EXR, I totally love your easy to follow install videos; I just swapped out my DualSense’s buttons, triggers, trim, and thumb sticks, my controller looks phenomenal now.
my 16 week old rottweiler puppy chewed on my dualsense thumbsticks when I was sleeping and luckily i seen these thumbstick replacements on amazon for $9.99 instead of $69.99 for a new controller the video was very easy to follow and now my controller looks like new again thanks!!!
Gotta say this is an excellent video. It worked great on my install. One thing worth noting is I used the metal joystick and you really have to force them in. Like felt like something would snap but they will pop on. Thank you.
Thanks for the video instructions! My purchase arrived today and I had the new thumbsticks on within a half hour! Definitely would recommend using a small flathead screwdriver for the 3:00 take apart. Gently pry with it, especially towards the top of the controller. The little blue tool wasn't quite enough to get it done for mine at that part. But all in all, it's a great step by step video on what to do!

@@reecetibey1466 my gf bought me a controller for Christmas so I’ve been using that. But I guess it depends how much you value your time, if you have the patience and time then replace it, if you don’t wanna deal with it then the new controller might be your move.

3:09 those clips are really strong and broke my plastic tool. You might want to consider CAREFULLY using a flathead screwdriver or butter knife. They really fight ya

@@ExtremeRatedo you have to force them joysticks on or do they go on as easy as the original..? Because I bought a set an they don’t stay on they simply fall off ..1 pair don’t even fit at all
What a pain this is! Finally replaced my knobs and got everything back together and now the buttons don’t work properly. Sony should have used better material that isn’t made to fall apart. I see the new dualsense edge controller has easy to replace knobs of course….

I blame kontrol freekz for ruining my sticks but this never happened with the ds4’s durable stick material.
I watched this entire video and thought thats too many steps and if you just take the front panel off where the sticks are you can just pull the stick off without doing any of this very easily it took me 10 seconds to do
I just pulled them out after taking off the face step one. lol Why do you make people go through all of this when they pull out easily?

I could not reattach those tiny flex cables at the bottom. The second one came off, and I don't know where it was connected. Another video said it was just the microphone, which I don't use. I'm going to try putting it back together without the cable.
I might just need to buy a new controller. 😢

Swapped my sticks out after the rubber started spinning and split open on the Left stick.
While an easy video, and now I know how to replace the analog sticks, this did absolutely nothing to solve my drift stick issue.
This video is not to fix the stick drift, ya dingus… its to replace the sticks🤦♂️

If it wasn’t for the music I would be losing my shit haha. I can’t split the case apart after undoing the screws at the bottom.
If you have short nails and stubby fingers like i am, use small pointy pliers or at least tweezers, its hard to grasp firmly those plastic electric tapes. And grab it by handles, not a tape itself

I had metal thumbsticks and followed this video and one would always stick is that something I'm doing wrong or bad parts
I don't care about "cool" colors, what I want to know is, does the grip texture on your sticks last longer than the original sticks?
Just put them on, it's more of a molded/textured plastic than rubber skin, so not as grippy but I expect it will last longer as it won't tear like the rubber
I just tried replacing mine but they aren't working properly, after I installed I wiggled them and they felt fine but after putting face plate back on they don't move back to their original positions after I move them. I put the originals back on no issues so it's not me
Will tutorial be the same if I were to replace the thumbsticks in my aim controller?

I've just bought these but my left thumb stick,(analog seems to stick,) have I done anything wrong or has anyone else experienced this and what should I do,feedback would be great because they look fab
I had the same issue with the left thumbstick, so had to switch back to the original thumbsticks. The quality of the material is really poor, I guess the problem is with the friction. They dont fit to the controller as easy as the original ones.
I’m having that same issue but I don’t wanna go back to the rubber ones, is it only the metal ones that gives this problem?

SOMEONE HELP PLS. Does anyone know if my scuf sticks I have from my scuf impact(PS4 version) would work with my PS5 controller? I'm not buying the new PS5 scuf right now, if ever. The price is insane and they took over a year to release it. I'm really hoping that PS just comes out with a back button attachment for DS5 just like they did DS4. However, I'll settle for at least being able to install my concave textured scuf sticks into my DS5. Anyone know?

Please help me i installed the magnet version along with ammo metal buttons and rise remap kit on my Dualsense. I really love the material however the thumbsticks are sticky and gripping and move really slowly. I need a solution to fix this problem.

Doesn't really address what to do with the small flex cables at the bottom of the controller. Failed twice as a result of these over simplified instructions. Guess i'm buying a new one too. Getting my money back from Amazon.
This video was amazing my little cousin had just got a ps5 and the next day we were playing it and he had put his controller on the ground and the dog had chewed on one of the stick luckily caught her in the act and I told my auntie to order a new stick and I would replace it and then today I replaced it and my little cousin loves his new controller sticks!

Rubber wears down extremely fast. Min use.

@@ExtremeRate I ran into a problem I already have a controller with paddles from "aim controllers" so when I opened up the casing I think the inside of my controller where the batter is has extra things then this video shows and I dont wanna mess anything up, and I already bought the analog stick from you guys smh lol
@@giovanniruiz4292 Oh, then it's risky for you to install the analog sticks on the aim controller because you need to take off nearly everything, and if you are not good at DIY or remember things, you will possibly break the back paddles function
