I got monetized in 60 days. The 4000 WT hours was the hardest. Then, I started working on a digital product to help people more... I burned out immediately. I realized I can't spread my focus too thin. I've put together a plan where I return to my channel soon and finish my digital product with more balance. You need to take care of yourself so this does not happen to you! Balance is key.
I got monetized in 26 days and my first payment was deposited in my bank account today. I must be honest I don’t know how or why it happened. 3 of my first 5 videos have sort of blown up and are pretty amateurish. I was just doing it for fun. I used old pics and vids saved on my iPhone SE. Some were 5 years old. Also edited with CapCut on my iPhone. I retired this year so I guess I now have a new venture. My 91 year old father went into hospice and died one month ago today so I haven’t had a chance to do anymore videos yet. I’ve had a channel for years but didn’t do anything with it. I’m approaching a half million views in the 75 days since my first long form video. Still don’t know how it happened but here I am!
That is amazing and so inspiring! Makes me wanna go check out your channel, lol. (Which I will do in a minute) I bet it’s because people can see you are real and authentic though! Best wishes on the rest of your journey!
@@readingcanbemagical I just posted on TH-cam for fun. After the first one started running a little bit I thought maybe I have something here! The next few I was a little more deliberate in trying to make something interesting. It was all organic views.
Took me 3 months to get monetized. My first week being monetized I was generating $70 a day on my shorts content. No long form yet. It's looking like it'll be around $2100 my first month. I'm pushing out 3-4 shorts per week of outdoor related content. It's not easy but I also come from a background of photography and cinematography. Shooting with a Canon C70 and 18-80 lens. Sennheiser 416 mic. I also do it solo. My wife tries to motivate me every day to push harder.
I am over 50 and just started working out at a gym for the first time in my life last year. I went from curling 3lb weights to 25-30lb weights….PATIENCE is everything next to consistency. I have 4 subs and 2 vids rn….I know I’ll have so much more in a year 🤓 I won’t ever quit on myself EVER again and if you are reading this, neither should you 🧡
Good on you. I've been working out 17 years and only just decided to start a TH-cam to help others getting into working out! And obviously personal achievements if people want to follow that progress and what it's like going through. Well done for starting your fitness journey it's a long road but it will change your life! - Billy
If you're reading this, don't forget that you are here for a purpose and are unique, therefore you have something to offer that no one else in the world does...stick with it, you can do this!!!
This information honestly excites me. It's like a blueprint. If you're good with making $60,000 a year from youtube this video gave you several key action steps to align with. Start with one. Make them milestones. The money is out there. Just takes some strategic effort and patience. 18 months isn't bad. I'm in! At the beginning of this month I decided to go all in with TH-cam and just work on posting and learning. I've posted 1 video a day while creating my strategy and plan. I already have a business so I am home all the time. When I am not working with clients I'm creating content like my livelihood depends on it. I'm a nanny for my sister who will have another baby in July. I desire to be the rich auntie.. lol! Honestly, I want to be able to do more for my family. So I said I'm going all in on TH-cam. Let's see where I am in 18 months.
I’m not anywhere close to those stats but I am doing all 5 things at some level. I’m only posting once a week since October. I want to post twice but I can’t, yet. I do feel that I have knowledge in my industry that can set me apart from many other fitness TH-camrs, but for now I have to be happy with what I’m doing until I get monetized. Based on my growth since October 2023 (when I decided to take this seriously), I have about another 6 months to go before I’ll get 3000 watch hours. Probably 8-10 months for the 4000 watch hours. I am tracking my traffic and happy with my efforts in step 5, seeing that my training plans on TrainingPeaks is #3 on the list for where most my traffic is coming from. Trying to make this a career is not easy and it definitely requires a dedicated entrepreneurial mindset and intentional efforts put forth towards your goals. And a hell of a lot of patience. Being realistic is also key. I want to do so much but I will crash and burn if I try. And I am NOT going to sacrifice my active lifestyle and mental health to make this work. It’s gotta be part of the process, as TH-cam couldn’t pay me enough to do that. But I will stay up late once in a while to make sure I stay consistent with my weekly video release. 😂 Good luck to all the teeny tiny channels like me working hard to grow. Keep your chin up, mind on your goals, and don’t quit. We got this! 👊
I hope all new channels stay strong. Our videos may look terrible in the beginning, but dont forget we are gaining and perfecting a skill. Go easy on yourself 😊. Be proud of each video you put out no matter how it looks. Each one is a step in the right direction.
