The entire justice system basically let this woman get terrorized and assaulted multiple times before they even did the bare minimum of granting a restraining order.\
Damn I feel that even though she's a US citizen I'm pretty sure & I'm a British one. Had five girls harass me after break-ups, absolutely no legal protection from them borderline threatening to destroy my life until someone not from the government, and with less to lose than me tells them to back off. Police never even took a report, one of my exes stabbed me in the arm when I was basically asleep because I pissed her off. TLDR version; My dad was an ass, she was in the child care system, I got kicked out a lot, she ran away a lot, limited abandoned buildings safe enough to sleep in = a long standing situationship & sleeping in the same room.
Hell she is lucky she got that as a woman, in the overwhelming majority of the cases where it was the father in her shoes, they would have been thrown in jail the first time they refused to let the other parent see the kid. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the court force STBX to pay child support an alimony even if both of they agree to do neither, because the court/government makes money off of a portion of those payments.
Police don't take this seriously because they don't believe that an old lady could be that dangerous, but this shows that anyone can be dangerous if they're crazy enough.
You got to remember every police officer has a different situation and considering media nowadays being in favor of women gay people in black people well those are one of the last people you want to be arresting because then people are going to burn down an entire city block because someone did something bad and it just so happened to be a gay person black person or a female and they got arrested for the bad s*** they did like you're supposed to do with them but Society really doesn't care or rather the minority of society that has been projected as the majority of society because that's what the government wants us to think no I'm not a conspiracy theorist I'm simply pointing out the fact that the government wants us to hate each other rather then hating them because you know we should hate them they're the ones causing all the problems and they're trying to make us feel like our neighbors are the problems they want to make us feel like everyone other than them are problem weather that starts a gender War sexuality War religious War or race war they don't care
Y'know, if this story is true, gotta say, holy crap it can be infuriating how much old women get away with and not be sent to jail for. If she was anyone else in the family she'd have no doubt gotten jail time since the first incident and none of the other things she did probably would have even happened.
@@numi8985 The main issue in this story is the police consistently not doing enough even when notified. She did so much they would have landed almost anyone else in prison way faster.
@@BlackTheBerserker Honestly, depending on the location and the state, it sounds all too true. There are very terrible police stations out there with officers who do crap like this.
I don't think that's it 🤨 I think it's the fact that it sounds like the local police just aren't keeping track of anything with these individuals, and almost seem to treat every repeat incidence like a new incidence. That, and wow, that one lawyer during the intial stabbing court case really fucking blew it.
It disgusts me that all this happened because a single MIL hated Tattoos. LIKE SRSLY, THATS BASICALLY HOW ALL THIS STARTED IN A WAY. But I am glad the Mother got some good things out of this, but the fact there was a suggested kidnapping is terrifying, People. Children are human beings, not objects to claim posesion over, you'd be tormenting the child for stuff like this, ESPECIALLY if its a child that cannot grasp or understand whats going on.
She said “there, now you know how it feels”…um, I would think OP already knew how it felt since she’s heavily tattooed! 🤦🏼♀️ MIL was jealous that her husband shared an interest with OP, who she already despised.
I strongly suspect that MIL was coming up with stupid "rules" in order to "motivate" them to get their own place instead of leeching off her. Your perspective on "suggested" kidnapping would change if you were looking from the pov of a parent with restricted visitation instead of the one dictating the restrictions.
I mean if you literally listened to the whole video you'd know full well that that incident was just the breaking point, not the reason it all happened. The woman had literally beat their child at one point and did a bunch of other off the wall horrible shit leading up to that point.

