Had to look twice at this van as about a year ago I sold it ( 2008 E350) to a navy dude who was going to do what you just did! Same color, same front end, same extension and windows!
alas you're not him, but that's ok. This is one beefy van ( lifted or not) it'll go just about anywhere. We had a double bed we installed and a 50 amp battery. Camped overnight at Bandelier national park( NM) Used use cpaps and about 0400 battery went dead! Woke up and realized we needed another 50 amps. You've got a great start on your system. I like your shower setup! We sold it and bought a sprinter that was about 75% complete. Another $25k finished it. We're in the State east of you . Abq! I subbed to see your adventures, maybe see you on the road!

@@MichaelWilliams-ro9bm that’s awesome, yeah I was lucky enough to to get a ford transit high roof diesel to work out if for a couple years through my contract with KLIM and loved the size of that van. I kept my adv and/or plated dirt bike inside and still had room for my sales samples, personal items and plenty of room to sleep comfortably.
I grew up racing motocross in SoCal and loved using the cargo vans for ability to lock stuff up at the track, and sleep next to my bike inside etc. this van will get a basic action van lift soon and I have a set of new black rhino rims with falken wild leak tires just waiting to get installed after the lift.
The vans are super capable in stock trim but the lift is fun as far as better ride and ability to go a bit deeper with the extra ground clearance.
Thanks for subscribing, I will be just sharing random life and from time to time out together van and motorcycle related meet ups through this avenue
      Stay safe out there …

    Lookin good out there!
You brought up a good topic I’m really VERY interested in, which is leaving the vans unoccupied in a remote area for the day or likely multiple days safely.
I’m daydreaming of parking the van and adventuring out on the Motorcycles maybe even a BDR section for days at a time. So I imagine the best option would be using a payed campsite with a camp host would be the safest scenario?
Lots of anxiety about leaving our Vans with all of our gear unattended unfortunately… I do have a very nice alarm and always put a club on the steering wheel just to at least slow the bad guys down at a minimum.

@@holdfast4588 yeah I think a 10 dollar a night camping fee at a campground with a host on site is worth it to leave the vans at just for piece of mind.
I’ve met some really great people out here living the nomad lifestyle over the years but there will always be low life opportunist that have no values or respect for other peoples property willing to poach all your items and somehow justify that scumbag existence ….

Not bad setup for a bigginer.
If you really want to look cool tho, you need to lift the van, other wise you run the risk of looking like a poser.

@@johncarter9054 haha well there are a lot of parking lot queen vans sitting on lift kits going absolutely nowhere near actual dirt roads out there, especially on TH-cam.
I have another van with action van lift kit and rear locker on it that does very well off road. The vans are extremely capable in stock trim but some larger tires and better ground clearance are great additions if you really like to get deeper off the pretty and groomed fire roads …..

@@MichaelWilliams-ro9bm I saw that, a think a bit of sarcasm
I’ve been camping my whole life I’m actually an Eagle Scout, been traveling this country and Canada over 20 years, camped off motorcycles for several years while riding over 30k miles per year on various adventures bikes, I’ve owned over 10 vans and slept and camped out of most of them off and on during out of town work contracts, family exploration trips and while chasing the dream racing motocross since 1998 so yeah ….. just a beginner 😂
