I’m a musician by night, but by day I run a bbq business, and I cater a lot of nights during the week to a chicken plant, and there is some dead people working there. And I see them get frustrated that no one can talk to them. And they have to get their phones 📱 and write out what they need to say. So I’m learning sign as fast as I can
That is so nice God bless you
I love that you not only teach the signs but also how to use them in a sentence. Thank you.
I watch your videos in my free time as I wanted to start learning sign language a while ago. I, nor no one in my family is deaf, mute, or hard of hearing, but I decided to give learning it a try in case I ever meet someone who uses sign language, and also because knowing another language couldn't hurt. And it's been so fun learning all of these signs! I even use a couple with my little brother like "no," "stop," and I've even shown him the alphabet before

I like the "Did You Know?" commercial. I received my sticker sheets from your Learn How to Sign store recently, and I like that they are repositionable.

THANK YOU! 😀
Hello. I absolutely love and appreciate your channel. Thank you for what you do! I have a question about ASL grammar, specifically regarding "relative clauses" and "subordinate and coordinate conjunctions." I am a linguist and foreign language teacher. So It's been my thinking that these concepts that we use in verbal language may potentially not be what they are called in ASL ( For example, it's possible that these concepts may fall under another syntactic categorical umbrella such as topicalization, etc..). But if these are concepts that are used in ASL, do you know of a book that I could buy that could go into more detail about how they are applied? Because of my background, I desire to identify the scope of all categories of ASL grammar/typology and would love a great resource that can help me with that.
I love it and I love deaf or hear person who is sign language interpreter
I love have she uses them in sentences and says them so we can hear I don’t have any mute or deaf or hard hearing ppl and I am young and I wanted to learn bc if I met someone who specked asl and what is I couldn’t talk to them and they needed help I would feel bad so I wanted to learn really bad and she has helped me so much tysm for doing this
This helps so much because I want to be a doctor and I want to be able to help deaf people so I watch you too learn😃🥰
Where can I find a listing showing what is the best order to view the ASL videos? Thanks.
I love have she uses them in sentences and says them so we can hear I don’t have any mute or deaf or hard hearing ppl
having trouble making "r"s. Any techniques to strengthen or stretch to get better "r"s?
I love have she uses them in sentences and says them so we can hear I don’t have any mute or deaf or hard hearing ppl and I am young I just wanted to learn about it
Does it matter with which hand to sign with?
Cause I sign with my right hand
The arms should bounce together at daughter to sign for granddaughter. And Bounce twice to sign for great granddaughter
This helps so much than you!!!!
I am studying beginner ASL. My instructor signs as she's explaining...everything is signed. Do you have videos wherein you sign as you're talking or do you only sign the word(s) you're teaching?
I sign and talk in some videos specifically when there’s a live audience or when interacting with a deaf or hard of hearing individual. That is Sim-Com which is not ASL, it’s more signed exactly English. Since we utilized CC on TH-cam and teach ASL, we decided not to confuse Grammar and structure by using Sim-Com. Teaching completely voice off like many Deaf or signing with a voiceover are other ways I could teach. This is just the format we chose for TH-cam and have stuck to it.
I practice in front of my cat. How do I force her to care?
❤
Well not bad you went slower then you usually do but great job I had fun 😊
Hi! I’m glad that you’re learning sign language. Keep practicing it. 😊

I don't love that in it is devorst
"Relatives should be your friends." Oh yeah? I flipping hate my sister.
Maybe you're the problem. I want to hear from your sister.
Disappointed that as a Christian you have "partner" on a FAMILY signs video that I shared with my children. In general, many of these weren't "family" specific but that one carries meaning wrapped up in sin when it's supposed to be about family not something like a business arrangement. Please keep these videos safe for children.
That is very bold of you to place judgement on us for "trying to insinuate anything". We included several "relationship" signs that aren't necessarily "family" signs just because the bucket they belong to is too small for their own video. Also we didn't teach any deeper meaning of the term "partner". It can refer to a married couple as well, it's a more generalized term. We are teaching a language and that is a common word used to describe a relationship.
As parents of young children, and yes Christians, we are very mindful of making content that is safe for the whole family. Yes, you don't have to show our video(s) to your kids, but please don't make your own interpretation, cast judgement and publicly paint a negative picture of who we are and not expect us to defend ourselves.
I’m a little unsure what you mean by this. I refer to my husband as my partner all the time. Of course, I also call him sweetheart , hubby, friend, money bags (haha) and many other things. I think you are reading more into this than is there.
My husband of 35 years (an elder in our church) is my partner in every sense of the word.
@@mom2bbjandag Aa he should be.
I think as a Christian you shouldn't be judging others.... But what do I know, I only went to Christian school from preschool through college...
I can see that you are NOT Deaf. Please stop teaching signs. Let Deaf people teach signs. Thank you!
Why are you hearing ppl teaching asl signs it is not ur place to really unless ure a certified asl teacher why teach asl sign let the deaf people who is asl fluent teach Its deaf s culture . all hearing persons think they have the privilege to do this some of your signs is not accurate. Not mean to be rude but. It’s Deaf culture and needs more Deaf awareness