I don’t understand in these stories why the victim is the AHole for not forgiving the bs. Why would you forgive someone for attacking you, screwing you over cheating on you? How on earth is the instigator the victim!? “Oh no you found out I was cheating on you and you won’t forgive me! It’s not my fault that you were working to provide for us while I stay at home all day”
Dude, YES. Like most of this stuff is straight forward and yet people will trash others for no longer putting up abuse and in some cases saving their kids from it as well
I agree with you and all but the stbxh did have a work as the kid would stay at stbxmil home while they were at work, doesn't mean what you said was wrong just something that was missing
it was a long process of accomodation with stabby getting everyone used to her abuse then the mother suddenly realizing "no this is not okay". And from there a slow unraveling into "holy shit, none of this was EVER okay"
Because you have a bias view and you know the story off Reddit. A police can’t just arrest someone because the victim got a phone call. You also can just arrest someone because they got poked. It can and will be seen as an accident by a judge. This story is very one sided. We don’t know the side of the father. From his point of view. He could feel that his ex is refusing him to let him see the child. It doesn’t matter what the wife thinks. You can’t just stop another parent from being with their child. Both are equal parents. Flip the roles and Reddit would be on fire if a man dared to prevent a mom from seeing her child.
I shall call this story "A book about me being bbq forked in hand by stabby lady leads to mental disorientation of everyone around" or just "Stabra, aka Debra of the fork"
I feel so bad for LO...he obviously doesn't understand and wanted to see his grandma and dad so bad. I wish people wouldn't fight over children like objects when these situations arise..
The most sad part about this entire thing is how much of a fucking embarrassment the police and judicial system are. This woman and her child are in very real danger and their response is basically, 'eh, we'll keep an eye on it'.
My father spanked my 18 month old brother and I lost my shit. I'm an adult, so that made it REALLY easy to tell my dad that was completely out of line and that it is not discipline to spank a child that young, it's abuse. He did it fairly lightly, no marks left, and as punishment for something more severe than spilling something, but it's still not OK. Hopefully he hasn't spanked him in the intervening years. All spanking does is tell kids it's OK to hit others as long as they've upset you first
@@Phoenix-mh5eothat's not always true and you know it You have to teach them consequences to their actions but it depends on the child. It depends on the age of the child and the offense. . You can absolutely punish them without even touching them Anna would scare them bad enough to where they would not do it again But some kids don't listen. Like I said it depends on the age, it depends on the kid and it depends on the offense Gentle parenting first but you can't stick with gentle parenting the whole time if they don't want to listen I'm sorry but if my kid hits me, I don't care if they're five or six, I'm going to spank them. Two or three year old, I'm not really going to spank them because they're so young. About all they'll get is a little pop on the hand that would hurt their feelings more than anything I think people who aren't parents don't understand that you have to guide your children. Yeah you say that kids who get spanked are more violent when that is not true Do you know how many kids I've seen who never get disciplined but are extremely violent?! It's because they're acting out more for attention I have helped raise several children. I'm Asian and I'm a tiger mom. Not going to spank them for no reason, I will use gentle parenting when I'm able to. But there comes a point where they're going to either seriously harm themselves or hurt someone else, that's when the spanking comes if they don't want to listen three or four or five or six times. You can say you should never spank your children ever, but until you have kids you're never going to know. I would rather spank my kids to show them there are consequences for their actions than to let them do whatever they want. There is a difference between spanking and beating. Beating is when it's done randomly, with anger, for any offense. This includes punching, slamming their head into stuff, doing anything that could cause bruises. It doesn't even have to be anything that would cause bruises, if it could cause bruises, that is a warning sign of the person being abusive A spanking is something you do to discipline your child My mother, my Asian mother, would talk to me about what I did wrong and why I was getting a spanking. She'd also tell me the number of spankings she would give me. She would count them as she went. And the only way I would get more is if I tried to run. It taught me that I need to take responsibility. That if I do what's wrong, there are consequences for my actions And you know what? Now as an adult, I take full responsibility for my actions. I don't blame others for what I've done. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong and no one needs to make excuses for me. If I did wrong I need to deal with the consequences. People don't know how to take responsibility anymore Always want to make excuses or blame someone else
@shadowcollins4589 there's literally multiple papers/studies you could go out & read about the negative impacts of spanking a child & how harmful it is but if you wanna keep justifying the hardships you've experienced go off if. Laying hands on your own child is disgusting
Never, EVER, marry a Mama's boy or daddy's girl. You will never win. Your spouse will never defend you to the parent. They will ALWAYS side with the parent. Loving and caring for your parent or child is one thing. But being obsessed with them is something entirely different.
Best case scenario is you end up with some kidult who needs to be constantly told what to do and has next to no impulse control. Worst case is you get stabbed with a barbecue prong, leading to a conspiracy to commit kidnapping.
Dh: "you never look out for me" Op: "you sided with your mother whenever she abuses us, you even sided with her now after assaulting me. Cut me with that never look out for me bs!"
Depending on the state, OP should arm herself and get self defense training. If the MIL attacks her, she should defend herself, even if that means lethal force. This lady is crazy and dangerous to her, her son and family.
I almost feel bad for STBX. He's clearly suffered abuse his entire life, to the point his mother's abuse of his child was brushed off as "how she treats children". People tend to forget that victims of abuse often find it difficult to separate from their abuser(s), even on an emotional level. I have to wonder, based on his later actions, if he realized too late what his mother really was, and that's why he's trying to distance himself from "Mommie Dearest". Also, regarding the cheating, I have to wonder if the "affair" started before or after OP agreed to divorce.
I'm 100% certain he did. With the child gone, he was the only outlet left for her abuse and had front row seats as she got crazier and crazier. Small wonder he fled across state lines. Wanting to cut all ties with the kid is cold though.

