimes depending on the level of the party i can even try to bring the demon lord itself or his avatar. But i dont imagine my players going against the strongest gods...

    • @TheMrboredperson
      @TheMrboredperson 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@gasgy There are some useful info in the 3.5 books. The Fiendish Codex 1 "Hordes of the abyss" details Popular demon Lords and a few Lesser known ones and gives stats for all of them., i.e. Pale Night Mother of Demons, Malcanthet Queen of the succubi, Kostchtchie Prince of Wrath, Dagon Prince of the Depths, and the Fiendish Codex 2 "Tyrants of the Nine Hells" details all nine layers of hell and their Lords pre Zarial. The first Fiendish Codex also Names 663 layers of the Abyss and their rulers but does not give stats for them all.
      The Book of Vile Darkness also has some info but to a much lesser degree although it does mention that if you want the Demon or Archdevil to have a organized religion giving them a rank 1 in divine power and adjusting accordingly would be the best option. Demons Lords are typically powerful enough to grant powers to a cleric that worships them similar to Lady Lolth before her ascension to proper godhood although she had an organized religion. Archdevils are in similar vain although they have risen above the rank of Pit Fiend, the highest normally attainable for a devil, to the point where they could almost challenge a Lord of one of the Nine Layers.

    Just a note for you Mr Rhexx. Cairns are stacked stone formations, not raised earth mounds. They are used by some as alters of worship, or as memorials, or as landmarks. if you look at those maps, there are actual art elements representing the cairns on several of the mapped earth mounds such as the Morgur's Mound map, and others such as the oaktree map appear to be circles drawn implying a burial mound atop the earth mound.
