One of my blades got stuck in a tree root and I didn’t know what to do. Lucky my mower is the same as your’s . Without your video i would’ve had to but a new mower. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
I have watched all of your videos on the 100 series John Deere tractor and you have been very helpful. I have now learned how to remove my deck, Grease all parts needed, sharpen my blades and maintain my mower at a much lower cost by doing it all myself. Thank You So Much!
Thank You!!!! This helped saved me tons of money from a local vendor trying to change me $1700 to replace it, when it only required to be taken off and clean off the built up dirt and gunk that was built up over the years. Thank You!
Thanks Jim, just finished replacing both blade spindles on my E130's cutting deck. I watched your videos to familiarize myself with the procedure and it went without a hitch, thanks to you!
Just got my first John Deere and wanted to perform a little maintenance, painting, and seat change, and this page was easy to follow, had it off and back on in minutes. Thanks!
Just found your channel as I’ve recently purchased a John Deere lawn tractor in the UK. (X135R). Your videos have been really helpful as I like to do all my own servicing. The way you explain the process is great. Many thanks! All the best from across the pond.
Love the gentle easy to follow pace for newbies like me to digest easily. Great video clarity, even in the very dark sections so it is plain what is happening and needs to be done. MANY THANKS
I have had my D110 for 6 years and never serviced it myself (just a couple of times at the dealer). This spring I knew I was on the hook 'cause the blades are completely dull, this video is a great resource. Thank you for making it!
You are the best so far. Many posts are done with good intent, BUT YOU ARE MORE CLEAR AND VERY VERY INFORMATIVE. Video is clean. THANKS FROM A Vietnam Veteran.
Neighbor gave us one of these last year. Runs good after charging battery and fixing tires with green slime. Figured its overdue for blade sharpening. Thanks for the deck removal demonstration. Always easier with a short video before diving into it for the first time.. Saw the 5 pins that support the deck. Belt looked spring loaded. Didnt notice the cable before this video. Thanks.
That is a great video! I searched for instructions on how to remove the deck on my John Deere 125, and found you. Very clear, concise, and to the point. I will be returning often to learn more about keeping my JD up to snuff! Keep up the good work, my friend.
One of the best DIY videos I've watched. I will be taking out my deck and getting my blades sharp for the weeks of cutting ahead this spring and summer. Nice work and thank you.
Wow! By far the best YT video on working on everything JD 100 series! All others go through too fast to absorb the info or are too “commercially” and hard to follow. Deff subbing for more great content👊
Watched some other videos as your video wouldn't load for some reason. They were helpful and had good descriptions, but my mower is exactly like the one you are working on in the video and I'm sure an earlier model. The springs went flying when removing the big spring and one I didn't how to put back on and now I do so thank you very much. The other dark one on the brake is ???? Your descriptions are very clear, not too fast if you are new at this, and the video is clear and precise. Excellent job!
Another great instructional video Jim. I have had my LA105 over her in Australia for about a year (secondhand) and was having all sorts of issues, but after discovering your channel it has never run better or cut better. Thanks for all your efforts.
So glad I could help. How is everything going in Australia? Is everything true what I am hearing you can not barley leave your house? Or is that only one place in Australia? I have prayed for your country. Hope your safe my friend
@@DIYJIM Thanks for your thoughts Jim. I'm in Queensland and we are doing well here. Unlike the southern states where Delta is running rampant. I'm glad I'm not in uniform either these days (24years Air Force) as there is too much on their plates. Really enjoy your videos and have helped me a lot.
@@Raafman42 I work in a prison I really don’t think Delta is as bad as the media is making it out to be. This is coming from nurses and doctors that I know. God bless
This was very good instruction with good camera work also. I have just purchased an S130 and didn't have a clue how to remove the deck. Now I do, Thanks!
I would like to Thank you for these John Deere videos! My father passed away almost 4 years ago and I have been using his D110. Since it was his, I really didn't know much about it and I've been using it to cut the grass but I have been neglecting the maintenance on it (aside from oil changes). Your videos have really inspired me to really "get into" the machine and make sure to keep it maintained so as to keep it running as long as possible. I cannot repay you for the knowledge that you have passed on but know that I am truly grateful!
Good for you boss man! Hope your channel is monetized and making some money for you. DIY and Handyman work will definitely be the highest paying work soon. I truly believe that. Most people can't wipe their own Ace without proper instruction. Thinking about starting my own channel but idk how it all works. Keep at it! God bless
Maybe I should make a video on how to start a DIY TH-cam channel thanks for the nice comment it’s a lot of work. I am monetized now it took me about a year before I got my 1000 subscribers
Excellent video, @ 68 I was able to remove my mower deck by myself and of course your video....it did take me (female) twice as long. Again, Thank-you, Buzz.
Thank you so so much for this video! You simplified it enough that I can do it myself (I hope!). Being female, it’s always a good feeling to be able to do it yourself 😊. Your videos have helped me a lot!

I got the deck to my E130 back on and had a pin left. I decided to go to TH-cam and get some help. It was the first one you took off, I forgot about that one. I'm 70 and have a difficult time reaching under the machine. I attached the blade engagement spring before I got the deck all the way under the tractor. That way I could see how it went and get some leverage on it.
Great instructional video! The last pin that you put in for the cable was put in a vertical position, (10:15) it is supposed to go in horizontally and through the little hole.
You are most welcome, did you see the other 19 videos i made for the John Deere? there all in this playlistth-cam.com/play/PLZEGsnRsdHN6EMDlttQ5U8AtlmiOM_zOT.html
Appreciate the video very easy to follow and understand! I have an E180 so 52 inch deck, only thing I’d add is I needed to take off the front deck wheel in order to get it out.
I have a snow blower so no use for a blade. But I would recommend putting some chains on the tires if you do this. They also make a snow blower attachment
Good vids...prepping. plan on getting a JD...s130 I believe come spring time. I'll miss my Cub 169...and all it's metal/strength and simplicity. but got to go with smaller, lighter, quieter, more comfortable riding. Still looks like half of it is junk/cheap stuff.
