    Combining both sides of the tongs into one work piece and then splitting it into 2 is the most brillant thing I‘ve ever seen

    I know this comment is a couple years late, but these tongs are phenomenal. As a new 'smith (about one year under my belt) your videos on chisels, punches and drifts have been invaluable. They were clear, concise, and helpful from every perspective. You are such a great teacher. You should consider charging for online classes or have a beginner tool/project playlist.

    • @workingwithiron
      @workingwithiron  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the kind words. Once I finish my current project I will be doing a lot more in the way of videos and courses. Probably in the new year sometime that will be. February or march maybe. There is a few playlists for tooling and such but not a lot at the moment.

    Exactly how it is taught in Farrier's school. I went through school 37 years ago ( our reference/classroom books dated in 1959. To this day I still make my bolt and wolves this way... Old

      @workingwithiron  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As a blacksmith it's nice to venture into the forging ways of Farriers as there is a lot we can learn from them. A lot of great techniques they use which I'm loving.

    Very nicely done Nath, good looking set of tongs. I like the 'Farrier' style offset that brings the reins into parallel alignment, always wondered why a lot of 'Blacksmiths' tongs don't have that. Really great video

We have some big plans for the future on youtube in the mix at the mo so you may see us working together soon.
