@@BESTHOMETIPS. I like everyone's video that put time n effort into it. I don't actually have a mosquito problem but this in general is helpful if you ever need a way to have lighting n you lost power n only have what's around your house. But I'm sure it helps with mosquitoes too. Thnx for the helpful tips n making it simple
I've read the wiki, caffeine is nature pesticide so almost bugs hate it "but caffeine is relatively highly polar ;It’s unlikely that it’s soluble in oils". I don't think it work since we just burning oil. Further more burned fat give acrolein which is toxic and give odor surely not good for our health (surely bugs hate it too) Maybe fatty acid and acrolein break down from oil help dissolve caffeine in cooking oil but it not worth to risk your health. I think just put coffee in the canvas bag is ok
Same here. The oil got into the lid and it sank into the bottle. Then I added wax into the lid but it also sank. Just doesn't work 🤔🤷🏽♂️🤦🏽 and I bet you 100% we will never get a reply 🤨😤
thank you so much for this helpful tip. My flatulance actually stopped. Although there is still a horrible smell in the air, I can not hear the sound of the viabrating cheeks....ohhh wait wrong video
Bought jars, wicks. Wicks disappeared 30sec later. Bought long wicks, new (fresh) bttl of cooking oil. Made " bttl" cap lists out of aluminum (metal caps fell through). Do l need to put wax under the wick "holder"?
You don't need a metal lid necessarily you just need something that floats even plastic if the sides are up. I learned this because they sell these in stores to use cooking oil as candles. Once the oil burns it goes out on its own if the tail stays in the oil.
I saw one that did this and added cloves to the wax mixture of coffee grounds. they melted down the candles with coffee then added cloves reused the same wick centered it with 2 clothes pins until it cooled.
The beer cap didn't work. I did have success with tin foil shaped to the size of the inside of the jar. The tin foil submerged just enough not to sink. About 1/8" and kept the wick lit.
Thanks for the tip! I don't have any beer tops, so this is perfect. I'm more of a wine gal. But omg, do NOT do the wine bottle citronella diy. Lots of ppl had theirs explode in the comments. I thought it looked like it could be dangerous when it gets low on oil. Too much space between the wick and the oil, I guarantee it.

I was putting a torches flame straight into the coffee grounds TO BURN IT.... Or I JUST MAKE jars OF COLD COFFEE and leave them open. It didn't help 😆😆😆
I've tried to burn straight coffe grounds by using lighters and torches putting the flames directly on the grounds. It seemed like it wanted to work, but the flame would burn out, which is what we want, but the embers would always burn out really quickly after the flame was out. I want the grounds to smolder which would let off the smoke needed. But, they don't smolder for more than a minute and it's only a very small portion of the grounds that even show the embers. I've tried spraying and mixing around the grounds with rubbing alcohol, which actually did work to keep a flame but once the alcohol burned off, that was the end of it. Soo, then I tried using broken up toothpicks and very small broken up twigs and tree bark with the rubbing alcohol in hopes that the wooden sticks would be able to burn long enough to cause the grounds to smoke and smolder and that the embers from the small pieces of wood would also cause embers themselves to help burn the grounds. I just can't get the embers to remain burning the grounds. I've even dried them out in the microwave for a few mins and then the oven for a good hour-hour and a half. Soo, I guess I'm gonna try this in hopes I can get something to keep the mosquitoes and other bugs away so I can actually enjoy sitting on my back deck in the evenings whenever i want without having to spray bug spray all over me or constantly having to light and spend money on citronella for the candles and constantly worrying about running out.
Did you know you can live forever? Jesus, the Son of God, gave His life for us. He was sacrificed for our sins and was resurrected. Repent, follow Jesus, and live forever! He loves you, and has made a new home for you in Heaven! - If you want to learn more about Jesus and how to live forever, check out the Gospel (the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) within the New Testament of the Holy Bible. Each book is an eyewitness account of the miracles He performed, His death, resurrection, and His promise to you!
If you're a consistent coffee drinker like me Take your spent grounds, add some flour and water, scoop and compress into pellets or use a silicone molding tray (I use a nerds rope silicon tray to make sticks) bake at 200 for an hour, test burn to make sure they are completely dry, adjust time if needed

Why does my WIC keep on going out?
My wick, from a candle, burnt down and disappeared. The metal lid disappeared into the oil. Was l supposed to put wax into the lid first?
