I take it that sucks is your favourite word😂😂.i think the world raid is a better bike for range.
@@derrickmurphy9859 nope, just a way to attract attention to the video …. and so far it seems to have worked out pretty well with this many views and comments with a whole 3 or 3 people actually subscribed to this channel…
Kawasaki klr650 hve to be a worse seat than the Tenere 700.yamaha xjr 1300 seats were bad too.
@@derrickmurphy9859 most stock seats are pretty damn uncomfortable, plus I like a tall seat on most of my bikes seams like they are always too short or sitting to deep in the bike …
If everything about the bike sucks why did you buy it? Did you do research or test ride?
@@Rockell479 for the record I mention in the second sentence of this video that I actual like this bike. I knew exactly what I was buying and am familiar with the engine and the larger displacement versions on the Yamaha mt’s ets. I bought the bike knowing I will be modifying it to suit my riding style and usage, the video could have been titled “inexpensive parts that allow the T7 to be affordable” but that would have garnered very little attention etc It’s a great platform, priced right for todays market, fun to ride but mostly average in most categories in stock form, which most likely will suit a majority of the buyers out there, and others will modify due to needs, desires or just to make the bike look cool etc
@ after seeing your vid I test rode a new 2024 T7 yesterday as I’ve been looking at them. It was pretty underwhelming, granted it was in Florida on straight boring streets with traffic where i couldn’t really open it up much. And I had just test road a Scrambler 1200xe back in Arkansas where I could open it up on fun roads.. so it wasn’t quite a fair comparison.. but I have to say all the low / mid range torque of the scrambler was a lot of fun
I test road a tenere 700 today and I wasn’t impressed. It was brand new and the shifter was having issues down shifting
@@Rockell479 I haven’t had any noticeable shifting issues other than occasionally when coming to a stop still rolling I get down to neutral and the neutral indicator light goes on then off and I’m no longer in neutral however I’ve caught it each time and still had the clutch engaged. The bike is super fun to ride but very unimpressive in many areas in stock trim and even after a few mods still not overly impressive anywhere etc
Wonder was that down to the motorcycle shop that built it from the crate because I've rode several and never had that problem. Ride another.
@@derrickmurphy9859 couldn’t tell you, and hasn’t hindered my riding experience though ….
Its not perfect, but it just sucks for you.
@@JohnHardiman-d5t I could agree with you less …. 😂 The bike is awesome, and I never sactuallt ever say that it sucks …. Nice clean simple setup I’d rock it for sure! Is it all wheel drive? I’m not too familiar with transits. Looks like a Mountain biker owns it by a particular sticker I noticed = Crankbrothers. Probably a stealth MTB hauler build! I believe Ford recently released a new Trail model that is already lifted to compete with the Sprinter platform.. It sucks Our Econolines are getting OLD! To buy a new ADV bike and expect it to have top level parts is unrealistic, no matter the brand. I always plan on spending an additional $3-5K to build a bike that meets my needs. Most people buying these bikes do not change anything, so the brand will always try and keep the price low and affordable.

@@Rzv-333 I was. Expecting some color degradation on the carbon overtime just not that quickly, and I’m planning to get some smaller blinkers for this bike regardless but also did not o tend to melt the stick ones, I thought it was in the clear until I saw the results on my first test ride ….
The part in the bake of the muffler or outlet is a baffle. I'd take the baffle out. It is probably too restrictive with it in. This is probably why it gets hot at the end of the pipe. The hot air can't escape fast enough. To stop it from melting the blinker....just make it a couple of inches longer. I swear these mufflers from Aliexpress are made in the exact same factory.
@@justmyself1000 I agree there are several options on there that all look the same I’m gonna open up that baffle to see if the parts are removable etc ….
It is removable. Just take the screw out from underneath in that hole and the baffle will come out.

