Man it’s awesome to see another fellow Wisconsin/Driftless angler. Obtaining information about fly fishing the Midwest has been kinda tricky for me and your videos have helped a ton! Thanks a bunch dude!
All these shots of the wild parsnip. 😵😵😵 I can’t ever forget what that did to me one year up near north and south bear. I had a run in with freshly mowed hogweed up there as well walking through the field in shorts and water shoes. Still have scars 15 years later! Great vid and new subscriber here.
nice catches. I'm on other side of Iowa and thinking about coming that way, maybe this year but definitely next year. can i expect a good day or should i take two
Because i don't want you too get into trouble but iowa fly fishing regulations states that you can only fish with 2 hooks on your rig. You can use the chubby chernobyl as an indicator but you have to cut the hook part off. I was born and raised in northeastern iowa. I've lived there my whole life and have fly fished it as well. You should hit up south pine sometime. Go in the spring or fall. It's nothing but brookies and they're wild.

That really means a lot man! I am so glad you enjoy them! I agree 100%, finding any sort of info on this part of the country can be tough.

Im heading up there here soon to do some. Trout fishing. Looks like a great place to fish. Nice job!
It can be tricky depending on the season! But times look right for a monster!!!