There’s something wrong with people telling her she’s being too hasty by filing for divorce. Just because you’re ok with being mistreated doesn’t mean everyone is. I’m glad she got the hell out of there, it was only going to get worse.
Originally the husband was standing by her though and she was already talking about divorce. Everyone escalated the situation instead of communicating. Also anyone who instantly wants to file for divorce in a long term relationship at the first sign of problems tells me either they are being hasty, use it as a manipulation tactic often, or that's what they really wanted to do to begin with.
Some of us are not ok with being mistreated. Simple as that. The first time someone shows you who they are, believe them. Saves you a lot of heartache in the long run.
@GigiButterflie I've been with my wife 13 years we've both done shitty stuff to each other if you can't communicate and forgive each other it will never last relationships take work and all I'm saying is going straight to divorce isn't always the answer and screams to me that the person doing that doesn't care much about the relationship to begin with.
I stayed with an abusive husband for 6 years, and because I finally opted OUT of having the shit beat out of me means I didn’t care about the relationship? I guess I should have stayed until he eventually killed me huh?
@GigiButterflie what does that have to do with anything she wasn't being physically abused by her husband and he was standing by her while she started talking about divorce your projecting onto this story.
There is an astounding lack of sympathy for the ex husband here, sure he does do bad things, but the sheer magnitude of the abuse his mother was heaping on him is quite clear if you look at this with a critical eye. His mother was so physically abusive to him that he saw hitting hard enough to leave marks as normal, she owned his home and wouldn't let him purchase it so that she could have a say in how they lived within their own home, she had control of his debit card, and tried to control and drive away his spouse. That's physical abuse, privacy violations, financial abuse, and social abuse. And I'm only halfway into the video. No wonder he's such a mess mentally, imagine how long he's dealt with all of that.
The dude said he didn't want his son and could pretend that he didn't exist. No sympathy. A narcissist created another one. Lovely. Do we want to keep saying, "Well, you were abused and manipulated, so you get a pass on being an abuser and manipulator yourself." Hell no! That's generational abuse. Stop the cycle. If it was the mom instead of the dad I'd probably be even harder on her due to the fact that counseling/therapy are socially more acceptable for women, and we teach women at least basic things about childcare and emotions. I'm a survivor of parental abuse, as is my sister to a lesser degree. She's a decent mom and I'm just not having kids, though the reasons why are far more complex than I want to get into.
You know? You can give up your parental rights as much as you want... But one would still need to pay child support unless the child gets adopted by someone else.
then youd get situations where the ex stays purposefully unemployed and single to milk as much money out of the father. its not wild speculation it happens and in a country of 300million people id say a lot
@@ThePapino134if so then the ex would live in extreme poverty. Child support is for the child not to support the mother. Alimony is for that. If the mother isn't able to support the child then the child can be taken away. A father has a choice to take care of his own child but if he refuses then the least he should do is pay child support. If men didn't abandon their children so often then the problem of paying child support wouldn't exist. Child support is calculated based on the father's earnings, not mother's needs. Some men refuse to get a better job or get paid under the table to lower child support. Women can't just live on a child support alone. It's possible in the same way as choosing to be homeless because someone doesn't want to work but It's not a comfortable life.

