    We are back on the 2021 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss Overland Pickup truck project. We know what type of overland look and need we're going for but before we get to the cool camping stuff we have to start with the other cool stuff... Lift Kits! Not really a lift kit. Just a leveling kit to get rid of the ol' Chevy front Rake.

    You need take out the axel nut to be able to push the axel to clear the one side of the spacer 😉

    tore cv boot grease everywhere definitely does level the truck looks great, but beware must change UCA just spend the 650 and do it the right way ready lift 2.0’

    You need upper control arms. Trail boss already has factory lift when add more with out uca its to much lift front end is in to much of a bind.

    Lehhhvvelll. That is a small mod that is giving you big returns. Looks great. I think you’ll go with something aggressive. Maybe not an MT but something like a wrangler duratrac? Can’t wait to find out.

      @@ChurchieShed great video ! Question how is the cv axel angle and the control arm upper ? And can you fit 35’s ?

    • @ChurchieShed
      @ChurchieShed  ปีที่แล้ว

      The angle isn't terrible. Not like the old days of cranking the torsion bar. We fit 35s with a tiny bit of inner fender trimming. There's a video here on our channel of how we fit the 35s@@watchmanexpert

    I just put this on my 21 Trail boss with 35s. Have you had any issues not replacing the UCA? Trying to see how urgent that actually is

  • @hungryman313
    @hungryman313 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Following readylift instructions you gotta remove cv shaft nut. Be careful with nut on top side. The clearance between shaft boot and that nut is too close. Lots of guys tearing boots on the forum.

    • @ChurchieShed
      @ChurchieShed  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I put two extra washers on Bold Head side so the clearance ends up the same as if I put it in the "proper" way. Which I forgot to mention in the video. So good catch Holmes!

    Better swap out that UCA or you will find out the hard way when your wheel pops off. To much stress on the joints, its wearing out joints every time you drive it. I see those pop all the time causing 1000s of dollars damage and just hope it doesn't do it on the highway at 70 mph. Your call just an fyi.... running that on borrowed time right now hope it has not failed yet I see this is old.

      The trail boss control arms allow for up to 1.5 inches of lift without needing control arms. They are different than a regular Silverado’s control arms.

    How did your 4wd auto do with the level? I hear you can use it but there’s bad vibration issues when you engage it

    • @ChurchieShed
      @ChurchieShed  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So far we haven't had that issue. It's been working fine. And we've taken it offroad on some pretty difficult trails and no vibrations.
