One of the things i Love learning history, is how farmers made do with what they had. The contraptions they came up with to perform their duties is Amazing to behold. Similar to you. In watching your videos, you not only show what you build in the way of cars. You also include us to watch you MacGyver stuff together to make them functional for your purposes. Giving us a glimpse into how you adapt & reuse whats old, to make them new & use them to maintain your vehicles. Ty for taking us along as you move into your new shop

Of course I'll be glad when you get back to your builds, but I also know it's a process 😎👍

Brother, beautiful shop! One thing regarding the water table is If you cut aluminum with the plasma cutter make sure there is no air gap under the sheet. It can explode because you produce hydrogen. No bueno. I also grab an old speaker magnet and created a hook to fish out the peaces. When you maintenance and drain the water, the mag help you catch all the metal residue.

I don't cut much aluminum but that is good to know

When I had my garage built I had an enclosed mezzanine similar to what you are doing. One of the smarter things I did was to have a double door access installed where I could load a pallet of heavy things and pass them through the doorway using my forklift. I was 50 years old when I did that and now that I'm in my 70's I am really glad I did that back then. Things get heavier with age!

I used to be a removal man. I used to move people's homes every day of the week. I know how stressful it can be and it can just take a day to move but can take a few weeks to settle in. At least you are under one roof with everything and are doing great.
It is great to see the shop coming along.

Brent, for me, your appeal is that you are so humble. A real down to earth man. Confident in everything you do, but also confident enough to share and own your mistakes. (Which, by the way, most of us wouldn't catch). Loved seeing you rely on Esther to help with the wiring. Not sure if you have OSHA in Canada, but Esther is definitely certified now. You are so deserving of everything that is the new shop. Never got to see you set up the old one. The new adventures will mean more to me seeing it all come together. Merry Christmas to you, Esther and family.

It’s a job after a tragedy. You did amazing things in the small shop. And finally after all this. Got the new shop put together. It’s going to be great as you are. And keeping a positive attitude throughout all this had to be hard. But, got to have your shop where you lay your hands on the tools and things you need. A big job in itself. Yet you’re still positive and laughing, about what you do. Love y’all to death. And a forever fan of you and Esther. Merry Christmas 🎄

All things considered, this was a pretty quick turnaround on the shop. It is looking great! I do have a couple of suggestions though. First: Between the 1st and second roll-up doors, you should put a mini-Starbucks, you know a little jump start on your day when you first come into the shop. Second: Maybe a small McDonald's over in the corner by the refrigerator for a little snack when you need one, when you are working late and haven't made it into the house for dinner, when you have the kids out to help you. Just a couple of thoughts. Looking good. We can talk about the playground later. 😃

I know that you must still be thinking about all the tools used in shaping stuff, like the different anvils and hand tool dollies that are used so many ways. I know it looks like a ton of space yet somehow its always never enough for everything we use in building stuff. Your just a work in progress, the memories will make themselves. New memories and good things yet to happen

Setting up a new shop is always a time-consuming affair. Trial-and-error is usually the best way to get it right. You can see countless examples of 'how to set up your shop' out there. But in the end it's gotta work for you and your way of doing things. I still mess around with my shop and I've been in that space over 20 years. Be safe and stay well.
