I'm with Sean here. I have two channels with the exact same content but in different languages and it's a lot of work for a one-man team. The error was that starting out, I was indecisive on whether to do videos in Spanish or English and I uploaded both to the same channel. This created a lot of confusion in my audience, therefore I decided to separate them. Even though both channels are growing, I do acknowledge that the amount of dedication and volume of uploads per channel is lower that if I had only one as I have to make two versions of every video. Hoping to scale in the future to pass on the editing to someone and just concentrate on creating. So I agree to first concentrate on growing one channel and then being assertive on when to scale to a second.
Exploring the idea of starting a second TH-cam channel can offer new opportunities for content creation, audience expansion, and diversifying your creative endeavors.
I could never decide on a specific thing so spread myself too thin across multiple channels posting multiple times per week. I realized it's too much effort to have 9-5 and try build multiple small channels. Deciding to just create within a loose niche and let itself unfold. As this allows me to have all my content on a single page (more consistency) and exercise my creativity within loose rails (e.g. tech instead of say just tech careers / ai). It was listening to Think Media & Alex Hormozi that influenced the change to a single focus. Thank you as always Sean.
There’s me settling in for a nice long watch and it is all done in under a couple of minutes. Interesting how the onscreen setup impacts your mental expectations. Great points made though.
I've got a couple of channels, I have my graphic software tutorial channel and also I have a book review channel, I don't think a book review (comic books etc) would mix well with Photoshop tutorials and as I love both. I have muddied the waters with my software channel in that I notice that now I have created lots of Affinity Photo ones, the Photoshop ones don't do as well (the newly added, the old ones still do fine in the search) so I wish I had created a graphicxtras (Photoshop or Adobe) and a graphicxtras (Affinity) channel as that does cause some clash. Likewise with my books, I put up a lot of comic book ones, most of the time the other books (that I love such as Photography or Art in general) do badly compared to the focus on comic books. I really wish youtube had modelled it as a sub channel approach where everything is under one channel but you could have a folder structure of 'Photoshop' videos and 'Affinity ' videos etc ... perhaps I am just overthinking it. People can have about 20+hobbies or interests and want to create videos on all those subjects
I hear this! My main channel is getting boxed into a very specific niche, making think that any other content should live on a separate channel. But it's hard for new creators to focus on feeding the machine across multiple channels at once. Best of luck!
I made a 2k24 channel. It did really well for a few months. I Got bored of the game and started doing NCAA 25 content. I’m not getting much traction in NCAA. Wish I made another channel for ncaa
There are also people that have a lots of interests that are dedicated to or they want to do the same in different languages , so no matter if you are a new or established u do what u like if you focused and love what u do u gonna succeed anyways
Anyone has any thought on starting a second channel if you been on TH-cam for about 6 years ( in my case) and it’s not going anywhere…. Is TH-cam no longer trying to help push because my channel is older and no one is checking for me ?😧😧😔
I really need some help. I would like to know: is it better to have different playlists about videos on one youtube channel? Or is it better to have different youtube channels dedicated to those videos that's on specific playlists? Meaning: instead of having ONE youtube channel with various videos with different topics and playlists, one can have different youtube channels with videos dedicated to their respective topics..? I ask this because I hear a lot of TH-camrs say that it is better to create content that's specific to each niche than to have different videos on one channel about different topics/subjects. Because apparently this affects how the algorithm treats your channel and that it's better to be more precise/specific in terms of niche. And since I have a lot of videos about different things like how to make beats, sampling tutorials, movie trailer music remakes, music mashups, funny edits, etc., even though all the music is made with the same software, I wonder if I should make more playlists or just start new channels for each of these subjects that I make videos about. Would really appreciate some feedback or just your opinion. 🙏
After watching this, I've decided to stick with one channel, and use the different 'playlists' to categorize more specific topics. Let's see if this works. Definitely easier with one channel
If you have a 2nd channel, will the subs and viewers on the 1st channel know you own the 2nd channel? Can they find it out? And can you set them to be private and not visible that they belong to each other? I know 1 guy who does 3 channels and they are all visible to each other, but he may have set them that way. He DOES endorse them as all his too. /// But 1 of my channels, I want anonymoity. I don't want others to see its mine unless I say hey go check this out... etc. I hope for some advise on this. Thanks.
I am still confused what should i do, this is my gaming channel but now i want to upload my moto vlog conten, what should i do should i upload it here or make an another channel for it?
How do you weigh the benefits between starting a new channel for my podcast versus incorporating it into my main channel with just over 800 subscribers?
My channel is 7 years old. Do I start a new one or keep it pushing with this one considering the fact that I've had a few copyright strikes and also have not hit the TH-cam partner program requirements?
I really have a problem about my niche... it's been two month that I stopped uploading videos, because I want to change my niche... and of course I'm working with a friend that he tags me on every video and I want to change my niches to his niches... what do you recommend... change my niches in this channel or start a new one... I don't have much subscribers just 270
Hey guys, I have a cooking channel and I speak English and Spanish. Should I have two channels one for English and one for Spanish? I notice that if I upload Spanish videos to my English Channel I don’t get very many views.
I have been watching your videos and when I heard you mention your faith along with Ken Coleman and Dave Ramsey I know I am going in the right direction. I currently have 30 subs and I am going all in consuming everything I can. Is it a good idea to have a podcast that accompanies your channel?
i just started a second and a third channel because my first channel has like 15 main topics, and so now I am splitting up the topics into different channels. I have over 1000 subscribers, but I am a little concerned and I hope it is the right choice. Advice?
There's huge audience and this huge divided according to their taste....... Suppose you have intrest in music, cooking and traveling.... And if you create a music then definitely music lovers will SUSCRIBE your channel and definitely they are not interested to watch your cooking and traveling vlogs....... So i believe we should run 2 channel just bsz we luv sharing every moment of family bsz with respect of time audience becomes our family and we love to share everything with our family. ❤
It will become a very hectic job to handle several channels at once by your own. If you have a team then it's okay, otherwise you'll be doing 9-5 job handling multiple channels.
To succeed with a new TH-cam channel in 2023, focus on creating high-quality content that resonates with your target audience, optimizing your videos for search and discovery, engaging with your viewers through comments and social media, and consistently promoting and growing your channel.

Are you moving content from one channel to another or just posting all new content to the one channel you've decided to focus on?

Me too, I ignored on first impression suspecting it to be 40min long. However on second impression I seen under 2mins - perfect for me.

thank you!!!! I was wondering about it at the right time but now it's clear
I'm so glad that my video was able to provide the answers you were looking for.
Thank you for these, short and sweet valid points to consider. I think another crucial factor is the goal of the person in question.
you phrased it so well - what works for one does not work for the other

Some people just take the pressure but you can just put that on your normal channel. It's still different viewers