My experience so far after having my TH-cam Channel for 1 year: Ad Revenue: $350 Brand Deals: $600 Affiliates: $2400 Coaching Program: $145,000 Expenses: Filming Gear: $20,000 Editing: $18,000 I made videos for about 7 months then launched a coaching program for real estate agents. I got monitized about 7 months in. I only spend a few hours a week on TH-cam. I don't have many subscribers though and haven't posted many videos in the last few months. My goal is to bring in more ad revenue and get more subscribers so I can do this full time! I currently still do real estate and would love to stop and focus more on making much better videos!
@@ManPursueExcellence You could get away with less but if you are focusing on quality like different lenses and cameras, lighting and tripod then 10k is easy to spend on equipment but 20k is not unheard of.
Consistency is the 🔑. Started my journey Feb 2024 after I lost my job and making contents to motivate and inspire others. Been slow growth but I won’t give up. Persistence and patience will pay off. Good luck to all creators. Thank you. 🙏
This journey to create a successful TH-cam channel is pretty good. Just need to have consistency. I’m starting to upload videos this month of June 1st and my goal is to be full time by May 16th 2025, few days before my wife’s birthday and my reward is to give her one week vacation in Peru 🎉🎉. I will work to achieve that 😊
Great video, I have 145 videos 2 videos a week consistent. I'm at 627 subs and I'm 16 months in. It takes time and patience, hard work. I literally love what I do and that is what keeps me driven. I spend 3 hours a day working on my channel editing, and preparing for my next content. I work on my channel a hour on my full time job, then i split the other 2 hours at home. This is my everyday plan. I don't concern with how long it's going to take to get monetized. My concern is to bring good content, to gain an audience, a community and the rest will fall in place.
Just hit 100k subscribers in 5 months using shorts. Got my verification checkmark beside my name. Waiting on the silver play button to arrive in the mail! Thanks Think Media for all the lessons that helped me get to this point!
According to this, I guess this is my job. I always thought of it in reverse; I've been a Professional Organizer (so, consultant) for 23 years. 12 years ago I started my YT channel, 10+ years after I was up and running. 2 years ago I totally abandoned YT because I was too busy to create. I'm ramping it up again now with a lot more focus and clarity. Now my focus is to grow my email list to build the online coaching part of my business. At the height of my channel 5ish years ago, it was SO good for business, resulting in me getting flown around the country to consult. I'm so excited to be back in the game! Your channel is pure gold.
This is inspiring! I’ve been on TH-cam for about 8 months now, still chasing that 1k subscribers and 4k watch hours milestone. Reading all these comments gives me so much hope, and I know I'm going to get there soon. Thank you all for sharing your journeys and inspiring us to keep going!
I totally understand the struggle! I've recently dedicated myself to TH-cam full-time (started a month ago) and I'm facing a similar challenge. I need to monetize my channel within the next 6 months to support myself, as I don't have any other income sources. It's a daunting task, but seeing others success gives me hope! Keep pushing...
You can do it!!! We’re hoping the same for us- we’re trying this full time and took a break from our jobs. It is a little scary but I think taking a risk on yourself is probably the most rewarding thing you can do because no matter what - you will be growing and learning about yourself through this journey! And that’s a huge win. Wishing you get everything you need to support yourself :)
Leaving the negativity of TikTok and short form content to come here. Just started my channel and it’s so different! Went from 145,000 followers to less than 200. I’m not going to stop because I have something great to teach! This is more of a learning platform, so it suits me better. I’m going to fake it until I make it! Anyone else feel like this?
Sean, I’ve been watching you for longer than I can even remember since before I started my channel back in 2017 You’ve been going so hard lately. I can’t help to think that you have to be exhausted. Or you could be the complete opposite and fired up and I am rooting for you regardless. Just wanted to drop a thank you note and I hope you take care of yourself because we need you to keep going!!
I agree. He actually seems exhausted. You can see it in his face and eyes. I worry for him as a sister in Christ. You can tell he is carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders.
