My recent old pc had a stock ibuypower case (bought it back in 2020 The Golden Stimulus Era). I upgraded the 2070 super it came with to a 3080 and added a lian li gpu strimer. The cable connection from the strimer and the power supply melted together. I now have a 5000D and the airflow is amazing.
This model solves every issue I had with the 4000d airflow. 2 usb on the top, room for a 360mm and overall just really solid space to cable manage. I like that it includes that back plate of metal behind the motherboard so you can use that space for example the Corsair hub, on the 4000d I had to sacrifice one of the 2.5 inch trays to stick my lightning node core pro hub. Luckily I had one day left to return my 4000d and purchased this and a replacement 360mm AIO. Very excited
Around 2016, I built a system using a Corsair case that was VERY similar to this one, and absolutely loved it. The big factor was the ease with which I could access and clean the front filter, as our home is quite dusty with multiple dogs and cats tracking in dirt. I also liked that Corsair had replacement parts available at reasonable prices on their website. Unfortunately they discontinued that line of cases about the time I built my current system (the old one now resides on my sister's desk). What I detest about my current case is accessing the front filter for cleaning. To get to the pull slot on the bottom of the front panel, I have to pull it to a point the case extends over the edge of the desk. Then I have to yank the panel to loosen it. Add to that the cables that connect RGB and front panel I/O, the front panel has to hang lose while the filter is cleaned. I've finally reached the end of my patience and plant to replace the case with the Corsair 5000D Airflow case.
They actually fixed the problems and issues that I saw on the 4000-series cases. If I didn't have the Lian Li o11 Dynamic already, the Corsair 5000x White would have been my second pick. If you like the previous versions of this case, then I think you are going to love this version even more.
I watched your m.2 reviews and now this case review and I think your reviews are solid and informative and don't have a bias vibe to them so I have subscribed... great job
I like the look, definitely matches my white and gray autonomous smart desk 2 / chair setup. But I'm holding on to the Cooler Master H500 since it can hold all 6 of my black chromax Noctua fans and the Air cooling is fantastic.
Another first class , practical and intelligent review. Even the clean and tidy background and nice music is well done. I would gladly view ANY content from this young lady. WTG Techtesters.
Great job with this review. I only recently put together my new build in the 4000D Airflow and it's a lovely case. Biggest negative is not a lot of room to play around with when it comes to the hard drive tray in the bottom with the cables coming from the PSU stuffed in very tight. The 5000D looks more spacious though probably not worth swapping out my 4000D for this one thing.
AWESOME "Filtration" video! Suggested title "High Air Flow w/ FILTRATION". As ALL air flow, depends upon GOOD Filtration and I hunt and peck for GOOD videos with demonstration of the 'ease of accessibility' function to maintain good Filtration. I'm on a seemingly personal mission so to speak of shifting focus on to this topic. We worry too much about what goes in the pc cases and the air flow that is solely dependent upon the 'air quality' it gets.
Don’t know if I should get the 4000D or the 5000d for my build. I won’t be doing custom water cooling but I like the look of having a 360mm AIO at the top... 5900x and 3070 vision
i already bought it for the upgrade of my setup, i find this case is so well done honestly. All is there to have the possibility to work with airflow. You can push/pull at the top, you have enough space at the front and has possibility for side fans, and a 6 fan controller is included. For me its not a problem that only 2 fans are included in it, because i take my old fans in this new build, but i can completely understand what you mean. For someone who decide to buy it for its first build to have 3 fans would be greater for sure ! when you keep in mind thaht each fan cost "only" 19$ or something like that^^ I need some components now to put all in my 5000D but im really happy to find a good case for airflow and not so "expensive" and too "fanzy" from the design. I love when its looking really simple from the outside like a classic case with a little modern design touch and then in the inside you make something really crazy haha
Same thermals with the new Corsair case and my 15 years old cooler master 2 I got 10 be quiet case fans in the case. It is not bad and nice looks that is all.
The 3090 amazon link with the "(Good luck :-/)" made me laugh. Great review btw. Usually I stay away from the corsair cases but this one actually gets my vote. It has plenty of space, decent airflow and I really like the 'lazy' cable management option. *toss cables in, shut door, forget about it*
Nice review. As Italian, I appreciate very much your clean speech, which I understand 100%. BTW, in my opinion the 5000D airflow is lacking a bit of originality compared to other solutions, but it's more leaned toward a better functionality.
Please don't say "if you want to be super OCD" OCD is not a joke, it's in the top 5 most debilitating mental disorders. I'm a sufferer. Defining OCD as "being a bit fussy" trivialises a VERY serious disorder. Great video and sorry for complaining, but this lack of understanding for what OCD is and defining it as something trivial isn't helpful.
This might very well be the next case I pick up whenever I'll rebuild my PC. I love the design and the fan options. As someone who has a 5-pack of Arctic P12 PWM fans and a 3-pack of Corsair fans, plus some others laying around, I don't mind the "lack" of fans at all. Pair this bad boi with an Arctic cooler and I think I'd be extremely satisfied with the temps AND its looks! It was no "Gamers Nexus temp test analysis", but it was enough for the average consumer and quite honestly, I do expect it to perform well in many scenarios. The flow and the delivery of the review was also exceptional, Nada. I felt so calm watching this 😅 It was also a bit funny to see you trying to find some cons aside from price and the two fans. Perhaps that they were black instead of white? Haha, guess it's fine, went well with the theme, like you said. Keep up the quality work and hope to see you soon, once the human malware pandemic is over :)
Having one myself, I'm pretty sure the suprime is binned, so when you buy one you win the silicon lottery. I run the card at 1980 MHz stable @ 65c. I have a "closed" case (fractel design 2, meshed front and top), but a few more fans though. No water cooling. Saying it weighs a fuck ton, and thus has a fantastic cooling is stupid. But their cooling of the VRM on the backplate is somewhat unique? And coolers are made of metal, and the bigger the cooler and the more metal you have...the better its performance? Its 375 euros above MSRP so the price is also ridiculously high. @Techtester independent review, 3090 MSI suprime, pretty please?
Hi, A quick heads up if you plan to use the ARCTIC Liquid Freezer II 360 with the 5000D. It uses a thicker rad than most AIO's (38mm). As a result it could not be top mounted with my MSI Z490-Pro A. It would not clear the VRM heatsink, it literally came down to less than 2mm of clearance . I did manage to to mount the 360 at the front. I prefer tubes down but that was a stretch. If your AIO uses a thinner rad you will be fine. None the less I still really like the case and might change the AIO and keep the Arctic for a future build.
155 dollars for a case with just 2 (non-RGB) fans is a huge ouch Curious how the solid front panel one compares up Great video nonetheless. Detailed and entertaining as always
Front fans: I can clearly see at 4:00 there are cutouts and mounting holes for 3x140mm fans. So why do they only support 2? Also, with that optional curved shroud in place at 6:55 it looks like there is plenty of room for a 420mm radiator on the front, so why do they only support a 280?
Weird at the beginning of the year the airflow version was really common in my country (México) stores, easy to get but having the 4000 version I thought "maybe later in the year", now I have 2 months trying to buy it and it's sold out everywhere!! It's available in some stores for around $500 USD!!, I saw the white one version and while I was thinking about the fact of changing colors it went sold out also so finally I was able to get the 5000D (non airflow version) in black :) for about $140 USD shipping included, waiting for it ;)
The 5000d is nicer, but it really depends on what 60$ means to you. The 4000d is a completely fine case if you don't combine an aio with tall memory, or if you can put the savings towards a better cpu or some more storage.
I think they should've flushed the panel for the Airflow models instead of leaving the side-gaps that pretty much invalidates a lot of the purpose of the mesh+dust filter combo.