I'm curious if this one of those small towns or influential people type things. The police seem to be slow walking their asses on filing the paperwork and talking to MIL about some of the things she did and said. It's like they're trying to protect her because she might have some roundabout ways to get what she wants.
Life is hard for those who have extremeist religious parents, you can tell the STBX is terrified of his mother and barely stands up to her. He is manipulated by MIL so much that he actively sabotages his own life. Sadly the only one I really feel sorry for is OP.

Isn't impersonating a lawyer a crime? Like a criminal issue, not a civil issue? Which cops are supposed to enforce? That woman should have been at least charged, even if she got off light. That is the one thing that makes me doubt the story, but then again... Not ragging on all cops, but so many don't know the law they are supposed to enforce or say, 'It's a civil matter' despite it clearly being criminal. A clear instance of them not wanting to get involved in a 'family matter' even though they should/law says they should.
These kinds of things have happened before to other people, so it's possible that it's true. It gets kinda easy to tell when some of these stories are clearly fake compared to the ones that seem to hold truth to the tail.
Most of these do. Every time you think it's time to take a breath it hits the fan again and up it goes! Like a roller coaster lift hill, just listening to those clicks.
Go to the courthouse & ask for an ‘emergency order of protection’ for yourself & your child. Take the police report with you & any texts/ proof of your in-laws trying to take your child. Show them any photos you may have of the MIL hitting your child or you & leaving marks. ALWAYS DOCUMENT INJURIES OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, even if you don’t think it’s that bad or whether you intend to use it . Photos are evidence, he said/she said or witnesses are NOT as reliable.
If a person intends to hurt you, it doesn't all matter by how much. She didn't intend that much? Absolute BS. She did it with intent, her lack of skill or control is no defense, and even more of a reason to not do it.

This definitely sounds similar to another story I was told personally it's not one I found on TH-cam. Damn near same situation. How it all ended was completely tragic the father wanted nothing to do with the child the mother-in-law obsessed with getting the child and a mother trying to protect a child it all ended with the mother-in-law shooting and killing the mother which then in turn got her the death penalty and because of all that the father wants nothing to do with the child so the child ended up going into the Foster system. And then years later after being shuffled around for years that child ended up taking their own life. the justice system has no soul and they don't step in until there is f****** bloodshed
She finally gave his mother a nickname, Stabra. 😂 Yeah, I know people use those for anonymity, but Graces! Use fake names and be done with it! Plus the way the narrator switches up between reading them as letters and as "words" makes it that much harder to follow.

Hey guys, when you're stabbed with something DON'T PULL IT OUT. OP got lucky. But pulling it out can cause more damage. The object could also be what's keeping you alive in severe cases. The best thing to do is to leave it in, call an ambulance, and let medical professionals handle it.
A good reminder to really think twice if you want to commit to a relationship and have a kid with someone. Why would you want to stay with someone whose family is directly incompatible with you and your beliefs? Always look out and dig for the damn red flags before you commit into someone or their family and really think whether it’s something you can work with. They all sound like terrible people to me, ngl. - Ex is sleazy and cowardly and can’t seem to choose a side - Ex MIL has no boundaries and is extremely unhealthy - OP just made the worst decisions up front which are all compounding at this moment: choosing her husband, pursuing work and inking herself under a religious/strict household roof, just overall her responses and behavior seem weird (ie. the early aggravating convos with EX MIL, being too intimate with her engaged friend, continuing wanting the Ex in the son’s life even though he and his MIL get arrested and confronted by the police multiple times) She did the best she could with what she’s been dealt but that doesn’t stop the whole nonsensical story from pissing me off ngl.

Sounds like good ol American legal justice doing what it's supposed to do. Which is nothing until "crime" happens.