I've been creating content on TH-cam for almost a year and have yet to earn my first dollar. I'm currently at 53 videos, 162 subscribers, and nearly 50 watch hours, but I made some errors early on and recently. I reframed it about 2 weeks ago on my channel but I'm now skeptical about whether I messed with the algorithm too much. A part of me agrees with that year-and-a-half timeline, but I'd like to believe it all comes down to your prior reasons for starting a TH-cam channel, positioning it the right way so the algorithm can serve you, being consistent in uploading, and fully studying what you're doing/learning from other people. Having said that, it depends on the time and quality you are putting into creating and learning. Thank you for your advice and for being one of many lights in this rollercoaster life of a world we live in. I applaud the video where Nolan talked about setting up your TH-cam description to get more views and potentially more money. I've made a couple changes to my videos (I've yet to tackle the rest) and my views have gone up! May God continually bless you and those around you!😃🙏
Been on TH-cam 3yrs ,earn from Amazon , Adsense and merch on both my cleaning and bbq channel. Not enough income to go fulltime yet . Hopefully in 6 months
Started my channel last year and i was just uploading without a niche and i had 100k views but only 300subs. Now with the knowledge i got from sean and think media.. time to lock in 💪🏾💯🔥
Thanks a lot! Some notes : 1.having a niche 2.good content (educational, entertaining, inspirational) for your audience + get them engaged. Vidéo concise, good script, organised script, eye contact 3.the hook (1st few seconds : show what they came to see, raison to see) , title, thumbnail (minimal, big, easy to see content) '' what I am missing by not watching this video'' 4.be strategic : do research, use vidIQ, stats/data, create system : post 1 video / week, organise yourself 5.mindset : get ready to learn and grow slowly.use affiliate links before having adsens. You're crazy before to be successful then you're a genius 6.just do it, no matter your equipment
Been dipping in and out of 4hr work week philosophy etc. but this was the video i needed to really give myself a kick and plan a work week (for yt) same as I would my actual work. Gonna finally niche down too. Let's get it. Thanks Sean!
I have just over 4 months of publishing content. I had a video go viral and gain me about 14.5 k subs in about a month and still climbing. I have a very niche focus. Off grid gringo building tree houses in Mexico.. That wasn't quite enough though, once I switched to the same content in Spanish, it went wild. Now I only post videos in Spanish. After the first video went viral I hustled to pump out content in Spanish. It has been very well received... Due to the fact that I live off grid in Mexico, the money I've earned from those videos is enough to last a long time... I celebrated and went to the beach, but now it is time to dive in again and focus on it as.. a job... . Luckily this lifestyle affords me the time to edit, record, study, etc. I understand that this is a luxury not available to most, but I can tell that it is going to require more attention if I really want to count on this.
I’ve been on TH-cam for 7 years. Started taking it hard core seriously for about a year. Almost at 10k but still a ways to go before monetized! Hoping by the end of summer!! ❤
It took me about a year to become monetized and I started in 2017. I’m now a full time creator and I do everything myself. This video was very interesting!
@@ITguySav I post at least one long form video a week and several shorts, which is probably the best way to get new viewers. Good luck to you, it takes time and patience but is attainable. 🙌
@@Jennyfromtheshop Okay, I’ll try that now on! Thank you! 😊 I watched few videos on your channel. Very interesting and well presented. 👍👍 Two thumbs-ups!
I'm just over 2 years on TH-cam now. I have 473 subs, over 144K views, and less than 150 hrs WT. Clearly, I am not monitized. I know why I am not. My niche is broad and somewhat specific in areas. I took this on as a need to learn new things. I was depressed. I have learned a lot and continue to learn. I am hopeful that I am on the right path as I have been setting new goals and have new content coming as I want to solidify myself as a TH-camr and a vlogger. If you're reading this, have a fabulous day!
I feel this is real as i am in a similar boat. Business people might be able to make things launch instantly, but your average person takes over a year to even get going. My case has been the same as yours. I have 2 channels. One was since November 2022 (self help channel) and about April 2023 (product channel review). The first channel has about 250 subs and the second just hit 500 about today. Its truly not easy as people think. I like people knowing the truth so they start early and also dont get frustrated in thinking it is suppose to happen right away.
Hey! I just looked at your channel and I love the shift that you are making in your channel and getting more focused in on what you want to do. Hopefully the SEO will help you bring in the audience that you are looking to attract.
Love the video! I have recently gone full-time as one of the expert creators (data science) and I agree with everything presented in the survey. I am 1 month in and working this as my job, it's what I do now. I do think that the startup cost is a little overstated, depending on what you buy. I would add that don't mess around with fancy cameras & lenses - I spent too much time on that - an iPhone has a quality camera and will do just fine. If you take this video and then combine it with some of Hormozi's stuff, it can help growth (it's what I'm doing).