I am officially jumping ship from O11D XL to this case for future white build. Looking to build one with white Elite capellix 360 AIO as well. Question: do we really lose the ability to put the 3.5 drive cage if we put the optional side PSU cover? at 6:52 I think the drive cage sits all the way into the main PSU cover
I'm gonna buy the 5000D airflow and add 3 fan in front RGB pwn. I'm really interest by the holder GPU , is it possible to have a link for this ? (in white if possible). Thanks for the video , that's help me a lot. :)
Very cool review Nada. Yes, that would be my complaint as well regarding the paltry 2 fans you get with it. And plain ones to boot. Other than that it looks pretty sharp.
Hi sister hope you are doing well, last year i had a negative comment on the G15 from asus eventhough i liked the video obviously. But this year is a complete turn to Asus' lineup, i would love to see your take on the new G15! Take care!
Is this case able to fit 5x 140mm fan? 2 intake front, 2 exhaust cpu radiator on top(hopefully its not touching the ram or mobo like 4000D) and 1 exhaust rear?
@@XInfinityXify Its pretty awesome, airflow in the case is really good. Dropped my temps around 10 degrees from my previous Thermal Take v200. I have 3 120mm front fans, 2 1400mm top and, 1 120 back and it stays nice and cool.
And then they’d get horribly trashed in reviews by anyone not installing any fans. I like the idea in theory, but in reality it’s just too big risk a for the company.
Thanks for the detailed review it was really helpful escpecially about the removal of 3.5 inch HDD if we fit a radiator in front, i just bought a new GPU Gigabyte Aorus RTX 3080 Xtreme 10G, it was so tight in my current case i have "Corsair carbide 175 R", hope my GPU card will fit in this case , but this case falls under expensive one and they could have given one more 120mm fan. I also have a question , i have a 1000W corsair SMPS "Corsair HX1000" and also i have 3.5 HDD and im not placing any Radiator in front, will those to fit under that space?
I have a question, can you add a fan on the side with the metal bracket in place? My thoughts are that the metal brace would direct the airflow onto the motherboard. Is that possible?
I’ll check if you can do that. Normally you’d remove that cover, but maybe it fits. Really doubt it’ll actually help though, it’ll probably just create noise.
You know that urge to buy a new product, but you don't actually need it?
I want the 5000D now.

