I took mine for the first ride. Never been on an ebike before. Best ride I've ever taken! I'm a believer. I just put it in auto, and 30 miles later I'm amazed. Low cadence torque is outstanding. Nice quiet ride that is very natural feeling.
I also put on a Redshift suspension seatpost, switched out the cheap pedals, and upgraded to a Ritchey stem and handlebar with a set of Ergon grips. For the price of $1200 it made easy for all these upgrades
I also got a CrossCore RC. I looked up these tires on the CST website and it does appear that these tires have decent spec's such as having built in 3 MM puncture protection shield.
Thank you for posting this video. I went round and round with Yamaha when trying to order this bike as they do not have any local shops that sell it in my area of Florida. I finally found a dealer that would ship it to me and it should be here this Friday. You mentioned that I should put greese on the pedals before screwing them in is there a specific type of grease I should buy to do this? Plus is there anything else I should buy to have ready when I assemble the bike. Thank you again for the video liked and subscribed!
Does your handlebar have a right/left asymmetry to it? On mine, the left side comes out straight. The right side starts straight but about halfway, it is angled back towards the rider. There is no evidence that the bar got bent in shipping. Thanks.
@@InfiniteMishaps Yeah, it somehow got messed up. I pulled the bar and worked it with a pipe bender. All is fine now. Looking forward to the first ride.
I just bought the same bike. The tires are absolute garbage! Did you replace tires and if so, what did you go with? I'm going to put a set of Pathfinder Pros 27.5 X 2.2
@@ethanhu7048 no need to grease anything. Even the pedals don’t require it, but it’s helpful if you ever want to swap them down the road. Everything else should be greased from the factory. Torque wrenches are never a bad thing. That said I don’t have one. Just don’t hulk out on bolts. Bikes don’t need that much torque on the bolts to stay together. You will at times need to check for tightness but it’s few and far between.
Curious which size you went with? Lookin to order one for my partner. None of our local dealers have them in stock. The geo numbers make me think the frame sizes run small. Thanks for any insight, have fun on it!
@@MrPerattzi I went with a large. I am 6ft, it feels just right for me. I will most likely get a stem the same length as the Crosscore and put it on my Wabash. It’s much more comfortable for me.
Do you mind posting dimensions of the box it came in? I will be picking it up next weekend and need to make sure it fits in my Subaru. Also have read assembly manual and had steps for connecting all cables and hoses which was a bit confusing. Looks like you didnt have to do any of that and your handlebar came with display, bell, reflector and all cables and hoses pre-installed which is nice.

Hello. I live in Türkiye. I became a Yamaha Crosscore owner on October 2nd. I bought it for 58000 in Turkish lira. How many dollars did you have? I traveled approximately 400 km. A very nice e-bike. Have a nice day, my friend.

Glad to hear it! I love mine too, it’s exhilarating.

@@Martin_HD28 nice, I’ll have to check these upgrades out myself.
Can you share some links for those upgrades?
Thanks for the video! I just received mine today and got it set up in no time on my lunch break. Charging now...
Right on! Enjoy the ride!
Thanks. Waiting for mine to arrive.
Hope you enjoy it! Report back once you get it set up and going.
Very thorough and informative. I'm about to assemble mine next week.....Thank you !
Good luck, hope you enjoy it! Report back with your thoughts post ride. I love the speed it provides.

@@richardstanford9095 a set of Allen wrenches. As for the pedals, just about any dab of grease will do the trick.

@@weekenddistractions sorry mine is not bent as you described. It’s a flat bar that tapers a bit from middle to the end.

@@Martin_HD28 I find they are okay so far. Not great, but good enough I’ll wear them out before swapping.
For a new bike owner, do yopu recommend a torque wrench (if so, which one)? Also, should you grease everything that is being assembled?
