Rain Water Tank Overflow Irrigation System.

We have decided to use the rain water tank overflow as irrigation for the orchard over the summer months. Due to the vegetable garden water storage tank being on a timer there may be times where the tank may overflow, not wanting to waste the water we are diverting the overflow to irrigate the orchard via an agi drain pipe. This will allow not only for irrigation but drainage for the winter months. After trail and error we finally installed the agi pipe and test the system, it works well. Another success.

Looking at your land, it obviously has a downhill slope towards the mulberry trees and the reason that one is failing is because while it gets too much water, the second tree is protected from excessive runoff by the chook house. If this idea doesn't work, you might like to think about a swale, above the chicken yard/gardens. It only has to be enough such as a keyline to slow that water down..... Just a thought...