4 subscribers currently! Not long till I hit that 1k milestone haha. Trying to build a gaming Community for the millennial gamer so started sharing content from games I play. In it for the long haul so found some useful insight from this video. Thank you 😊
This gave me some hope. I hate the fight between my ego thinking my content is good and my ego fearing it's bad. I'm trying to find ways to give something more to my audience than just eye candy. Then I realize it doesn't stop there. Even when I find something, the delivery is just as important.
It took me much longer. 13 months to monetize. That was 3 months ago. I'm now at 16 months in and am nowhere near a full time income but I'm looking forward to continuing to grow
Just on my 5th month for my only channel and yet to be monetized with 11k subs, 18 months is a long way to go, need to adopt that 5-Step Plan to be there, thank you Sean for sharing all these valuable insights. . .
I feel I'm in sync with this timeline. I'm now in my 13 month. May is going to be my biggest earning month. And I'm almost at 10k subs. I hit monetization around 5 months. ❤
Just 1 month into this. Not entirely sure I can do it. 1000 subs and 4000 watch hours seems impossible right now. I have 14 subs which does not feel too bad. I am hope that one gains momentum over time.
I am still working on monetization. I took a break for 2 years. I came back. Only thing left is the 4k watch hours. I treat this as my career. I've been consistent posting 3 times a week for over a year. That's huge for me. I appreciate the motivation from many of you content creators. Thank you!❤
I’d love to spend all my time on TH-cam. But also have a child and a full time job. To say “all your time” feels defeating to me because I can’t neglect my present responsibilities for the hope of my dream to come to fruition. I still am trying. Those of you that hit monetized in a few months. You’re very fortunate. I’m on my third year. Near 3,000 subs. So slowly but surely.
I posted my 1st TH-cam video 4 months ago and I’m at 970 subscribers and I haven’t made a single $1 yet but I’ve been loving the journey so far and I’m gonna keep going 🙏🏼
Thanks for the info!! We just started recording our VanLife journey across the US with our dog and cat! We started 3 months ago and we’re almost at 400 subscribers and 194 watch time hours - so we clearly are not monetized but reading thru all these comments have inspired us to keep going. We love what we’re doing and we’re hoping being PASSIONATE and HAVING FUN making these videos will be key to being successful. Would love to hear back from anyone to know your thoughts on this. Also If you’re reading this - have a positive & wonderful day!!!
The timeline laid out for a TH-cam content creator's journey from start to sustainability is incredibly insightful. It highlights the importance of patience and strategic planning in the growth phase, especially in balancing creative and administrative tasks. 📈
@EcomCarl I just looked at your channel and was surprised to see that you have over 300 videos. You should be monetized by now. Why not change from targeting Facebook to TH-cam. I've seen channels blow up with less than 45 videos all because they target persons who wants to grow on TH-cam. Just a little suggestion.
Can’t wait to what a year from now will be. Deleted everything and I am starting brand new again. New format, new ways, and more fitting. I promise to myself that this is for “me” so I won’t give up and take too long to post anymore. ❤
i think this is so individual.. everyone's channel is as unique as people are. i haven't seen 2 exact same channels even if similarities. but facts are you have a strategy, team, commitment, you are in the game . actually, its becoming a lifestyle for me 😁 Thank you Think Media! ❤
This was super helpful. I just started my channel last week. My third video will go out tomorrow morning. I've run two small businesses, and this will be my third. 18 months seems right- if not maybe optimistic for replacing your income. I've been hosting neighborhood soup nights at my house for many years, and now I'm just hoping to find the people who are wanting to host their neighbors and don't know where to start. It's been great for our neighborhood, and I'd love to empower others to bring soup night to their neighborhood. Anyhow, thank you for this. I'm signed up for one of your classes next week.
With time, clarity and focus, full-time income can be achieved in 6 months. But that's comes only after a long time of learning and planning. I've been already creating content for 4 years, and only now I have a clear idea what I'm doing.
I'm a brand new creator and this information is amazing. I do have to say that I've only been on for less than 30 days and I'm in love with TH-cam! I take all tips, suggestions and blueprints you can share. Thank you in advance!
