Totally works. I live in a 20+ year old apartment complex (in Texas) that is on a preservation. They recently renovated the balconies. Roaches and ants literally came out of the woodwork. Baking soda took care of them along with spiders…within 2 weeks. I saw less of all each day. I am grateful for baking soda. Abundant Blessings everyone ✨😇✨
@ Namasté, I put some mixed with xylitol as I did not have sugar (many say powdered works best) in areas I saw ants. This was very effective. Ants were trailing to and from my Zero Water filter pitcher. They were always inside, crawling around the filter. I even set a little container of filtered water near their entrance to deter them from my filter, they ignored it and kept going for the filter. When I changed out the filter, I set the old one up in a container for them, they loved that lol…so something in those filters draws them in. I started adding limonene oil to the water (in the pitcher) as it filtered…simply for extra purification. I was pleasantly surprised and elated that the oil COMPLETELY got rid of the ants. Apparently, they hate it even more than cinnamon and other oils. So now I keep my counters etc wiped down with it as well as adding some to the mop water for the floors. I added it to the spray bottle and spray this periodically around doors and toe kick. I do not like to kill but I was overwhelmed and needed/wanted all creepy crawlers evicted which is why I initially used the baking soda. I used only baking soda in every carpeted room, under ALL appliances in the kitchen, along doorways etc. To this day, I only see a rando ant (thank goodness that’s all) and when I do, it’s limonene oil to the rescue and 💨…they are gone. I hope you find a solution that works for you. Divine Blessings✨😇✨
Growing up whenever I was stung by a bee- my mother always took some baking soda and just enough water to mix into a paste or mud like consistency and cover the area stung ( making sure there is no stinger left of course) & had me hold the paste there with my hand or washcloth or whatever for maybe 10 or so minutes and the baking soda "magically sucks the poison out and takes away the pain"! 😆 But it really works! Also another remedy but messier in case you dont have b soda on hand is do the same thing with dirt & water making actual mud and cover the sting with a handful of mud to draw out the poison as well! Both have been tried & true my whole life and my childs life as well. tried

@@erinkalb9523hi, DE is not toxic to them, like peppermint oil for example. You have to take some precaution when applying, as inhaling the dust is irritating - but not toxic. It's in fact safe enough to use on cats/dogs fur to naturally kill fleas and ticks if they have them. Personally I prefer this over heavy and harsh chemicals, whenever possible. I have found this very effective against ants in the summer indoors, given that not a single pesticide is safe for cats. I inquired several companies about what they use, also the popular DIY stuff that can be ordered online. These all contain the 'safe for pets' pyrethrins and pyrethroids; Cats are unable to metabolize (break down) these agents quickly and efficiently due to their peculiar liver metabolism. Safe with dogs, toxic to cats. So diatomaceous earth is still a safer option:) I know I wrote in length (sorry lol) but wanted to help with some info a fellow cat owner.

Lots of good info. Thanks. Arizona bark scorpions that are so poisonous are acvtually quite small. Western fire ants don't make mounds like the ones in the South. They come into my kitchen after meat and fat as in cat food or butter left on the counter.. Often we never find their hole outside.
The hornet one made me think of my Dad's old trick. He would have a big bucket of water with dish soap in it. Up above he would have a bbq rack type of set up eith some raw meat. They eat the raw meat then go down for a drink and the soap weighs them down and drowns them.
This is a good trick! However, the soap breaks the water’s surface tension and that causes the flies to sink. Normally, they’re able to stand on the surface, but the soap chemically changes the composition of the water with a corresponding lower surface tension.
THANK YOU! Every Fall our town is under attack by stink bugs. They’re all over our windows and doors. I had to use masking tape and tape off the frames to my window screens in my bedroom because they were somehow getting in through the screen and then through the closed windows. I’ve been hitting them with puffs of (food-grade) diatomaceous earth through my screens but that stuff doesn’t actually repel them, it just gives the lucky few a death sentence. I really needed a repellant, so I will be trying your mixture later this morning. I wanted to use something that was on the natural side, rather than adding more insecticides into the environment.
Dang! Somehow I just know this information will change my chemical-free (and therefore) bug-tormented life lol😅!!! THANK YOU SIR SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME TO SHARE THIS KNOWLEDGE🙏🏻🙌🏻
I live where our spring seasons are very damp & humid & the ants start rolling in. I battle them every single year. THANK YOU for this, I’m fumigating the house to be sure I get them all.
The part I don't like is attracting the pests to you by using sugar, for example. I had tiny ants in the kitchen which were originally brought in by the sugar bowl. Commercial traps did nothing so I spread the condiment cloves around the back of the counters and they disappeared overnight. It has been a couple of months and they're not back.
@@leafe-lu3jd please let me know if it works for you. I saw advertising on Internet for a product to kill bugs and I was ready to order. I read the 'natural' ingredients, one of them was cloves. I had old/dry cloves with the spices and spread them on window sill where I thought they were coming in, and at the rear of the counter tops. I would come into the kitchen in the middle of the night and turn on the lights and found one ant under the toaster. Since then, nothing. After a couple of weeks I spread the cloves outside under the window and fresh cloves on the counter tops. I have since removed them and cleaned up. Big jar of Badia cloves cost about $3.00 in a Latin market. Let's see how long it lasts but I'm ready.
Excellent plainspoken instructions and the pictorial will really help to identify them. I am going to work on some of these critters you mentioned. Thanks Again my friend.