No it started because she is mentally ill. A lot of people don't like tattoos and they dont stab people with tattoos.
It all started with a tattoo
Tbh OP should still demand child support, husband was cheating and left her to deal with his mother following her, harassing her and ect, mil been arrested like 6 times and yet he says "leave me outta it?" Naww get him for max child support and no visitation

Flip the roles and Reddit would be on fire if a man dared to prevent a mom from seeing her child.

spank an 18 month old? seriously? that doesn't even fly under the 'its the way i was raised' excuse.
...because he spilled something. Evil.
All spanking does is tell kids it's OK to hit others as long as they've upset you first
@@Phoenix-mh5eothat's not always true and you know it
You have to teach them consequences to their actions but it depends on the child. It depends on the age of the child and the offense.
.
You can absolutely punish them without even touching them Anna would scare them bad enough to where they would not do it again
But some kids don't listen. Like I said it depends on the age, it depends on the kid and it depends on the offense
Gentle parenting first but you can't stick with gentle parenting the whole time if they don't want to listen
I'm sorry but if my kid hits me, I don't care if they're five or six, I'm going to spank them.
Two or three year old, I'm not really going to spank them because they're so young. About all they'll get is a little pop on the hand that would hurt their feelings more than anything
I think people who aren't parents don't understand that you have to guide your children.
Yeah you say that kids who get spanked are more violent when that is not true
Do you know how many kids I've seen who never get disciplined but are extremely violent?!
It's because they're acting out more for attention
I have helped raise several children.
It doesn't even have to be anything that would cause bruises, if it could cause bruises, that is a warning sign of the person being abusive
A spanking is something you do to discipline your child
My mother, my Asian mother, would talk to me about what I did wrong and why I was getting a spanking. She'd also tell me the number of spankings she would give me.
She would count them as she went.
And the only way I would get more is if I tried to run.
It taught me that I need to take responsibility. That if I do what's wrong, there are consequences for my actions
And you know what? Now as an adult, I take full responsibility for my actions. I don't blame others for what I've done. If I'm wrong then I'm wrong and no one needs to make excuses for me.
If I did wrong I need to deal with the consequences.
People don't know how to take responsibility anymore
Always want to make excuses or blame someone else