I am about 2 years in. 122k subs. I got monetized in about 45 days and was earning profit in ~4 months. Last year the channel grossed ~$46K but I’ve been stuck right around the same monthly income for several months now. This a side hustle for me, but I put in probably 15-20 hours a week. Looking to diversify revenue streams in the hope of making it a full time gig in the next 1-2 years 👍🏻
Great podcast, thanks for the metrics and tips! I'm retired military and I started a Military History / Military Fiction channel, currently @2K subs. The monetization reqs. seem difficult, the watch time hours in particular, it doesn't seem like I'll ever get to the 3K watch hours. At this point, I'm focusing on building a community and tieing in other platforms, primarily my website, I am seeing that you cannot depend solely on YT, there are simply too many variables, diversify your approach, just like you do with investments....thats my strategy.
Thanks for the info. This entire topic has become fascinating to me. I have run businesses successfully my entire career so trust me when I say....this is a different animal! Semi retired and new to the space myself....the learning curve has been one of the most intense I have ever experienced. We are in an age when anyone can put anything out there and burn your time with information that may be complete garbage....or it may be good solid advice....but in either case everyone has their hand out in one way or another. I am continuing to enjoy the learning curve and journey...and it's always pleasant to come across video's like yours that are done professionally, with good and well researched information and presented in a way that stimulates growth. Appreciate you.
In my case it was easier to create and grow a channel than to boost a stuck one. When a channel gets stuck and decreases it is like "the algorithm" says "now very few for you" so it becomes harder and harder to keep the uploading rithm. And in the end you don't know if you are stuck for the first reason or because you are uploading less and less.
I just started a week ago and I am loving it:) I'm a painter, student and educator who shares my creative process. So far the filming and editing has been fun and engaging. I'm surprised that I'm really enjoying this. If you ever told me I would enjoy editing videos, I would've laughed you out the room :)
I've been creating casually for almost 9 years now, but I only got serious and targeted about two months ago. I've had a blog, TH-cam channel, and a podcast. Today I'm focusing mostly on TH-cam with some Tiktok, but TH-cam has performed so much better for me than Tiktok. I made my first dollar around two years ago through Buy Me a Coffee.
Depends on the niche and if you manage to take off. We are in the travel vlog segment. We have friends who started about 3 years ago and are making 6 figures a year traveling full time. We know others, who can't make much at all. We've been putting out content seriously for 3 months. Very shortly we will pass the 1000 subs and 4000 watch hours. It is not difficult if you make good content and are an interesting personality. For those who keep at it and aren't getting traffic or views... who knows. Either the nature of your content is not interesting to viewers or something. Not everyone has a personality to bring in viewers and subs, this is like TV.
It can take 1000s of hours of unpaid work before being monetised. Have different revenue streams- adsense doesn't pay much. Build a community, email list and have a business strategy- there is a wealth of free advice by creators on YT about this. Good luck everyone, with every start up business no matter what you will have to work A LOT of unpaid hours!
When I first started (2018) I got the first 2 milestones on the second or third month already, but the others never came. Stopped early 2022 and now I'm getting back with better plan... If my journey looks like that I'm happy.
@@jollyjames30 I covered the fantasy, sci-fi and horror genres in games, movies, etc... Did mostly site articles, streams and social media. Now I'm switching to backlogs and collecting adjacent topics, while naturally covering those genres because they are at the center of what I play, watch and read. Are you planning your niche?
I worked for a major news outlet for years before getting hit with layoffs. This is a great video because it really hits home. I've been doing YT for a few years now and only have 366 followers but I feel like I have only been dedicated for a year or so. I get a ton of clients from YT but they don't subscribe. I feel like I'm somewhere between hobbyist and influence.... Maybe. Great stuff as always!
I ended up calling a heavy music website. TH-cam was/is our week link. The first few years, it was neglected. Until I came in and started and Started to make interview videos and other things. We've been around a good 12 years at this point but our TH-cam does not reflect such growth. Currently sitting around 4800. 158 was our last payout 🤷🏾♂️ but at least we're rocking 950,000 in WHs🖤🤘🏾
So cool and inspirational to everyone who runs a small business or small TH-cam channel, too! We're all in this together as passionate creators. Cheers to everybody who follows their dreams! We got this!
