That is encouraging. I'm vegan plant-based and have been on top cruise lines that had horrible vegan options. Nothing other then fruit and veggie plates and rarely a protein. You'd think most cruise ships now would have evolved. I will also probably book the Haven to have private area away from muggles and their screaming children, or tacky buffet items that look more like McDonald's. I was so fortune in my 30s to be a performer on Celebrity and Crystal and the cooks all knew me and made amazing dishes. From what friends say --HAVEN on NCL though pricer is the way to go. As one gets a concierge and butler and and your concierge can inform cooks of your needs or the butler will even serve you in your cabin from any restaurant including the Haven restaurant. Actually many of my hard core first class cruiser friends say NCL Haven is even better than first class Cunard. And I rather pay extra for 1st class service. Haven-- allows for private embarkment/disembarkment and ability to before even boarding to talk to your butler on your habits and needs. My vegan friends who did Haven NCL said it was so wonderful to arrive on the first day and already have their favorite tea and cappuccino with oat milk sent to their cabin with an assortment of fruit and vegan pastry with out having to worry about finding this stuff "by luck" on a menu or dealing with all the crowds and buffets. Concierge in haven will see your waiter/waitress can get you any thing from the Haven bar or restaurant bought to your cabin, or private pool area so need to wait in line for anything too. What a lot of people don't understand is if you go on a smaller cruise like 5 day the price of Haven is about the price of suite/balcony on a 7 day. So living here in Long Beach, it is so easy to cruise to Mexico first class with no drama. No flight, and to ship from my home in 15 minutes. But yes sadly most ships are heavy animal carcass, dairy, fried etc. So it is super important if you or your kids have allergies to talk with the ship before boarding about dietary needs. I had a friend who had a kid who had a serious shrimp allergy and his throat closed up . Scary shit. But then again I would never be stupid enough to eat shell fish in the first place. And though Carnival has cleaned up a bit. I know no fewer than 6 people that got severe food poisoning on Carnival. Buffets are notorious. Think of it .. 1000s of passengers all dipping their dirty hands into food, kids etc. Nasty .. Which is again why if I travel cruise I alway go for private cruising areas with no kids, and ability to talk to cook or staff about my needs. If you are going to pay and invest in a cruise you owe it to yourself and family to get the healthier vegan choices you want. The last thing anyone wants is to be sick during a cruise. And food poisoning happens more than one thinks. Be smart.
You ask when you do your booking. I also do a follow up call to make sure they added it to our reservation. Every evening you can pre order for next day .
@@worldtravels1441 thank you for responding. I’ve called NCL 6 times and each associate tells me that they only are able to see Vegetarian options. No one will confirm that they have a vegan menu. I’ve only seen this on your page and from other travelers on Social Media. I emailed the access desk yesterday for help. I’m waiting on their response. Also where did you travel? The trip I’m look at is the Greek Isles 10 day.
@@Sherry21ful i traveled to Caribbean from port Canaveral on NCL Escape which was very good. Same with Epic : port canaveral to Caribbean. They have vegan menus on request but i noticed quality is different from ship to ship.