Just in time!! I am building my first PC and was looking for a Corsair case, I was going for a 680X but just ordered my 5000X
Would definetly go for the airflow version, if I was buying right now. Very informative review, love the white build.

This case is everything the 4000D should have been
Why? They are entirely different target sizes.
Wow! That case looks amazing! Very clean looking.
I just love your simplicity, there is beauty and elegance in simplicity.
Hello can i fit my old 80 mm fans in it ?
i would've like to seen a 140mm fan slot in the back as large as it is. otherwise, it's as solid as it's smaller sibling. gj!
It seems decent. I wonder how it handles dust... meaning how fast does it clog or fill its filters with max number of fans

But why does a airflow case not have room for 140mm fans in all slots?

The BIG Question is : can it take a *Noctua NH-D15 Chromax Black, Dual-Tower CPU Cooler ?*
Such a clean case had to order one for my new build
What about noise performance of this case, with 9 fans?
Can you recommend some very good both airflow and noise reduction case?
Should I get this case or the 4000D airflow????
It’s 60$ more for the 5000D and it’s out of stock . The 4000D is available now.
The 5000d is nicer, but it really depends on what 60$ means to you. The 4000d is a completely fine case if you don't combine an aio with tall memory, or if you can put the savings towards a better cpu or some more storage.
Nice case, good video, thank you :-)
Honestly, the case looks so CLEAN and cool (temp wise)!
I think they should've flushed the panel for the Airflow models instead of leaving the side-gaps that pretty much invalidates a lot of the purpose of the mesh+dust filter combo.

This is my next case, right now I have 6 ll120 fans after I buy the Capellix I might use the included RGB controller to control the last 3 fans
I have this case but sadly pc part picker showed me a motherboard that literally made the usb-c in the front useless so I’m kinda outta luck
I dont see why anyone would pick this for 50-60 euro more over the 4000D airflow? Great review though!

Question: do we really lose the ability to put the 3.5 drive cage if we put the optional side PSU cover? at 6:52 I think the drive cage sits all the way into the main PSU cover
The optional cover closes up the PSU shroud preventing the movement of the HDD cage.

Since I need a huge 1200w PSU, can I move the HDD cage to the front. I`m not using any liquid cooling.
Absolutely
what case is that you use on the background? :) look nice
I want to see review of upcoming Mobile RTX GPUs' reviews and performance benchmarks from TT team!
"soon" 😁
@@TechTesters waiting😄
can you include Canadian prices in reviews? thanks
