FYI everyone.. if you call for roadside service they will usually ask if you are in a safe place. I fib and tell them I am very close to cars wizzing by. They will prioritize you so you are not on the bottom of the list.

Boy howdy I remember when used tires were $15. I used to pay $100 for all brand new tires. I just got new tires last year for appox $200. Not bad for California. I know things will settle back to the less stressful soon enough miss Glenda ❤

My transmission went out 1.5 years ago. Been using my daughters extra car. Having to make repairs on their car also. Have to still make payments and pay the insurance. So close to having it paid off. Then will decide, if I need this car. Being a senior without a companion isnt easy. My husband was my mechanic.
Those General tires look like new tires. Not a bad deal. I would try to get two more of them when you get paid. With winter coming, you need decent tires. Speaking of winter, please try and carry a blanket or heavy coat and hat when you drive. Your car isn’t reliable anymore, and you need to prepare. You are smart not to buy another car. I know how it is when older cars need repairs. I had a 2002 Subaru Forester and it needed a catalytic converter. It wouldn’t pass inspection. I couldn’t afford it so I had to sell it to someone who will fix it and drive it for the winter . I didn’t get much for it . We just can’t survive on SS retirement.

My son who goes through such a depression had to put brakes on his cavilier car and other things, and his brother took it to see about inspection and the man took a picture of the frame it was full of holes and it would not pass. So I keep her hobbling along with a repair here and there. Over a years time it’s much cheaper than a car payment. I too had a roadside repair person pulled up in a little car. Bright red sports car. He had an impact wrench to change my tire with and it took only five minutes. 🚗

Glenda, you're just going through a rough patch now with your vehicle. After you make a few repairs to it, it will go into (what I call) "remission" and behave itself for awhile. Believe me, I know what I'm talking about. From 2005 until March of this year, I drove around in a 1992 Ford F150 conversion van (with the high top, TV, VCR and gaming station 🤣, with captain's chairs and a bench seat in the back that converted into the most comfortable queen sized bed that a little dog ever languished upon!) Yep. When I bought it, I had my Fluffy (a male Polish Lowland Sheepdog -- $20 from the local animal shelter. I paid $6,000 for the van in 2005. It only had about 58,000 miles on it (highway miles, of course 😂). When I finally got rid of it this March 2023, it had 285,000 miles on it and was on its third transmission. AAA and I were on first name basis. Fluffy and I had many adventures in that van. I got a used 2017 Honda Accord in March, with 35,000 miles on it. I feel like I am driving some high-end luxury machine compared to that old van! Things will get better, Honey. Look how far you have come with your shoulder. Just hang in there a little longer and the tide will start to turn. (Hopefully, it won't be a tsunami!)❤ I'm excited for you making your holiday treats. I, too, will be slaving away in the kitchen for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. My new daughter-in-law isn't fond of cooking. My son is fond of eating. So there I am.

I’m sorry Mrs Glenda, it seems it’s always something. I’ve had so many nails and screws to puncture my tires. It’s very frustrating I know, when I bought my new Toyota RAV4 back at the end of 2019 within a couple of months I picked up a screw in one of the tires, it couldn’t be repaired, so I had to buy a new tire to basically replace a new tire that got damaged. It was around $200, talking about making me sick, it did. I’m like you, why do people let nails and screws drop? I pray things settle down for you. It’s been rough around my place for the past few weeks, my brother in law got deathly sick with an infection all over. He had a heart valve replacement august was a year ago, and the infection caused him to have the valve replaced again. IV antibiotics started to damage his kidneys and was on dialysis for a brief time. He was moved to a rehab facility today for about 20 days to help him gain his strength. Please pray he will get back to himself, I’m worried about him and my sister too. So much was going on with him and he is only 60. Have a good night and take care!!!

Yeah that’s a good deal I just got new tires at discount tire almost payed off with their no interest 6 month credit card cause I didn’t just have 1 k . It’s been same here one thing after another , being single is Rough …now had a new battery put in and got to get something else done .it never ends .and not to mention Christmas…my 3 kids grown but I still want to get a few small presents . The costs of everything leaves me no money to save and if I put little away something happens …am I the only one or do others struggle like me I wonder ….