But where our pet is we used the D- earth. It took a bit. We even put it all over her several times. Praise the Lord it worked! Great to know about baking soda too.
Borax is another one that is amazing. Sprinkle borax on carpet, leave an hour, vacuum it up. Also, you can use Borax for head lice. Shampoo, add handfuls of Borax, wait 15 minutes, rinse. It will dry hair, so condition with coconut oil.
I got rid of knats, and flies by hanging a jar of Vicks vapor rub with cloves inside the lamp shade on the knob, to hang the jar you can put it in a baby sock and attach a string to it like a handle , thank you for your time, I have a mouse in my house, I tried using the no kill trap ( which is very small) but it didn't work, the mouse would not go in it , I'm going to watch your video on the mouse trap next, hoping it's no kill 👍
I legit tried this cuz suddenly had bed bugs a couple years ago. I sifted the whole mattress with baking soda heavy and used somebed bug spray in the corners. Never had a problem since!!! It works!!
Thank you so much for a safer way to kill pests. Can you give more detail on how the peanut butter and baking soda gets rid of mice, please? How does that work, do they die in the container? Thank you!
The baking soda neutralizes the stomach acid in rodents which causes their stomach to swell up and rupture due to a build up of gas. Rodents lack the ability to burp or fart so they can't get rid of the pressure. They will perish but there's no telling how long it'll take or where they'll go before they expire
They don't die in the container. They eat the mix and go in their way. They eventually die because the baking soda swells up in them and they can't throw up so they die.
I also use Borax. In Florida they have a lot of bugs and this works also and is also very good for doing wash. Working with horses it get all different stains out grass, tough dirt, etc.
Great info. What I do for fire ants is simple. I pee on the mound. 2 to 3 days and they’re gone. Don’t know where they go, or if they die. All I know is my yard is fire ant free.
Thank you for these valuable tips. I prefer not to kill the spiders in the gardens as they usually kill scorpions and other bugs, but if they make it into my house, that’s it, they’re dead. No bugs in my home. We have scorpions more than any other bug in southern Nevada at least where I live. Diatomaceous earth works to damage their exoskeleton and kills them. You can usually find it at Home Depot or Lowe’s.
I love seeing the yellow garden spider we have on our sweet olive bush. Unfortunately my wife hates spiders inside. We try to keep them from coming inside. Cheers.
@@shimaohana yes, I found it works on spiders to my dismay so I’m careful about where I puff the DE (and when). Don’t use it when it’s breezy outside…the bees will die if it gets on them 😢.

I use baking soda but thanks for this video I've learnt so much from it.
Just sprinkle cinnamon around on n under counters, n it keeps ants away. Worked great in my kitchen.
Baking soda very helpful thank you
This sounds so much easier than the boric/sugar/water mix that had to be renewed every few days. I'm going to try this for my ant problem.
I have a problem with spiders and ants, I thank you for this information
I agree, rambling is enough to drive a listener insane. Great segment. Thank you.
I knew that baking soda could be used for a lot of things. My mom swore by the stuff. BUT THIS BUG THING IS AWESOME. THANK YOU FOR THE INFO
Wow, you are a wealth of knowledge
I just like finding alternate ways to do anything. Cheers

Will baking soda do anything to mites?
I’m at battle with them in my beautiful dog’s ears.
Thank you 🙏 so much!
Parasites 🦠 are Evil
Wow, this information is a God send, literally. Thanks for posting, sir!!!
Got it! Put baking soda all over my house.
W powder sugar 😂
😂😂😂😂
Lol! 😂
THANK YOU! for sharing this!🤗💖 It's definitely GOOD to know!👍👍
Why did I constantly think something was crawling on me watching this 😂😂😂😂 GREAT VIDEO minus the creepies 😅😅
Clove hub? I will try this.
Awesome.
For wasps and hornets, I've used a garden hose attachment filled with Dr. Bronner soap. Spray a stream of soapy water and they drown instantly.
Thank you, all natural and very informative
I did cornmeal and baking soda in small bowls around my house and it got rid of my mice
Do they die after eating?

