  • On this episode of Chopping Samples join me as I chop up a sample, work towards building a beat and then stick around in the end for a surprise lofi remix with that beat. Definitely an episode that starts in one direction and ends in a totally different direction. As always thank you for watching and listening.
    My videos generally have too many samples for real monitzation on TH-cam, if you would like to support the channel please consider making a donation at

    That space to breath with no snare and no hats and the looped chop was a great move! It really gave a new feel to the sequence. Another great beat! 🔥🔥🔥

    I come from mod tracker scene and I’ve always used one shots and midi for everything. I’m learning MPC sample chops from you. This great stuff keep styling man. Peace

    i don't now if u knew this, but u can fit any sample to any bpm by just using the time stretch feature !
    by the way cool video like all your video and also dope beat !

    • @BirdBoss
      @BirdBoss  ปีที่แล้ว

      The stretch feature for me never gets the results I like unfortunately, maybe I’m not using it right :/

      @@BirdBoss the trick is to have exactly chops 1,2 beats, or 1,2,4,816 bars, is you just cut the chops randomly with out making sure they are a beat or bars, the timestretch wont work correctly, so yeah the trick is to make sure chops or loops exactly by beats or bars for it to work, trust me once you understand how it work you wont stop using it, also you can start by chopping a 2,4 or 8 loop exactly by the bars amd then you chop that loop by using the not the transient or lazy Autochop, but the EQUAL AUTOCHOP by 4,8 or 16 equal chops, that will help you understand how it work!!
      by the way you can pitch up or down the loop before the chop, and also you don't have ever worry about finding the bpm, i never do worry about the bpm as long that i have a perfect loop and chops

      Great tip I really got to sit with it and figure it out, I’m working on a new project that’ll be out soon and hearing you talk about how it works would’ve helped SO much lol

      @@BirdBoss i hope you get how it work because once you do understand it you will be using it all the time, plus it will open up so many door for so many new techniques that which will change everything on how you work with samples !

    Is this before the auto chop feature?

    • @BirdBoss
      @BirdBoss  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      After but I always found auto chop to be clunky I’ve gone into it in other videos but I prefer manual chopping. Auto chop especially lazy mode I have to go and fix the start points often
