IOWA DRIFTLESS REGION: I WAS LIVING A DRIFTESS TROUT DREAM!! (Fly Fishing Paint Creek, Marquette IA)

This is part two of our test run with these new indicators from GHOSTech Strike-indicators! As the sun was starting to drift behind the hills the fish really started to go crazy! I am starting to think this National Forest (Yellow River N.F.) got its name from the buttery yellow browns that hide in its deep pools! I could not have chosen a better day to do something like this! I had one of my best days of the Spring! I ended up catching three really nice brown trout and a handful of little bows to fill the time between. The last one I hooked into about pulled me into the river! It fought like hell and put my gear to a major test! We barely got this kyped donkey in and he was hooked by the skin of his teeth… Literally… Such an epic day, all while using a brand new indicator rig. I am going to do a completely separate video on it and it should be out soon. All I can say.. Is that I really like what I see so far!

Really enjoy your videos and enthusiasm. Yes, would be great for you to show how you tie your flies and how you rig your line. Do you tie the dropper off the bend or the eye? Ever off an extended tag end? What knots do you use? A good technical video would be great. Awesome channel!

Great set!!!!
Paint is a long stream. Occasionally throw in which general area of stream you fish. But I am definitely gonna make that trip to paint and explore it!