Diatomaceous Earth works as well for all bugs in the garden almost lol
It works for fleas inside.
And sprayed out o the bed for bed bugs but wear a mask it can take your breath away
@@beckiwildeman600 I'm just using it for My Grow Room 🤷🏽♂️🤫...I just found out it can be sprayed🤦🏾♂️
I used this! Worked wonders in no time! Never saw another bug again!
Excellent plainspoken instructions and the pictorial will really help to identify them. I am going to work on some of these critters you mentioned. Thanks Again my friend.
I had fruit flies and and i use baking soda mixed with fairy liquid in a bowl and to my amazement it captured every fruit fly and got rid of them and i will never throw fruit in a pedal bin again.
I really like the way you show each pest, so now i know what a pill bug is, and others!!!! Thank You and may God Bless You!
This was very informative. Thanks for all the work you put into this. It is really well done. I'm going to try some of these.
THIS IS GREAT GOING TO TRY IT I HAVE ROACHES ANTS AND RATS SO WE SHALL SEE. I BOUGHT THIS OLD HOUSE 1890 IS WHEN IT WAS BUILT AND IT CANE LOADED. THANKS
Thanks
thank you for this. I need this for my silverfish during the fall season.
I have used Diatomaceous earth for a recent flea INFESTATION. We had to use real chemicals outside. They were literally jumping on you as you walked on the cement path! But where our pet is we used the D- earth. It took a bit. We even put it all over her several times. Praise the Lord it worked! Great to know about baking soda too.
Thanks so much for this wonderful remedy for bugs & mice
Borax is another one that is amazing. Sprinkle borax on carpet, leave an hour, vacuum it up. Also, you can use Borax for head lice. Shampoo, add handfuls of Borax, wait 15 minutes, rinse. It will dry hair, so condition with coconut oil.
Thank you for such practical, easy to use, no fluff advice! 🤗❤️🙏
A have a ton of ants and tiny cockroaches. Definitely trying this. Thank you so much!
Thank you sir! Much appreciated! Great post!😎

Great helpful tips for pest control with the use of baking soda as a base ingredient. Thank you!❤ Do you have any suggestion for repelant for lizards?
Be aware that Baking Soda is also lethal to squirrels, and they are protected in some areas.
@@tracyjohnson5023but the dead bodies stink, and they die in your home. Not good
BUT because they stink they're easy to find and dispose of...or you can just let them continue to live with you 🙂.
Thank you so much. I have small cockroaches in my kitchen, and I have severe allergies to chemicals, so this video is most welcome!
Glad I could help!
Thank you
The most useful video I've seen till now! Thank you, subscribed and saving this video, and will share it wide ❤😊
Me too!!
Youve saved my kife, bud. I love you!!!!! ❤️💯🤠💋👌🏿
I also use Borax. In Florida they have a lot of bugs and this works also and is also very good for doing wash. Working with horses it get all different stains out grass, tough dirt, etc.
Me too. But, baking soda so much cheaper I will try this next year for ants.😊
The widows cleaning thing for hoses is good to use that way too
Thank you so much for this! I have severely disabling chemical sensitivities, so for me, this is gold 🙏❤️
You’re welcome! Cheers!
Great info.
What I do for fire ants is simple. I pee on the mound. 2 to 3 days and they’re gone. Don’t know where they go, or if they die. All I know is my yard is fire ant free.
Did your neighbors leave too
If your pee kills ants think what it's doing to you
Followed your advice and I did get rid of my ants😊
I've liked & shared this video with ALL of my girlfriends! We hate & are scared of bugs, ESPECIALLY SPIDERS!! 😂😂😂
Thank You for the vital information and the Clear way of speaking and the instructions are awesome
Cheers.
Is that a liquid, spray or powder? I have big scary wolf spiders.
@@xInusHotiex it’s a powder. Not sure if it would work on spiders.
@@xInusHotiexAre they carrying their babies on their back? 😮
@@shimaohana yes, I found it works on spiders to my dismay so I’m careful about where I puff the DE (and when). Don’t use it when it’s breezy outside…the bees will die if it gets on them 😢.
Borax helps too
Excellent.
What a great and helpful video, thank you so much for this. I have saved this for future reference. I really like using baking soda, vinegar and salt for killing weeds and moss.
very useful information on pest receipe
This is brilliant. I tried diatomaceous earth to get rid of ants and it doesn't seem to be working. I have to place my pets' feeding dishes in a pan of water yo keep the ants out of the food.
Thank you for the information. I dug a trench 12 " deep around the house and and filled it
with diesel 30 yrs later tested and no termites.
Can you explain how to do this? Please.
Thank you for much needed information. We have a major issue with Japanese Beetles. They look similar to lady bugs but orangeish brown in color. They bite too. I'm trying this today!
A fan or hair dryer will help you fluff baking soda under plant leaves since its really light and floats easily.