She will hurt him or run off with him and honestly your husband will go with her. Be careful.
That daycare "rule" is absolute bs! If the dad kidnaps the child without rights to legally take him and he got away with it because it's the "daycare's rule" not to prevent it, then she's going to probably be hit with charges of aiding and abetting. I hope your cousin's daughter was able to get therapy to deal with that. That's awful! I feel so bad she had to go through that.
23:26 that's a huge red flag for a narcissist. Once they figured out they could not have their way, they cut bait and ran. They'll pretend like mother and child don't exist. I've seen this happen in a couple of other stories.
Yea basically once word gets round to enough people that they are fucked up and a big problem them run away and cut all ties that haven't been cut on them already to start fresh. Nah the ex saying keep me out of it is crazy☠️☠️☠️
I stayed with an abusive husband for 6 years, and because I finally opted
OUT of having the shit beat out of me means I didn’t care about the relationship? I guess I should have stayed until he eventually killed me huh?
@GigiButterflie what does that have to do with anything she wasn't being physically abused by her husband and he was standing by her while she started talking about divorce your projecting onto this story.
Something about their dynamic is incredibly "andy and leyley". What a usless set of police, and psychotic mother (bf's mom, I mean)
I feel bad for her ex husband because he had to live with his mother & grew to learn how abusive she was after the major damage had been done. It’s really difficult for abused people to rationalize that their abuser is a bad person.
CAN SOMEONE GIVE MEANINGS FOR ALL THESE ABBREVIATIONS
DH - Dear husband
MIL/stabra - mother in law
SFIL - step father in law
STBX - soon to be ex
LO - little one
Well that escalated fast
There was bloodshed at the start of this video that wasn't taken seriously..
What concerns me is how the MIL is so fucking obsessed with LO.
10 seconds in, and woah, being married to a 3 year old for 4 years seems wild.
Being old means you get away with crime op should sue the department
ACRONYM SOUP!!!!! STOP I COULDN"T UNDERSTAND JACK SH*T!!
She finally gave his mother a nickname, Stabra. 😂 Yeah, I know people use those for anonymity, but Graces! Use fake names and be done with it! Plus the way the narrator switches up between reading them as letters and as "words" makes it that much harder to follow.
At first, it sounded a bit like a "too harsh MIL" issue where the husband was just oblivious or naive...
But hearing him agree to the mother of his child being KICKED OUT OF THE FUCKING HOUSE to live in a rental away from the children for something as basic as tattoos or piercings? wtf.
It's like looking at my bestie's mom.
My guy struggling on this obby
I Love OP's Mom. So Supportive, And I Send Op, Op's Mom, Op's Aunt, Op's Sister, And Lo Much Love.
I accidentaly readed "Mil stabbed me in my asshole" help 💀💀
The mil is insane like how do tattoos do anything negative to you
So adultery is illegal but STBXMIL's own son cheating in her isn't?
What a brain she has
The police and justice system every time a crime is committed: “Damn, that’s crazy! Welp, good luck on your own. Let us know when the stagger stabs you again. We won’t actually do anything about it though, lmao.”
What an insane situation.. Still this post was like reading a book but the last chapter was missing.
Sure hope everything works out for this poor mother and kid.
Holy shit. OP's mother in law is fucking insane
fr
Hey guys, when you're stabbed with something DON'T PULL IT OUT.
OP got lucky. But pulling it out can cause more damage. The object could also be what's keeping you alive in severe cases.
The best thing to do is to leave it in, call an ambulance, and let medical professionals handle it.
Jesus what a saga! and after an hour of this, that divorce is still pending...
Tampon-tomato!! 🤣 I'm dying here!! 🤣
DH never cared about his wife and seems to be deflecting his emotions onto her in an attempt to gaslight her into questioning her reality
For those who need the translate.
MIL = Mother In Law
SFIL = Step Father In Law
LO = Little One
DH = H means husband but D can mean many things.
I just listen to almost an hour of a story without even noticing
More like "I'm so sorry I'm going to have to face consequences for my action"
A good reminder to really think twice if you want to commit to a relationship and have a kid with someone.
Why would you want to stay with someone whose family is directly incompatible with you and your beliefs? Always look out and dig for the damn red flags before you commit into someone or their family and really think whether it’s something you can work with.
They all sound like terrible people to me, ngl.
- Ex is sleazy and cowardly and can’t seem to choose a side
- Ex MIL has no boundaries and is extremely unhealthy
- OP just made the worst decisions up front which are all compounding at this moment: choosing her husband, pursuing work and inking herself under a religious/strict household roof, just overall her responses and behavior seem weird (ie. the early aggravating convos with EX MIL, being too intimate with her engaged friend, continuing wanting the Ex in the son’s life even though he and his MIL get arrested and confronted by the police multiple times)
She did the best she could with what she’s been dealt but that doesn’t stop the whole nonsensical story from pissing me off ngl.
At first I kind of felt bad for the dad ( definitely think she should have divorced him just felt bad he couldn’t see his kid ) then when he broke in and threaten or else and pushed people I stopped feeling bad, like I know you want to see your kid but that not how you do it get custody in court not fight people on street
He did the wrong way but OP was making it difficult for him to even see him. I get why he wanted to sign his rights away. Fighting to barely see my kid once a week ain't worth the stress she was making him go thru

@@isaiahthomas4444 I totally agree on that part and I think it horrible how much power women get over children when it comes to a father seeing them, but I think we can both agree that doesn’t give him the right to try and break the door down
@@landonpoland5092 yea totally
@@isaiahthomas4444 I personally believe that he shouldn't allow his mother to beat his child, then take the mother's side against his wife (OP). She (OP) was trying to keep the child safe.
I don't see how anyone could have the energy to get arrested so much like stabra
I’m assuming MIL has some high connections in order to dodge consequences for so long
Holy shhhhh this story is INSANE
That man has no spine
"i stab (tattoo) people for a living"
"I wanted to say 'now you see how it feels' tho"
I'm pretty sure she already knows quite well being fully tatted too....
What gets me about this story is that the MIL claimed she wanted OP to "feel what it's like to be stabbed", but OP said she had a lot of tattoos already. Sooooo she would know what her clients go through.
So I heard this story before, but only the beginning part, so about 70-80% of this is new to me, and wow this s$&t is crazy
I was like there’s no way I’m going to sit through 50 minutes of a story but here I am 50 minutes later
I listened to one yesterday that was nearly 3 hrs and twice as nuts. These MILs are absolutely bat shit.
