- The crème de la crème of military surplus wool pants has always been the Finnish army wool pants. They were one of the most sought-after pieces we ever carried. We had the last known stock of them in our warehouse up in Paradise, CA, and lost them in the 2018 Camp Fire.
Since then, we've built the best replica available. These Swiss Link Classic Wool Pants are a nearly identical copy of the original Finnish Army wool pants. They feature large belt loops, the original flat cargo pockets with button closures as well as the standard front and rear pockets. They're 80% wool which means they're warm as can be and still soft to the touch.

I'm glad Swiss Link is still around! I don't know if Jesus at Swiss Link still works there since I haven't ordered for years. I got way too much random surplus stuff at home, but I gotta say Jesus is pretty cool. I would've visited the shop if I was from up North
Swiss Link is one of my favorite surplus shops, and during the cold seasons like winter right now I actually wear those Finnish pants, but the surplus version, and got the jacket to match I bought yearrsss ago. It's the actual only wool pants I wear every winter at home, the same pants every winter. I don't even need to use the heater (I threw the heater up in the attic in storage cuz I haven't used it for years) at all cuz I got them pants and got the jacket should it really get that cold hehe
On the surplus version I removed the inside plastic water/snow/wind proof knee liners and other plastic inside liners since it would swish-swish noise when I walked, etc., I thought it was uncomfy, and I had no purpose for the liners since I never see any snow in Southern California, but those old surplus Finnish pants are my go-to winter clothing at home, and my original pair is from 1989. I'm actually wearing the pants right now as I type this. I'll probably wear them for decades tbh

Not only did the business burn down, but so did all of our homes. After the fire none of us had anything aside from the clothes on our backs. Camp Fire 2018, look it up.