I hope the fire in me stays lit. 3 days ago a fire lit in me and I made 6 shorts and 6 long form videos. I was at 150 subs and reached 225 today, which isn’t a lot by any means, but at least I’m seeing the hard work pay off. I know I’m doing these videos for the right reason because I know there is someone on the other side of the screen that has been dreaming for decades of buying there dream Rv and taking that dream trip with the family, but the daunting landscape of all the different options out there makes it hard to make the jump. The more I post the more I know they are getting an honest look at what’s out there. I also really really enjoy making these videos and learning cool new ways to edit them. Fingers crossed I keep the consistency and momentum. I’ll come back to this video periodically and see how much I’ve grown🙏🏼
I’m two years in and am not full time yet. I’m currently at 2.1k subs. I do get sent a ton of products though from the brands I work with and have started to rack up some brand deals/sponsors. I also don’t do any coaching or products yet either though so I’m sure that makes a difference. I’ll have to get that going soon. I’m curious to see what I’ll be able to do when I hit 4k-5k.
My son LEBRAAG start is channel August 2023. I encouraged him to post daily and livestream. He did it all using his iPhone. Now he is fully monetized and has reached 35k subs and over 7 million views.
Thanks for this video. I’ve had my channel for years, however, in October of 2023 I decided to get Monetized and grow my audience. Five months later after two 30 day projects, I posted a daily art video, I became monetized in April. Those watch time hours were hard to acquire. I have 5688 subs here on TH-cam and 28k on Instagram. I’m just starting to monetize with collage books, selling my work and soon an online course. Knowing that it takes about 18 months to go full time is exciting. I can actually envision that happening. For me consistency and providing value are key. 😬
We have been creating videos for about for 4 months now. So far the work has been time consuming however the end result is very rewarding so we will continue and hopefully become full time in the future 🤞
Oh dear, I guess I'm in the minority, LOL! But I will say that since I've had time to upload on a regular basis, I have noticed growth in my channel, which is incredibly exciting for me to see!! I'm hoping to be monetized within 4 yrs. HUGE HUGE HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to those of you who are reaching this goal in just a few months of launching your channel!!!! I'm in total awe, LOL!! Love, Elaine
Within the first 5 minutes of this video listening to the statistics of going from zero to full time I can definitely say that was not the journey that happened for me 😂
Well I have been following you for some time and I have even purchased your courses. I just never made time to grow. I have two other channels with around 3000 followers etc and I am ready to get serious. I quit my job for my health and I am currently a freelancer. I have the time to commit to my craft! Can't wait !!
3 weeks ago I decided to create contents on my specific niche and gained almost 100k views and 6.5K public watch hour from 4 videos. Now im eligible for monetization, but i'm not sure if i should go for it, as i'm afraid having ads on my videos will push viewers away. My long term goal is to gain sponsorship from external brands, as this pays way higher than TH-cam itself. Should I signup for adsense anyways or keep my videos adfree and aim for my long term goal instead?
Google places ads on your videos once your channel gets high views. Until you sign up for monetization they keep all the profits. So yes you should sign up and earn what's rightfully yours!
My first channel took me about a year to get monetized. With that said I didn't fully focus on it so if I fully focused on it it would have been 6 months Since then I am getting close to being able to do it full time it's been about a year now and I'm part-time I started a couple of other channels my latest one took me about a month to get monetize and start to earn money. So it is very much about your knowledge

Fishing with squirrel tails is definitely unique. So is the hunting dog killer. Those titles are great attention-grabbers. Good job on the videos!
@@readingcanbemagical I just posted on TH-cam for fun. After the first one started running a little bit I thought maybe I have something here! The next few I was a little more deliberate in trying to make something interesting. It was all organic views.
@@KC-ep3ov Thank you! Now I hope I can do some more interesting stuff going forward.
My wife tries to motivate me every day to push harder.
i just subscribed to your channel. I love those types of videos. :)

Sugar auntie in the making!
Lol!! Proudly 😎😂

I’m putting this on my vision board ! Thank you !
I agree stay with it. I follow back
My experience so far after having my TH-cam Channel for 1 year:
Ad Revenue: $350
Brand Deals: $600
Affiliates: $2400
Coaching Program: $145,000
Expenses:
Filming Gear: $20,000
Editing: $18,000
I made videos for about 7 months then launched a coaching program for real estate agents.
Were you a real estate coach prior to TH-cam? Thanks
@@Realtalkwithlin nope I actually started coaching about 7 months after I started my TH-cam channel because people were asking me to teach them!
So wait, you made $145k from coaching in 5 months?? 🤯
Why’d you spend so much on gear?
I'm not a businessman, I'm a business, man. Excellent.