You're so right it seems like there's always something happening when you least expected it to. I had to endure a few nights a couple of weeks ago without adequate heat in my new apartment. All because nobody was here to let the utility worker inside my unit a day after I had signed the lease and paid my first month's rent and security deposit prior to moving in to unlock the gas meter. Not mention replace the unit defective parts on it. I had to sleep under layers of covers and fully clothed except for shoes to stay warm. I've been sick since the 2nd of this month. I finally went to the doctor on Friday morning and she had labs drawn up on me,along with a EKG. In a few days I'm scheduled to get diagnostic imaging done on my abdomen to see what's going on with me. My second oldest son just had surgery on his back to remove an large infected abscess after the antibiotics weren't cutting it alone. He says that he's much better today. Meanwhile I'm at my wits end trying to get my youngest son to help himself to get where he needs to be. He got himself banned permanently from our new place doing something that I told him was strictly against the rules before he could be added to the lease. My other son is doing better he stopped getting booted out of group homes or shelters as the result of doing something major against the rules. I'm glad that you at least was able to get some reasonably priced replacement tires on your car. It's no fun being stranded for hours waiting for roadside service especially at night on the road by one's self. I hope that you have an great rest of your evening my friend.💖

Yep. When I bought it, I had my Fluffy (a male Polish Lowland Sheepdog -- $20 from the local animal shelter. I paid $6,000 for the van in 2005. It only had about 58,000 miles on it (highway miles, of course 😂). When I finally got rid of it this March 2023, it had 285,000 miles on it and was on its third transmission. AAA and I were on first name basis. Fluffy and I had many adventures in that van. I got a used 2017 Honda Accord in March, with 35,000 miles on it. I feel like I am driving some high-end luxury machine compared to that old van! Things will get better, Honey. Look how far you have come with your shoulder. Just hang in there a little longer and the tide will start to turn. (Hopefully, it won't be a tsunami!)❤ I'm excited for you making your holiday treats. I, too, will be slaving away in the kitchen for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. My new daughter-in-law isn't fond of cooking. My son is fond of eating. So there I am.

Make sure if you get newer tires that you get them rotated regularly for even wear. My Jeep has been knocking for over 2 years. It's about ready to throw a rod.

I’m sorry Mrs Glenda, it seems it’s always something. I’ve had so many nails and screws to puncture my tires. It’s very frustrating I know, when I bought my new Toyota RAV4 back at the end of 2019 within a couple of months I picked up a screw in one of the tires, it couldn’t be repaired, so I had to buy a new tire to basically replace a new tire that got damaged. It was around $200, talking about making me sick, it did. I’m like you, why do people let nails and screws drop? I pray things settle down for you. It’s been rough around my place for the past few weeks, my brother in law got deathly sick with an infection all over. He had a heart valve replacement august was a year ago, and the infection caused him to have the valve replaced again. IV antibiotics started to damage his kidneys and was on dialysis for a brief time. He was moved to a rehab facility today for about 20 days to help him gain his strength. Please pray he will get back to himself, I’m worried about him and my sister too. So much was going on with him and he is only 60. Have a good night and take care!!!

I was just thinking about my tires today I'm wondering how much longer I have on them, I know sometime along the way that's going to come up for me. Yeah that’s a good deal I just got new tires at discount tire almost payed off with their no interest 6 month credit card cause I didn’t just have 1 k . It’s been same here one thing after another , being single is Rough …now had a new battery put in and got to get something else done .it never ends .and not to mention Christmas…my 3 kids grown but I still want to get a few small presents . The costs of everything leaves me no money to save and if I put little away something happens …am I the only one or do others struggle like me I wonder ….

You're so right it seems like there's always something happening when you least expected it to. I had to endure a few nights a couple of weeks ago without adequate heat in my new apartment. All because nobody was here to let the utility worker inside my unit a day after I had signed the lease and paid my first month's rent and security deposit prior to moving in to unlock the gas meter. Not mention replace the unit defective parts on it. I had to sleep under layers of covers and fully clothed except for shoes to stay warm. I've been sick since the 2nd of this month. I finally went to the doctor on Friday morning and she had labs drawn up on me,along with a EKG. In a few days I'm scheduled to get diagnostic imaging done on my abdomen to see what's going on with me. My second oldest son just had surgery on his back to remove an large infected abscess after the antibiotics weren't cutting it alone. He says that he's much better today. Meanwhile I'm at my wits end trying to get my youngest son to help himself to get where he needs to be. He got himself banned permanently from our new place doing something that I told him was strictly against the rules before he could be added to the lease. My other son is doing better he stopped getting booted out of group homes or shelters as the result of doing something major against the rules. I'm glad that you at least was able to get some reasonably priced replacement tires on your car. It's no fun being stranded for hours waiting for roadside service especially at night on the road by one's self.
