    I have a 1998 stx 1100 and to say that i have more room in the engine compartment to work with than you would be an understatement.

    I'm definitely going!! Just got my 96 zxi 1100 going after sitting for 6 years!! Definitely run some seafoam through that first tank!

      Are you having a hard time finding parts needed for these JetSki’s? I just bought two 1995s. 900 ZX8. One runs pretty good but the trim doesn’t work. The other one stopped running looks like there’s not much fuel getting to the fuel filter.

      @@jeremyimes6734 no, not at all. There are parts still available for 2 strokers just gotta look

    I've found a plastic medical cyringe works well to, plug it on the end and pump it through, quick and very easy

    Wow i have a 97 1100 zxi and yours has so much more room to get that pump off.

    Another thing you can do if you don't want to remove the pump is drain your gas tank, and carbs, and put in a gallon of 50:1 mix. Flush the fuel lines on your reserve side. And prime the lines with 50to1 mix. Then run the engine on reserve side with the flush attachment .with water till you see the oil lines fill up. and oil come out in to the intake. To much oil won't hurt a two stroke. Then just either drain or top the tank off with fresh non ethanol gas.

      Yes that sure was my other option. Thanks 😊

    priming would have worked faster if you had the throttle wide open to open the flow rate for the pump.

    Awesome video brother, very helpful 👍. Do you remember where you picked up the oil line? Is it 1/8 inch? Thank you!

    • @BTR2018
      @BTR2018  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      O’rally usually has It in the back room. believe it is 1/8 oil lines and fuel lines are 6 mm or quarter inch

    Thanks for a cool detailed video. Definitely a huge help! Any chance you have a schematic or can give info on the three small hoses that come out of the bottom of the carburetor, to the fuel pump. Does it make a difference which one goes where? Thanks in advance,
    Frank

      Can you please tell me which one goes where? Starting from the left which is the longest is there anyway to tell me which location they go. I just picked up the ski and all the lines were dry rotted. I have no clue which one goes where. Thanks for responding.

    what is the benefit of priming the oil system?

    • @BTR2018
      @BTR2018  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Basically, if you don’t prime the oil system, and when you go to start it, it will be just running on pure fuel and will seize up your motor or blow it up because the fuel is not getting any oil in the mixture.

  • @tylerthrash3155

    What if you just block of the oil feed lines and just 2 stroke mix your fuel?

    • @BTR2018
      @BTR2018  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That’s gonna be a lot of two-stroke pre mixed especially if you ride a whole day you’re gonna bring a lot of gas with you and a lot of gas cans that you will have to pre-mix. It’s gonna suck.
