    As women we need to refrain from dating married men. The fact that she moved in the same house ya ex wife.
    Let's not be the deciding factor of a marriage ending.
    She lacks empathy for what the ex wife had to go through

    Nna I want us to touch on finances and investments in blended families from policies, sharing of pension fund should you die, the Will, the most suitable and realistic marriage contract to benefit all kids in the blended family.
    Do we blend our finances and investments as well to benefit the entire children/family?
    Do we plan for the future and uncertainties of the future as a blended family. When we say your kids are my kids, do we mean it in ALL aspects?
    I am not referring to things like I buy my kid a pair of tekkies and I buy yours as well.
    E.g Should I die, is it fair for my 1 kid to share assets with 3 of your kids where as she will not be benefiting anything from their biological mother.
    I feel like we romantisize alot and willy dilly around lots of things and never really get to the hard issues complex issues.

      I've never thought of the dynamics of a blended family to this extent.This is such an important topic that needs to be discussed.

    • @lesam965
      @lesam965 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      @@KamoMamabolo I honestly always do. Most people seem to be doing okay with blending families in terms of LIVING expenses (it's easy to share groceries, rent, entertainment, school fees to an extent) but is there a sit down to say okay e.g I will include my own children in policies/investments/Will and you cover your own kids and if we have biological kids together then I will include them. What about the house we live in? I wonder how this is addressed in blended families. Most of the time such things cause a divide when parents are no more.

    • @MLM424
      @MLM424 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      So glad someone brought it up. It's so difficult speaking on blended families as a step mom because we are so vulnerable to being labeled unfair but honestly where do we draw the line between being practical vs making decisions based on emotions. The exact example you make of a step child basically having and benefiting from 3 parents as opposed to the children within the marriage which only have and will benefit from 2 parents is so key and always overlooked! Even with living expenses it's a slipper slope nje because the minute you point it out now you are deemed as only looking out for your biological kids. Go boima

    Right at the start of this interview I love Mma Letsoalo already, but the calling of the ex wife “baby momma” isn’t sitting too nice with me. This is a woman that kept herself and only has children with her husband, let’s accord her that respect maybe refer to her as ex wife, baby momma is a bit tarnished these days..I am not a wife or mom though so I might be wrong… this is just my 2 cents🤷‍♀️

    • @sparrow62210
      @sparrow62210 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I concur.According to me, the term is used in society in manner and intention to belittle someone Therefore,I find it disturbing and disgusting.As a result, it then means all women that have kids should be referred to as baby mama,regardless of a marital status as we are all highly favoured and amazing human beings ❤

    Promise you need to allow people to speak in their own language cause they express themselves better. I feel it's unfair to ask people to speak only English, what if someone desperately wants to share their story but can't speak English?.. I suggest you get someone to assist you with subtitles.

    and the truth is i was waiting to get older so that i can ask her why she stayed in a horrible marriage for us . we were better of being raised by them separated then them together

      No man can be taken from his marriage, and no man can be convinced to leave the woman he loves. You give side chicks too much undue power. The power remains with the man, he makes the choice. Women must stop redirecting/shift the blame to other women, call out the adulteror in the marriage by his right name. By the way I'm a married woman too.

    Basadi y'all are so brazen hey.
    Coming on podcasts & so casually speaking about how when you met your now husband he was still married and living with his wife.
    Of course you and the now ex wife are not gonna be friends, you saying you & the wife don't have to be friends as if it's a choice? Lol it was not by choice.
    Men move crazy but as women we move equally crazy.
    She fought with the husband for 2 years because she didn't want his kids to live with them👀 but yena she came with her 2? Her 2 kids were supposed enjoy that man as a present father in the home everyday while his biological kids were only supposed to experience him during visits when they had been living with their father before she came into the picture according to her logic? Yah no basadi😂

    I know it is nice to be chosen, but the sentiment that men are always worthy of acceptance and that as women we are being done a favour by being chosen irks me. We evaluate women and put value on them based on their probability of being chosen but we are not evaluating these cheating men with kids as not worthy of acceptance. There can be no friendship between the x-wife and current wife when the entry and exit dates are blurred, OBVIOUSLY....

    Filth, but ke who am I to judge. Akere le nna they left me after 15 years of marriage for a quicky. No problem love, enjoy yourself and your "lovely" marriage. That woman is broken beyond the core, but she will heal one day. Wena just dance in there, it's okay. Enjoy her house for now. She gave you the kids because she is grieving and trying to rebuild what she had built that you just came in to acquire. I'm so irritated by this ignorance. But dearest karma is a bitch. Men do what they do because women allow it. She had kids out of wrdlock and she is rewarded with another woman's husband lawd. The husband is INSANE to force his kids to live with him and woman who didn't want them for 2 years when he could have kept his family together. They deserve each other

      Exactly. I have experienced this first hand as a child. Those kids will not love her much when they older because they will understand what their mother was going through and she played a huge role.

    In Botswana, nowadays children dont change surnames to their mothers if they get married. I agree with that coz they end up losing natural identity. But then they keep the mother's maiden surname.

    You can’t call the ex wife a baby mama. You are disrespectful. Secondly you bringing your own children to your marriage and your husband must welcome them but you can’t accept his? Do you even truly love his kids or you just tolerating because of the husband?

  • @KhalirendweKhorommbi
    @KhalirendweKhorommbi 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    I actually think old people wanted women to raise their own kids because no women could ever love someone's kids. It was to protect the kids from the other woman not the other way round. Kids are innocent and even when they are being abused, they can keep quiet. Right now, because the kids want to stay with their father, you could abuse them, and they will not say a thing because they would be scared that they won't stay with their father.
    But overall, good interview. Lets try not to lead each other astray though. It's always good when it's not being done to you. When the tables are turned, haaaaaa things will be different and you will curse the day you are born.

      @@IamBarati It's unfortunate that that's the case ( stepmoms are seen as bad people to the kids) . Mentioning it doesn't mean I am for it, no ways. There are good step-moms out there ❤️❤️My main point was that the "old sayings" were to protect the kids not the other way around.
      I am sorry if you are in that situation or if you know someone who is in it , I wouldn't pray it on anyone.

      @@KhalirendweKhorommbi stepfathers are more likely to abuse children. My mother was very strict and I thank her for it. If she were a stepmom I'm sure I'd be claiming she was abusive. It's a horrible position to be in as a woman. I wish women would stop marrying men with kids because they are so vulnerable and the whole world will believe you to be evil simply because kids are innocent. Kids aren't innocent. Anyway sure my sistyer
