  • How to install your Taco Moto Co. Dynojet Power Commander ‘piggy back’ fuel tuner on your 250-501 KTM or Husqvarna motorcycle.
The differences between the 12-16 models and 17+ are noted in the video.
*On the 12-16 bikes the TPS signal tap is the fifth wire on the top row from the left of bike. Wire may be yellow or yellow/brown depending on year.*
Your Power Commander will come pre loaded with our custom and exclusive Taco Moto Co. maps.
#1 is the full power map for all the send
#2 is the economy map which should deliver improved mileage up to 10% over map 1
These are the best ‘piggyback’ style tuners available. Other tuners are good, the PC is great.

Just installed on my 2024. FYI the module fits perfectly under the seat (for 2024) as the 2024 doesn’t have the same airbox accessibility. It directly behind the battery and underneath one of the main harness plugs. Bike runs so much better and cooler. Thanks guys!

Just installed my DynoJet Power Commander, Map switch, and Pro Moto exhast cap (all from Taco Moto). It went very smoothly and took less time than I expected. This video made it soooo much easier. This was on a 2022 350 EXC-F. My O2 connection was on the right hand side and very easy to access. The plastic cover over the TPS wasn't too difficult to move. I was able to get an allen wrench on the top screw to loosen it a bit that made it easier. It started right up and ran fine with no CEL. Do to rainy weather I was only able to ride it a bit on my property and a short trip on pavement. It seems that the very low speed "flame out" issue is totally gone and it has noticeable more power. It may be just a hair louder than I would like but not really too loud and it has a nice deep throaty sound. I ordered the "ultra silent" insert but don't t think that I will use it. Thanks for the video and great products!

@@TACOMOTOCO unit works and makes the bike run great, also keeps it nice and cool. Very impressive power difference and map fueling is spot on. Only "complaint" is the check engine light comes on occasionally from the o2 delete dongle but makes sense since the stock ecu is looking for that signal. Doing a supermoto build once my wheels and plastics come in and will be sure to mention your product 🤘

@@vondrz1391 it's likely not the PC. I have a 20 xcfw with JD Jetting and it does that (O2 still in place). I just got a 2021 bike and it does it stock, randomly. CEL goes away after restarting the bike.

I have just bought a 2015 Husky Fe 250 european model, it is bog standard exept someone with money to spare has given it a full titanium FMF 4.1system.
No idea how it runs, but the Del West titanium exhaust valves were covered in soft black carbon, so i assume it was running rich. It has a spark arrestor gauze option which is not installed. Will it run ok with this setup for mild use on practice days and maybee enduros, or do i need one of these piggyback ecu's to have any hope of getting the best out of it? Thanks, and your videos are soooo good, with not a sign of corporate cobblers😯😂

As a sorta newbie rider when should I be looking at one of the fuel controller? I just got a new KTM 350excf (off your recommendation vs 2 stroke). I have changed tires and added a skid plate and bar ends and a few other little things.
Should I spend my $ on gas and tires and become better then the power mods or get a proper bike set up first? I'm in southern Idaho so Mt's in the warmer season and desert in the colder months if that matters.

So my 22 Husqvarna fe501s I’m looking into a ecu. The Dynojet is the cheaper setup, I have a few on other bikes that work great but I never set them up personally it was on from previous owner. I’d love your input on which option would be best Dynojet or get rx1? Money isn’t a deal breaker but it does help to save money for other parts. What I want to know is which one would be best for me to buy for a plug and play unit that I won’t have issues with coming from fully stock slowly upgrading things. Exhaust is stock with an end cap everything else is stock currently.

I called the place I bought it from and they assured me I have the right one but after seeing this I’m unsure. Do you know for my bike specifically if that TPS difference applies to me?

    • @JetCityHooligan

I’m pretty sure the tacomoto power commander maps are meant to have the reeds out. Having them in won’t hurt anything, just might run a tad richer, but no you won’t have reprogram if you take them out.

The 12-16 series bikes and the 17-19 series bikes have different ecu’s, connector pin outs and sensor data processing so I don’t think you’d have any success trying to adapt that between the 16 and 17. But if you do I’d love to hear about it 🤘🏽