Just hit 100k subscribers in 5 months using shorts. Got my verification checkmark beside my name. Waiting on the silver play button to arrive in the mail! Thanks Think Media for all the lessons that helped me get to this point!
@@justinuriahphoto it's very hard to make money just off shorts.
Sean, I’ve been watching you for longer than I can even remember since before I started my channel back in 2017
You’ve been going so hard lately.

I am about to post my very first video!
Thanks a lot! Some notes :
1.having a niche
2.good content (educational, entertaining, inspirational) for your audience + get them engaged. Vidéo concise, good script, organised script, eye contact
3.the hook (1st few seconds : show what they came to see, raison to see) , title, thumbnail (minimal, big, easy to see content) '' what I am missing by not watching this video''
4.be strategic : do research, use vidIQ, stats/data, create system : post 1 video / week, organise yourself
5.mindset : get ready to learn and grow slowly.use affiliate links before having adsens. You're crazy before to be successful then you're a genius
6.just do it, no matter your equipment
Been dipping in and out of 4hr work week philosophy etc. but this was the video i needed to really give myself a kick and plan a work week (for yt) same as I would my actual work. Gonna finally niche down too. Let's get it. Thanks Sean!

5 months and I went full time :) TH-cam can be awesome if you get the right affiliate deals etc too
I have just over 4 months of publishing content.

I am hopeful that I am on the right path as I have been setting new goals and have new content coming as I want to solidify myself as a TH-camr and a vlogger.

@planetdee3587 Thanks for the comment! It's true what you say. I just keep plugging along and hope, maybe one day something will stick! ✌️
Good info. I’ve been doing YT seriously for 8 years. I have 98k subs and I make $400 per month. Definitely not enough to live on.
Congrats on 98k subs!
Thanks for the comment Dennis. Awesome to hear your story! 🙏🏼

Thanks for sharing and thank you for your service. 🙏🏻
What was your niche?
Working hard to get this to be my job 🎉 so happy to see everyone in the comments working hard on their dreams too
This gives hope. I sometimes think I must create bad content since I’m not succeeding in a minute :)
I can’t believe it took me so long to subscribe to this channel. It’s always excellent and professional content! Thank you for all that you do!
So many value gems in this! Persistence will help get to your goals and lead to success 'eventually' :)
So cool and inspirational to everyone who runs a small business or small TH-cam channel, too! We're all in this together as passionate creators. Cheers to everybody who follows their dreams! We got this!
You never when you can breakout the youtube shell. I once thought getting someone click the subscriber button was hard, until I started posting😁❤
It’s definitely taken me more than 5 months to make my first dollar but I know I need to be more consistent. 🙏🏾
THANK YOU SO MUCH 🎊 🎉
Thanks for this video. 😬
Thanks for the info! 💯🎉
Love, Elaine
you just need 60 more subs and 4k watch hours. you are 1 good video away.
Within the first 5 minutes of this video listening to the statistics of going from zero to full time I can definitely say that was not the journey that happened for me 😂
Great Knowledge- from Dallas TX
Well I have been following you for some time and I have even purchased your courses. I just never made time to grow. I have two other channels with around 3000 followers etc and I am ready to get serious. I quit my job for my health and I am currently a freelancer. I have the time to commit to my craft! Can't wait !!
It takes a little bit to become sucessful on TH-cam but it is well worth it! ❤
This does seem fast. Is this info gleaned from the history of a sample of creators who are monetized, or from all creators who start a channel?
3 weeks ago I decided to create contents on my specific niche and gained almost 100k views and 6.5K public watch hour from 4 videos. Now im eligible for monetization, but i'm not sure if i should go for it, as i'm afraid having ads on my videos will push viewers away. My long term goal is to gain sponsorship from external brands, as this pays way higher than TH-cam itself. Should I signup for adsense anyways or keep my videos adfree and aim for my long term goal instead?
Every videos already gets ads placed automatically
Google places ads on your videos once your channel gets high views. Until you sign up for monetization they keep all the profits. So yes you should sign up and earn what's rightfully yours!
My first channel took me about a year to get monetized. With that said I didn't fully focus on it so if I fully focused on it it would have been 6 months
Since then I am getting close to being able to do it full time it's been about a year now and I'm part-time
I started a couple of other channels my latest one took me about a month to get monetize and start to earn money. So it is very much about your knowledge
Chess channel and I got about 37 subs right now having fun with it
