Thank you for sharing! If you want to lighten up that wood, sometimes if you set it in a window in direct sunlight, overtime it will naturally lighten up
You can also cook rocks to bring out the colors but since its not a natural heat such as thermo, or UV, then its often considered artificial... making it controversial. Im going to do a video on it soon...stir the pot 😂
@ I have a rock I cooked on accident! My husband has a vibratory tumbler but it’s for metal I think, IDK - I commandeered it and this rock got wedged in there for a few hours. Lots of friction. Science!! I want to cut the damaged cooked part off the rock and see if it’s still tasty on the inside. I have a feeling it’s going to be fracture city, but I really like the rock and back then I didn’t have a rock saw.
I definitely see the bison!! Technically not a buffalo, sorry, the critter geek jumped out of me 😕. That's beautiful pet wood.❤ Never seen those colors before, but that means absolutely nothing, believe me.
It does sound like you may be local to me out here in Astoria Oregon. If we're close we should collab on a rockhound trip next year, spring if interested.
