This beautiful lady was 18, in university, a golden key law student, NOW A GREAT MOM…please take all your flowers young lady 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹you are doing amazing
I will not know how it feels like to have a child with disability, I don't know what the parents go through. I am just here to tell all mommies that have to take care of their children who have challenges, you are doing a great job. Your children are so lucky to have you as their mothers. Kudos to you all ❤❤❤
They go through hello sis. i am 30 years and i was born disabled even though i dont see myself that way.My cries so much when she tells me what she went through.
I also have a child with down syndrome. A beautiful 4 year old boy with lots of energy and so loving. 😊. Mommies we r just blessed because these bundles of joy teach us so much about life...😊
I lost mine 2021 at 7 months as he had a holes n his valves were not good, operated him stayed in sunjinghill hspl for 2 full months but he got tired and lost the battle. He's resting peacefully but I miss him so much. When I come across a child with down syndrome I hug kiss them always. people don't understand.
I'm a mom to a 9 years old daughter, God I thank God for trusting me with her life. I have learned a lot about myself and my strength. I know that our kids are capable, therefore I don't limit her. The day I received the diagnosis , I said ''GOD , MANY WILL SEE THE WORK OF YOUR HAND THROUGH HER LIFE" and It has been a forever a miracolous journey for us. Yes , we do have challenges and I do backslide sometimes but we have a lot of celebratory moments. A BIG HIGH FIVE TO YOU MUM AND ALL THE MOTHERS WHO ARE RAINING THE ANGELS, MY DAUGHTER CONTINUE TO ROCK HER EXTRA DESIGNER GENES WITH PRIDE. 🥰🥰🥰
My daughter is 15 now. She has down syndrome, yooh. You are just taking me back to the day she was born. The horror of giving birth to a disabled child unprepared. So many times I nearly killed her. Thankfully I have a very supportive family and boyfriend. If it wasn't for them hhayi ngabe kwabheda. The shame I felt, I thought there was something wrong with me.😢Please support parents with disabled kids and stop staring at us when you see us. Teach your kids to be kind. Thank you for this interview. ❤Mommy you are strong. You will get someone that will love you and your child. Luckily we are still together with my now hubby. We had two more sons after 6 years of fearing to get pregnant again. My boys are just perfect. I still cry for her though, the thought that she will always need me...
Yes my dear we become worried, what will happen when we are gone but God is watching them. Our famalies mustore involved.Mine he's 15yrs now, attending School, playing a piano,Too friendly nd it wasn't easy at all.God Bless 🙏💕
Me too mine is 4 yrs now he can't walk properly and he is still learning how to talk it's very hard, but I thank God because the doctors said he is fine now he can live without pills 🙏
I never want to refer to woman going through something as strong, I find it insensitive because its not like they have a choice. Listening to this young lady's story brought me to tears, the only word I could think of is how strong she is. Your journey has taught me so much. I am so impowered. I dont have a child with challenges but that has been my biggest fear. Right now, I know that no matter what type of child I get, they deserve love. I hope you get all the support for your little one so that they can get to be independent in whichever way they can be. I loved your interview.
Oh Motlatso, thank you for owning your story. Thank you for what you're doing for Ole and every child whose voices need to be heard. Thank you for stepping into what you believe is your purpose. No words. All the best❤
I was 38 years old when I was pregnant last year. My gynae gave me no peace when I refused to get the Down syndrome test. I eventually changed gynecologists and found one that respected my wishes. I send my love, Miss Mama. Walk with grace. Our children choose us.❤
What a compelling and profound story. Motlatso’s life continues to be an inspiration for many. I am proud of you for finding your voice and sharing your life so generously and authentically.
From the breaking news about trisomy 21 to Swollen kidneys and dealing with a removed bladder ,from that situation to a hole in the heart and not just that mother also was not in a good state dealing with unwanted pregnancy the outcomes of it hormones based emotions that comes with it this was too much and it’s still.Ooh Lord I genuinely appreciate Her Family for the Support Her .Wow🎉
Oh babe, your story just took me back to the year 2000 when i had my 1st child and she was not well and ended up passing on 7 days later. Its such a painful journey and I never thought I'd heal but I'm at peace now.❤❤❤ A big thank you to all the nurses who are empathetic in these situations. You make it bearable, especially for 1st time mothers.❤
I feel like this episode was short compared to other episodes. Alot of people out there need to hear more about how she got to that space of acceptance.
Oh my love you taking me to 20 years back when we were in and out of hospital appointments (speech therapy, occupational therapy, counselling and other) but with God grace we survived… she is now 20 years old Down syndrome and I thank God and my family for this journey… I was 19 years same age as you when I gave birth to her
We thank you for raising this topics of our children with special needs this journey is very special to us because we can see at the end we're rock's stronger than the pain in our hearts we love them they our the most high quality and very special ones❤
Beautiful intelligent young woman❤ God made no mistakes my dear his a God of purpose and he knew that u are a best candidate for this task so be strong and courageous my dear and embrace this journey keeping your strong connection with God and all will be well❤❤❤
Good day Promise --watching from USA. Heard about your podcast and have watched a handful of your podcasts- Am a lawyer who enjoys real stories and you have been so great in getting outstanding guests. I don't know if I am overstepping as I wanted to give you some constructive criticism. No-one is perfect but please before you bring your guests do look over what they will be talking about. You can come off so offensive and sometimes clueless as in not bright kind off and I know you are an intelligent young lady but by studying the content of the guest coming on the show --you can then ask not so offensive questions making your guests comfortable so they are not asking you what do you mean? on certain topics or correcting you when you get offensive with certain words used in the community. Keep doing good! Love your show!
As an advocate for competitive pay and inclusion in the workplace for people with disabilities, I say kudos to you mama! Thanks for sharing your/Ole's story! You're doing an amazing job!We see you!💫💫💫💐💐❤️❤️
Oh our former MEC Onnica Moloi, she was such a brilliant MEC of Sports Arts and Culture dept. The dept was never the same after she left. Motlatjo strongs girl, Modimo a refe merwalo ye re ka se e kgonego.
My baby was diagnosed with trisomy 13 at 12 weeks, my gyny told me the chances of carrying full term were slim and even if i do carry full term the baby was going to die after giving birth. We were also advised to medical abortion and same week i had miscarriage.
Ijoo guys , I love Promise content. Keep it up my sister. Motlatso, God will not give you what you can't handle. He will never leave you or forsake you & Ore. ❤
What a beautiful episode. Motlatso you are doing well my love. I loved the whole conversation. Promise thank you for always giving us a platform to learn. ❤❤
Keep up the courage sis ❤. I Can't believe there are other humans who make such insensitive comments knowing very well no mother/no child chooses any kind of disability. Don't dim your light for your kids.
It's crazy how we were told we will be giving birth to a child with down syndrome and when he was born he was perfectly normal with no disability. I went through the most with that pregnancy. My son is 4 now. Loving your gained strength mommy
My dear God will give you more strength because you already conquered a lot tough times.Let your your baby go for Speech Therapist also let him attend School nd learn an extra thing to be busy with .I have a 15 year old boy,I let him attend a piano class bcs they come at School nd offer them lessons of different things like seimming .They help them to develop self confidence,We mothers understand them more.Im proud of you my dear.Good luck with your future.God is watching you.Amen 🙏🥰💞

