A very naïve thought to be honest. Like Scholes mentioned there are many things to take care of in order to get the deal over the line. Man is just thinking about his OWN happiness without thinking about the player's choice. The player has gotta think about his family, career etc. Sometimes I think people like him live much happier cos they don't do much thinking :)

First question is utterly ridiculous. A week to get transfers done? What about early season injuries, the capacity of smaller clubs recruitment teams, capacity of the medical staff. Not to mention the exceptional pressure it would add to players to make the decision if they want to change clubs in what would effectively be a day. Utterly insane & clearly not thought through.
When you look at the in/outs of clubs after a window, it can be as much as 6-10 in and 20+ out, imagine orchestrating that within a week, the logistics of travel, getting the players accommodation, the medical staff being on top of it, not to mention all of the contracts that will need sorting. They'd be sorting 3-4 players/contracts a day, that's ridiculous, crazy

Correct me if im wrong but Scholes said there are players on £1500 to £3000 per week , it's unrealistic to expect them to find places to stay ...is he saying financially they can't manage that ?????
You also have to understand that a lot of that goes to various things down the leagues as well as Tax, it's also not a million miles off to expect the player to want some form of security (gated off / concierge) all it takes is one lunatic to make him or the family fear for their lives. You ain't getting that for £1k a month rent.
unrealistic for them to be able to relocate a family into a new place in 1-2 weeks is unreasonable. How long does it take conveyancing etc. At PL clubs they have places they rent out for a player to stay temporarily.
Sorry but Arsenal best signings were Anelka, Vieira and Bergkamp. Anelka for the amount we sold him and built London Colney. Vieira for his amount and his influence. Bergkamp for how he changed our club’s direction and identity.
No offense but it was Alex's opinion. Many people could not fully experience that Arsenal era because of their age. Like he said in the video that he's born in 1997, so he's probably started watching in around 07/08.
Love Scholes but his comment about players ‘only’ earning 2-3k a week and not being able to afford a penthouse is the most out of touch with reality observation I've heard in recent weeks.
he means they cant just pay top dollar to stay somewhere...u do realiase contract is probs 2/ 3 yrs and likely unemployed by mid 30s......cant be spending all wages on that....need to plan for after football...its good planning /common sense
Chelsea’s worst signing gotta be Winston Bogarde.. set precedent of sitting back and taking the wages for little to no input. And now players from all over come to Chelsea to rinse their wallet 😂👏🏼
@@tomdip2094 Be glad to finally see the back of both of them. But Sancho worse than Anthony. At least Anthony puts the effort in when he's picked. Just can't be so one dimensional in EPL. Oh and have 0/100 with your weak foot. Sancho was 2 years of torture to get him. Showed F all, caused pandemonium in the dressing room and acted like a 3 year old. And worst still, we know there's a talented player there if he just got over himself and put the F'ing work in. Be out of matchday squads and on the fan's worst transfer lists by Christmas at Chelsea.
I think Anthony is worse than Sancho. They have both been pathetic for United but at least with Sancho you can see there is something there even if that hasn't counted for anything. With Anthony he has shown nothing positive and it looks like he would struggle in League 1
@@SAMTHEMANTHATCAN Hard disagree. The hype around Sancho when he was signed only for him to turn into an arrogant problem-causer. Nearly £300K a week for 3 seasons with not much to show for it. Paid full wages for 3 months of unavailability in 22/23 and paid full wages for 4 months of sitting on his backside in 23/24. At least with Antony, he scored a winner that knocked Barcelona out of the Europa League and scored a late equaliser than turned into United getting to, and winning, the FA Cup final. There's no point "in having something there" if you're going to be lazy and arrogant. A completely failed transfer and an utter waste of time.

@@rupertp9827 The player can either commute or stay in a hotel for how long it takes. They certainly have the money for it.
Personally, I wasn’t engaged by a journalist telling us his life story. But the content on here is quality overall.
Patrick Vieira didn't even get a mention..
Odegaard being his pick too......guy hasn't even won anything with us yet
Arsenal fans are annoying Vieira Berkhamp Henry Adams are legends they're bringing up Odegaard and Saliba in their all time lists.
Too young audience. Like he said born in 97 hard to name them.
Speaking of Orinstein with Pepe he actually tweeted the week before he signed that it won’t be happening so even the best get things wrong
Are you really sorry though?

Great show thanks everyone
Ronaldo is surely the best premier league signing for what he achieved and what United got from Madrid
Chelsea worst signings - Sutton I don’t remember. Winston Bogarde comes to mind.
Mutu !!! 😂😂😂
Van der Vaart for 12 months was unbelievable at Spurs, if 8 mil is the price of a great season I think you'd be quite happy.
Scholes loves Carragher these days.
whats up with that, many Liverpool and United players have been good friends through the years even when playing in the same era
Once they're out of their clubs, they realise they have more similarities than differences.
We're all northern working class guys. Just a few miles down the M62.
@@bengreenbank upper class they are these days
@@stevesteve5785 Class doesn't work the way. Having money doesn't make you upper class.
A 1 week window is a ridiculous idea, any club that doesn’t want to sell the player would just delay things and the window would close.
A week? What about foreign players? Travel, medicals and then if they have to get clearance to play? What???😂😂😂
Where`s the rest of the premier league teams. Is there going to be a part 2 ?
Is that Brentford lad on the bag or what? 😂
Amazing show
Chelsea’s worst signing gotta be Winston Bogarde.. set precedent of sitting back and taking the wages for little to no input. And now players from all over come to Chelsea to rinse their wallet 😂👏🏼
Can we banish grey tracksuits please?
Can’t believe our fans attack Antony, but give Sancho a little free English pass
Sancho at least proves he can do it at Dortmund
@@tomdip2094 Be glad to finally see the back of both of them. But Sancho worse than Anthony. At least Anthony puts the effort in when he's picked. Just can't be so one dimensional in EPL. Oh and have 0/100 with your weak foot. Sancho was 2 years of torture to get him. Showed F all, caused pandemonium in the dressing room and acted like a 3 year old. And worst still, we know there's a talented player there if he just got over himself and put the F'ing work in. Be out of matchday squads and on the fan's worst transfer lists by Christmas at Chelsea.
Sancho gets rinsed by UTD fans as does Rashford.
Sancho played in the CL semi final last year...Antony is a fidget spinner
@@AM2K2 And how did he do?
Love the Brentford guy!! Great stories 👍 😅
McKola in the thumbnail haha
they needed someone to represent "the worst"

A week long transfer window. 😂 Imagine if we all had only one week in summer to buy or sell our houses - total chaos and anxiety.
Brentford bloke getting his 15 mins
Felt like 60
We want Bozza's response lol
Ive had dealings with Andy! Great guy has been at AFC forever! 👍🏼
this bloke loves to waffle and not answer the questions, bore off
David platt for Aston Villa brought 250.00 sold to Bari 6 million.
Sancho and it's not even close
Worst transfer and most disgraceful player
Not as bad as the appointment of ETH
@@hottakehylas Sancho's worse.
you are manure, your club exists to ruin the potential of young players. Most toxic club in football
The hype around Sancho when he was signed only for him to turn into an arrogant
problem-causer.
Why does The Overlap think that we want to see so much of David Ornstein?
That one week transfer window thing is really ridiculous. Moderators should know to cut him off and move on. Or edit most of it out pls. Guy was yapping non stop on something so ridiculous
Best podcast combo.
