@Jason Luong yea that’s true, however, surprisingly it didn’t prove to be an issue in my build. the one thing that rlly struck me was the 4 ssd sleds and the top grille.
Oh wow! It's the first time I watch a video from you and honestly: I'm very impressed! Great intro, nice tour of the case with explanations, great build with good music, supberb filming.
I don't think that I've ever posted a comment on a TH-cam video... ever. Until now. This video was amazing. Iso a nice case for my first build, and I think that I have found what I am looking for. Also this is my first time watching this dude. Super Rad.
Hi, A quick heads up if you plan to use the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360 with the 5000D. It uses a thicker rad than most AIO's (38mm). As a result it could not be top mounted with my MSI Z490-Pro A. It would not clear the VRM heatsink, it literally came down to less than 2mm of clearance . I did manage to to mount the 360 at the front. I prefer tubes down but that was a stretch. If your AIO uses a thinner rad you will be fine. None the less I still really like the case and might change the AIO and keep the Arctic for a future build.
I used this for my build, transplanting everything from the basic MSI case to this. Drop temps by an average 5 degrees Celsius. It is also much quieter
This is exactly what I want to build but also adding 3 white fans in the channel - havent seen anyone do that yet except one custom loop build - beautiful build man
Its a Russian Bulat knife. It's made by a guy called Serge Baranov. It's the Russian version of Damascus Steel. This is the knife you use to cut other knives in half lol.
This looks gorgeous !!! I'm about to buy this case but in black, as my components aren't exactly colour-matched (getting ANY 3080 would be a mission, never mind of a certain colour haha), so it will end up looking like a xmas tree. I'm considering adding 4x red ML 140 fans to it font and top. Is that fan hub behind the right panel good enough, or is there a reason you went for Commander Pro ?
I wish I can show every single person my water cooled PC build in this case. Such a good case. Nailed so many things right! Maybe I'll make a video about my build soon idk lol but great video!!
Hands down the sexiest component list out there! These choices make a stunning and powerful build, Well done! question is there enough room for a 120 fan to be placed on the PSU shroud to aid in cooling the GPU?
Hi Nick, recent subscriber and love your content. What cable are you using to connect to the GPU? It looks really cool and I'd like to get one for my rig
I got my hands on a Vision OC 3080 two weeks ago and was looking for a case to do a white build so I could dump my NZXT case where it belongs. In the trash. And I think you have just convinced me to buy this...
Same thermals with the new Corsair case and my 15 years old cooler master 2 I got 10 be quiet case fans in the case. It is not bad and nice looks that is all.
I watched the video well. I was curious about something while watching the video. Is the indirect lighting at the bottom of the case also a basic component? Or what part is it?
Bought the 5000D airflow last week. It's a great case. I needed to upgrade from my 4000D airflow because the GPU was too big. Keep up the great work you guys and stay safe.
any idea if you can MOD it to support a 420 AIO like the arctic freezer in the FRONT? Im planning to squeeze the 420 in and if i have to FLEX the bottom open ill do so to fit it in this beauty of a case.

So true that white parts are hard to come by and they are more expensive $$$ for some reason. When I build my Ryzen 7 system at the start of 2020 I used the Corsair Crystal 460X series white case. I could not get a white AIO and the white GPU I wanted to use was $200 more, ended up not using that GPU. A year later in 2021, I have repurposed that system and have put it into a rack-mountable server case and it's in my 32RU server cabinet. So I am so glad that I didn't end up paying hundreds of $ more for white parts as they will not be seen.
How efficient would a top mounted fan pull setup be, with the radiator below? Rather than a push setup with the fans below the radiator? I was pondering the idea of installing a H150i but using the 3 RGB fans it comes with in the front of the case and using the 2 non-RGB fans that come with the 5000D in the top recess pulling air through the radiator. I would obviously need to add a third non-RGB fan in the top recess.
I only wish it had support for the same amount of 140mm fans, two more USB ports and an offset top radiator bracket. The non-airflow version would be aesthetically and functionally perfect for me.
Man 3 different type of fans there ; ) I find 1 glaring weakness of this case and that is almost non existent HDD 3.5" supports. Corsair provide HDD drive cage installed in a space where PSU cables should be, so it's impossible to place it there. Sure you can slide the cage a little bit to the front but it's still a tight fit plus you can't install the optional PSU cover (this is the tradeoff for side fans/ radiator mounting, you can't have it all). For information, there's an optional HDD installation point on the steel plate at back of the motherboard for 1 HDD. I wish Corsair put optional HDD installation points on place where 3 SSDs where originally installed. SSDs can be optionally installed on top of the PSU cover anyway. More options usually better for everyone. Regardless, I am excited to build my next PC in this case when I replace my CPU and motherboard. Great review by the way!
About to build an i9 12900kf DDR5 in the X version of this case. Really helpful thank you. Your build is a work of art. Really loved your music selection, as well.
@@tcheperi4997 The build worked out really well. The case is great. Plenty of room, easy to work with, lots of different configurations to put fans and coolers, etc., easy to clean. Can't believe it's been a year already.
Great teardown. I'm definitely liking corsair's new triangle aesthetic. I just wish they would hide their front I/O behind a door or something similar to Phanteks. I like having it but I hate seeing it when not in use. For white paint, you can get the exact same paint from the same manufacturer and it can still be a slightly different shade. The only way to get white paint to really, truly match consistently is with custom mixes in clean rooms. Most won't notice a minor difference especially when blended though. You can pretty much forget a matching paint to plastic unless you dye plastic first and then match the paint to it. I have a custom locking lazy susan which works very well for builds but I can see how it might not be ideal for filming at times.
Lazy susan takes up too much space. Elevates filming position and are really unstable for PCs that weigh 15KG+ regardless of the bearing used. We've done it. We don't like it. They are also not very professional. I can pickup and slide a case without issue.
@@GearSeekers Yeah, I'm not arguing that. I definitely agree there that it's the case for any off the shelf solution. I took a swivel TV stand designed for heavier TVs and removed the original board and just used the turntable and little steel ball feet(best description I have). I inlaid the turntable into a new top so that it adds only a 1/2" in height to the table. I drilled two holes and used ball locking pins to lock the table so all I have to do is press the button on the pins and pull them out to allow the turntable to spin. I've worked with enough 70lb to 100lb builds now that the minor effort was worth it.
For me, the only reason to go for a 5000D instead of 4000D is the size and the side air inlet... but you didnt install any fans there. A little bit disappointed. If the cooling is enough, that is ok though.
Very Nice Video, i have a Corsair crystal 280x .. because i dont like huge cases anymore, this was the best promise for me between mid and mini cases .. also i love the 2 chamber design with the psu on the side .. but this case .. really got me thinking ... i totally love the design .. and can overlook all "flaws" ..