Ma’am you look like Meagan 😍🥹 such a beautiful lady May God continue granting you strength to raise Ole with so much love and care ❤ Thank you so much for opening up and educating us about trisomy 21
I propose that you say a quest who is invited to your channel; even if they reach out to you, after reading their story and you decide to invite them or not. Just to keep it professional.
I'm 31 years old but I've learnt a lot from this lady thabk you mommy. The interview was very informative but the Skomota question was really unnecessary
the interviewer does not have a right choice of words , she has no manners , when the guest was introducing herself , she was interrupting with words like "yoh" "hah" . Like what the .......?
I don’t think it’s lack of manners, it’s not knowing how to react/respond to sensitive topics. Which needs a bit of improvement, but I loved how mature and understanding the guest was❤
We were never told about assertive communication; we need to educate each other. Rather phrase how she should say it. That will give us direction in the future.
A little bit of research on the topics could come a long way so that one is able to engage in a sensitive manner. For example, she asked about “physical defects” which I believe is something a host can refrain from saying if research is/was done prior… I know a disclaimer was made but still, it will result in fruitful conversations while you still showing courtesy
@@tlomatsanatebogo2347 I went to varsity with her at UFS and I'm 27 this year. We were in the same LLB class and I'm also confused with the age and stuff. She didn't have a child then because I follow her and the 5year old is quite recent
I was sobbing meanwhile watching this , this is so painful to watch and listen at the same time 😢🫂 , oh my inhliziyo im sending virtual love and hugs to you mommy . With the bladder issue I relate but with a different condition i was born with SPINA BIFIDA and my bladder literally controls itself freely , at my big age of 22years i wear adult pads i am also a mom to a 5month old baby , yeah I can imagine❤🥺

The last question about Skomota is unnecessary and erodes the presenter's respect.

I’m here❤
Motlatso Moloi.
As em waiting🤔
😅
So she's now 25, and she gave birth while she was 18, but the baby is five 🤔. 25 -5 =20. It means she gave birth at 20
She said she FELL pregnant when she was 18 not that she gave birth at 18 and her child is TURNING 6. And she’s 25 makes perfect sense.