@@georgikukov5129 both great ideas, and I’m taking those suggestions to heart! I already did a previous video on the sound of this muffler, I was merely updating the fitment and side effects of this inexpensive exhaust set up.
Will this exhaust play nicely with your Tusk soft panniers?
@@holdfast4588 I have that saddle type base they come with so there is no contact or side effects from heat as of yet with maybe 4 hours of rinding while using them. I want to grab a set of those aluminum side racks that eventuate Tomek has on his T7 for a synch point and better support, just trying to keep the weight down as much as possible though.
Bike is coming along nicely. Can’t wait to see its final form!!! So Do you need to re flash the ECU for this exhaust? Will it be running lean now? The T7 is actually my first fuel injected bike. My other two motorcycles are relics that could probably be in a museum…. As my friends say 😂
@@holdfast4588 I’ve heard that most of the T7 are fine with just a slip on, however full exhaust with header pipe needs remap. So far feels same, sounds better and no nasty deceleration pops etc

Does the 2024 Yamaha Tenere 700 just absolutely suck as an adv bike? Yes it does, Especially at the price they are asking. Over-marketed, over-hyped and over-priced. It's an average bike at a premium price. It has issues no bike that price should have. Here in Australia they go for about AUD$25K. That's about what bikes that actually great mid-sized Adv like Norden 901 and Triumph Tiger 900 RP go for! Unfortunately the T7 has a cult like groupie following of people brainwashed by a marketing campaign that refuse to see or ignore those issues while chanting "but it's reliable" because they can't admit they got ripped off. Suspension, rear axle handling, high CoG, range and economy, exhaust protrusion, attachment of same to main frame, seat comfort for and Adv vs Enduro bike) and on-road handling all vary from lackluster to shitty. Is it an "OK" Adv bike? Yes. Is it worth AUD$25K compared to what else you can get for that much? No fucking way.
Damn $25k that sounds extra expensive is Australia! Yep i knew what i was buying and it fits my current needs with a few nessacary mods, but it does seem like most of the people that review the T7 are a little high on the ...... shit already bought it may as well get others to join the cult type gushing enthusiasm. Mine will work out for me but its definitely not a one of a kind, or never been done before ride of my life experience etc ......
I just watched your review on the Tenere, I get where your coming from and get the humor. I’m looking into getting one as a more capable ADV bike. I bought a brand new DR650 in 2022, and pretty much knew that I was going to make a lot of upgrades. And you’re right, many things on my DR sucked. I haven’t added up the cost of all the upgrades, but it’s way more than I should have paid. But, I’m pretty close to getting exactly the bike that I wanted. There is not much left that is stock, and really that’s part of the fun of buying and owning a motorcycle. I just consider any bike I buy as a canvas that will allow me to build what my vision of the perfect (or close to it) bike is. I would say that many thing’s on my DR650 sucked when I got it, but it is now a fairly capable middleweight ADV bike, and will most likely never be finished until the day I sell her and start on another bike. Enjoy your ride, and stay safe.
@@1nikonshooter agreed, I’ve modified every bike I’ve owned over the years, and although expensive it’s a great way to spend money to get a custom tailored bike set up for your own riding desires. The T7 is a great bike stock and a great platform to modify into a very capable light weight ADV exploring machine ..
@ My wife thinks I have some sort of disorder, I don’t know, maybe I do! Like I told her several times, I’m always looking for my next motorcycle, and that will probably never change. I found a 2024 Tenere at the local shop, I’m going to try to go and take it for a test ride maybe this weekend. Who knows if I like it well enough, I might just have to make some more room in the garage.

Greetings, As always another excellent detailed video production 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲 How is the vibration, the heat from the engine, do you think you are going to need handle bar risers? Thank you so much for assisting me in my new motorcycle purchase. Keep producing more videos about the T7
@@rosarioroberto5823 I recently came off a 2016 ktm 690 enduro so compared to that bike the T7 has barely any if any handle bar vibration that I’ve noticed. I plan to run a slightly higher bar bend like a CR high motocross type bend handle bar just due to personal bend preferences from past years of motocross racing but no plan for higher bar risers at this time etc. The motor puts off very little heat to the rider, I was actually trying to warm up my gloves/hands while riding the other day by placing them near the motor and was wishing that thing would give off more heat actually! 🤣
