Adding another quart adds like 16% more oil from 6 to 7 qts and that should help with longer life and dilution just on the actual volume being more! Nice video
Was that last oil test the motorcraft or the Amsoil OE? Also it might not be a bad idea to use something like the Amsoil Flush and P.I to clean spark plugs so less gas goes unburned. Even something as minor as switching to 93 octane . A lot of those truck engine do better at a higher octane because of compression ration but are rated for lower octane so that the motor companies can sell more trucks. Shell V-power(93) is the best Top tier gas out there.
This video was Amsoil 5W30 OE. The last video was motorcraft. I’d like to try fuel additives but I’d like to do one variable every oil change interval to see results. I could see Amsoil PI helping with complete burn. How would Amsoil flush help with cleaning spark plugs? I change spark plugs and coil boots on this truck around every 50k. I’ve seen these trucks are hard on spark plugs when working at Ford.
@@showmerepair Sorry if I said that wrong, The Amsoil P.I. would help with the fuel injectors! To hopefully help with unburnt fuel and/or blow-by. The Amsoil Flush might not help as much as the P.i. or Power Foam. The Amsoil Power Foam is really useful treatment for gdi engines to clean valves.
@@showmerepair Ford boss me (Ford mechanic on yt) also out a video on how using the higher octane (93) let's the blow by especially in the newer Ford Ecoboost.
@@blacklilac1408 No worries. Definitely help keep the injectors clean. I did not do the oil flush because I’ve owned this truck since new and have done every oil change. Before the bypass oil filter kit I always ran 5w30 motorcraft and change oil at 5k. I didn’t feel oil flush was needed.
I’ve seen FordBossme videos. I’ll have to watch the video where he talks about it. I just installed the catch cans on the truck. The video will be out later this week. I’ll make sure to run premium for a 5k oil change to test that theory. It makes sense but would love to see the out come.
